Tucker named Big 12 player of the week
Longhorn forward P.J. Tucker was named Big 12 player of the week on Monday. Tucker, a junior, has received the award six times during his career, matching former Big 12 players Marcus Fizer (Iowa State) and Andre Emmett (Texas Tech) for the most in league history.
Tucker averaged 16.5 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 2.5 steals in victories over Kansas State and Kansas last week. Tucker scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half against Kansas.
