Just in time for the next flurry of chatter over an impending Austin blizzard, popular Austin newscaster Fred Cantu, who anchors the weekday 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts on Telemundo Austin, adds a new gig to his daily routine. Starting today, Cantu joins Austin radio personality Sammy Allred weekdays at noon on 98.9 FM.
No word yet on exactly what the topics of conversation will be, but whatever they talk about, Cantu and Allred will bring a unique and distinctly Austin perspective to the conversation.
Call (512) 458-TALK to participate in the program, which can be streamed online at the station’s Web site.
