Scott Fisher, KTBC’s chief meteorologist, announced Sunday that the local Fox affiliate has renewed his contract.
“Scott Fisher Is staying at FOX as the weather dude! It is official!!,” he wrote on his Facebook page,, prompting responses from fans such as, “Congratulations! You are the BEST!,” “You ARE the face of FOX!” and “Job Security…….Priceless.”
Fisher, who has been at KTBC for nine years, will be there for at least two more. “I love working for Fox and I am thrilled to have signed a new contract,” he told me.

Hello, My name is Michael Marshall. I am a 16 year old student at Connally High School. I want to be a meteorologist really bad. I saw you last night at the Round Rock Express vs. the Texas Rangers game. You looked like you were working really hard so I didn't want to bother you. I would love to come in and sit and watch you do your job. I really loved the weather and i think that it would be my dream to see that.
