More weather team changes at KVUE

Mark Murray, KVUE chief meteorologist, has provided details on other changes on the KVUE Storm Team in the wake of Meghan Danahey’s June 25 departure.

Danahey will be replaced on the DayBreak and MidDay newscasts by KVUE’s current weekend weather person Albert Ramon. Former KVUE employee Ilona McCauley (formerly Ilona Torok) is rejoining the Storm Team as weekend DayBreak meteorologist. Andrew Chung, from KVIA in El Paso, will complete the team in mid-August, reporting on weekend evening newscasts as well as environmental and weather-related stories.

McCauley has been teaching middle school science in the Leander ISD for the past two years. Murray says that she’ll she’ll miss the school kids, but the move will allow her to spend more time during the week with her own two children.

Chung earned his degree in meteorology from Florida State and has experience forecasting Texas weather in Beaumont/Port Arthur and El Paso.
