Photos of ‘My Generation’s’ Brett Aycock
Here are some photos provided by Brett Aycock. He is an Austinite, wounded Iraq War veteran and the subject of this story on his work as military technical advisor to ABC’s “My Generation.”

Long-time friends Mehcad Brooks (center) and Brett Aycock on the set of ABC’s fall drama “My Generation.” Brooks, the son of American-Statesman editorial writer Alberta Phillips, invited his friend Aycock to give him military pointers for his role. Aycock landed a gig as military advisor to the series in addition to a small speaking role.

This photo was taken in 2004 on mission in Ar Ramadi, Iraq next to the Euphrates by Mr. Blue (he is one of Aycock’s old teammates but is currently in Special Forces so Aycock cannot reveal his real name).

This photo was taken on a combat outpost in Ar Ramadi by SSG Mark Fettig. Aycock is zeroing his sniper rifle.

This photo was taken before mission in Ar Ramadi. Pictured with Aycock is his teammate SSG Mark Fettig, injured with Aycock in the grenade incident. The picture was taken by CPL Chad Foran.

Director Seith Mann snapped this photo of Aycock on the “My Generation” set.

Here’s another Seith Mann photo of Aycock on the “My Generation” set.

Brett Aycock was an outstanding soldier and is an amazing friend! I'm proud to say I know him! Though I'm not a resident, I'm sure he'll make Austin more proud than they already are!!
