Longhorn recruits named McDonald’s All-Americans

Longhorn men’s basketball recruits Kevin Durant and D.J. Augustin will get a chance to play together before they suit for Texas next fall. Both have been named McDonald’s All-Americans and will play for the West all-star team in the annual McDonald’s exhibition game March 27 in San Diego. Durant is a 6-10 forward from Montrose Christian School in Maryland, and Augustin is a 6-foot point guard from Hightower High School outside Houston.

Texas women’s recruit Brittainey Raven of Fort Worth also was named a McDonald’s All-American, as was Texas A&M recruit Adrian McGowen of Goodrich, Texas Tech recruit Jordan Murphree of Weatherford and Baylor recruit Danielle Wilson of New York.
