‘Parenthood’ to debut March 1
NBC has just announced its midseason schedule, and one of the highlights is the debut of the series “Parenthood.”
The show (based on the ’80s comedy of the same name), has big-name talent both behind and in front of the camera. Ron Howard is one of the executive producers, and the cast includes TV favorites such as Peter Krause, Lauren Graham and Craig T. Nelson.
A couple of names in the credits will be of special interest to Austin TV fans. Executive producer Jason Katims, who also wrote the pilot episode, is executive producer on the Austin-filmed “Friday Night Lights.” And the cast includes Austinite Stephanie Hunt, who plays Devin on “FNL.” According to the L.A. Times, Hunt plays “a close friend of one of the main characters” on “Parenthood.”
