‘God in America’ 8 p.m., PBS: The first installment of this six-hour study of religion in America begins with the attempted conversion of Pueblo Indians in New Mexico.
‘Hardcover Mysteries’ 8 p.m., Investigation Discovery: Authors discuss the crimes that inspired their best-sellers in this new series.
‘Texas Quints’ 9 p.m., TLC: Oh, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby.

Tuesday
‘Private Chefs of Beverly Hills’ 8 p.m., Food Network:
Lorenzo Lamas throws a party for his new motorcycle in the Season 2 opener.
‘Running Wilde’ 8:30 p.m., Fox: Puddle’s boyfriend dumps her; Andy Richter guest stars (hopefully not as Puddle’s boyfriend).
‘Detroit 1-8-7’ 9 p.m., ABC: Xzibit guests as a record producer while the team investigates the murders of a car wash owner and a hip-hop star.

Wednesday
‘Michael Feinstein’s American Songbook’ 7 p.m., PBS:
The host studies World War II-era pop music and pens an original patriotic number.
‘What’s Eating You?’ 9 p.m., E!: Anorexia and bulimia are examined in the first of this six-part series.
‘Storm Chasers’ 9 p.m., Discovery: A twister hits west Texas in the Season 4 premiere.

Thursday
‘Community’ 7 p.m., NBC:
The series returns to its bread and butter — genre parody — in a spoof on ‘Apollo 13.’
’30 Rock’ 7 p.m., NBC: In tonight’s highly anticipated live episode, Tracy pulls a Jimmy Fallon and laughs during every sketch. Expect some actual sketch comedy in this episode, broadcast from the ‘Saturday Night Live’ studios.

Friday
‘School Pride’ 7 p.m., NBC:
‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’s’ Cheryl Hines produces this series, premiering tonight, that enlists communities to renovate decaying schools.
‘Man Caves’ 7 p.m., Do It Yourself: Does this hallway renovation exemplify scraping the bottom of the barrel? Yes … the beer barrel.

Saturday
‘NASCAR Racing’ 6:30 p.m., ABC:
The race for the Sprint Cup continues with the Bank of America 500 from Charlotte Motor Speedway. Zoom zoom.
‘Austin City Limits’ 7 p.m., PBS: friends Shawn Colvin and Emmylou Harris join headliner Patty Griffin.
‘Tower Prep’ 8 p.m., Cartoon Network: This new live action series finds teens with strange powers awakening in a mysterious prep school.

Sunday
‘Nature’ 7 p.m., PBS:
This episode catches up with the family of Echo, the much-chronicled elephant who died in 2009.
‘Rubicon’ 8 p.m., AMC: Season 1 concludes with discoveries for Will and Katherine.
‘Mad Men’ 9 p.m., AMC: Don and Peggy face life-changing decisions in the Season 4 finale.
