Matthew and Penelope split?
People magazine is reporting that Matthew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz “have decided to take time off as a couple.” Busy work schedules are blamed. We’re so sad that we’d like to take the rest of the afternoon off to listen to ’70s rock dirges and cry in our Shiners.

Here are a couple of other things going on:
— The Austin Film Society’s Texas Documentary Tour presents “In a Nutshell: A Portrait of Elizabeth Tashjian” at 7 p.m. June 14 at the Alamo Downtown. There’ll be a Q&A with producer-director Don Bernier after the screening.
— “Red vs. Blue: Season 4” is out on DVD.
— The new “Omen” remake is cursed with a publicity team that can’t come up with any new ideas.
