Hey, I co-directed/produced a documentary called “State vs. Reed” and its playing this Monday (the 19th) at the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown at 7 PM. I hope you come see it …

This 60 minute piece details the course of events that landed Bastrop’s Rodney Reed on Texas’ death row. While Reed sits death row awaiting the outcome of his appeal (the Bastrop court recently denied his request for a new trial in March), this is is a rare chance for the public to see first-hand, the evidence and circumstances that surrouned his conviction and sentence. Useing first person interviews with those closest to the case (including Reed himself), as well as archival footage, official documentation, research and local-area cinematography, the Austin filmmaking team of Frank Bustoz and Ryan Polomski have captured a one-in-a-million case that will affect the way the death sentence is handled in Texas from now on — as long as the public takes notice.

Ticket information available at www.alamodrafthouse.com. Filmmakers will be in attendence and discussion will be encouraged afterwards.
