Meghan Danahey leaving KVUE
KVUE’s Meghan Danahey announced today via her Weather Corner blog that she is leaving the station where she has delivered the breakfast and lunchtime weather forecasts for the past two years.
“When I moved to Austin, I planned to stay for a long time,” Danahey wrote. “It was my hope to find love, happiness and longevity in this fantastic city. The good news I found it. The bad news I found it half way across the country.”
Danahey goes on to say that she met her future husband at a golf tournament in South Carolina last summer and will be relocating to the Charlotte area, where she hopes to continue her career in broadcast meteorology.
“The decision to leave has been difficult, but I can’t wait to start the next chapter in my life!” she writes.
Danahey’s last day at KVUE is June 25.
