Get tickets to the ‘My Band Rocks Fox’ finale
The final duel in KTBC’s battle of the bands contest “My Band Rocks Fox” will be staged live at the Texas Spirit Theater at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum on Wednesday, February 24th from 6-7 p.m.
Bands with members between the ages of 13 and 21 years old have been playing their original tunes live on Fox 7’s “Good Day Austin” for a chance to win a prize package valued at $1,000. The package includes the shooting and production of a music video and the opportunity to perform at a private BMI event in March.
The five semifinalists, determined by Internet voting, are performing on the show this week. Casino played Monday and Midnight Riot performed this morning. Invisible Target plays Wednesday morning, Neon Noodle on Thursday. Side Effects closes out the week on Friday.
The top two bands, chosen by an industry panel, will perform original 15-minute sets in the final event, which will be streamed on the station’s Web site. Visit that site to enter for tickets to attend the final battle.
