Kris Allen sings the National Anthem before game 2 of the 2009 NBA Finals

Fresh off his National Anthem performance before game 2 of the NBA finals Sunday, “American Idol” champ Kris Allen has been officially signed to 19 Recordings/Jive Records, Entertainment Weekly reports.

I hadn’t realized that Allen already has two singles on the Billboard Hot 100, including the stupid, awful coronation theme “No Boundaries” (co-written by Idol judge Kara DioGuardi). If that aural mess can chart so high, it only bodes well for Allen’s full album’s late fall release.

The FOX television show just wrapped its 8th season, but season 9 audition dates have been announced and Dallas is on the list. Registrations are June 24-25 with tryouts on the 26th. I sing @ Gladewater Opry, Mt Plesant Opry, competed in AGAPE Fest. in Jefferson,Colgate Country Showdown in Center,I have been lucky enough to get to open for Hal Ketchum and also George Jones @ MUSIC CITY TEXAS in Linden with Richard Bowden and the Moon & Stars Band!! I sing for the Glory of God & my honest love for Country Music.Being on stage is the most amazing feeling I could possibly have. I am a member of the ASCAP Songwriter Assoc. & love to write lyrics to my own songs. I want to share the gift the Lord gave me with my Family, Friends and most of all my Fans. Thank you, Megan...
