“Mr. President, you are such a man”

Here’s Fran Townsend’s resignation letter (see below). Highlight is on second page:

“In 1937, the playwright Maxwell Anderson wrote of President George Washington: There are some men who lift the age they inhabit, til all men walk on higher ground in their lifetime.”

“Mr. President, you are such a man.”

Does the date “November 2007” strike anyone else as strange?

Another one of Bush and Co’s zombie army takes a short walk off the cliff. It’s so nice of her to do so with the tilted head and glazed smile, the branded look of the unenlightened.

They’re all quite mad, aren’t they? Utterly convinced of the justness of their actions and the magnitude of their importance — incompetents one and all, the wreckage they have wrought destroying the economy, the polity, society and international relations.

And comparing Duncecap George to the first president is beyond outrage, isn’t it? Sycophants of the world, unite!

Is a Lobotomy now required before working at the White House? Comparing this abomination to George Washington. The entire White House, not just President Chucklenutz, are entirely delusional.

W thanked Fran, saying “you are more of a man than I ever will be, hon.”

Now help him with his nylons!

Although I am a 67-year-old refuge from the 60s, when we believed we could make a difference in the name of truth and justice - - and did, I enjoy regularly reading this website because it gives me hope that when you young people are in charge of this country, we might return to some semblance of sanity - that is if it is not too late! Thank you for your articles and postings that are insightful and witty. When I become discouraged with reading the poor excuses for journalism we call the national media, I come here to remind me that there are intelligent people out there that know the truth and care.
