Sony’s Google TV remote:

Okay, so that’s deceptive. That top photo is the remote control that ships with the Apple TV, but both Apple and Google are now pushing sophisticated, functional and well-designed smartphone and iPad apps to control their companies’ new television boxes. Still, it makes a point about how out of touch Sony is, doesn’t it?
The funniest comment I’ve seen about the Sony remote was from a commenter who asked if it made labels.

As someone who has an old-school Apple TV and have used that "simple" remote to type or find something, I don't find a QWERTY keyboard out of touch at all.
