‘Idol’ finalists ink recording deals

Less than 48 hours after Tuesday’s “American Idol” finale, winner Lee DeWyze and runner-up Crystal Bowersox both have record deals, according to MTV. DeWyze signed with 19 Recordings Limited and RCA Records, while Bowersox signed with 19 Recordings Limited and Jive. The article speculates that both performers’ debut albums will drop in November in order to capitalize on the lingering buzz from this summer’s Idols Live tour.

Can’t wait? Their debut singles, including Bowersox’s cover of Austinite Patty Griffin’s “Up to the Mountain,” have already been released to radio stations and iTunes, where they can be purchased by clicking on their titles, below:

“Up to the Mountain,” Crystal Bowersox

“Beautiful Day,” Lee DeWyze
