I am afraid that the 21st century will go to the Chinese. We are falling behind in so many ways. Just look at the enormous transfer of wealth over the last couple of years.

By what about liberty?

Socialism and Capitalism are economic theories that are much more complex than the buzz words used by Republicans to rally the base.

The Rule of Law provides our freedom not Capitalism.

Liberty is the essential ingredient that conservatives like to crush.

The Iranians who rebelled against the Monarch we put in power there, we call insurgents, terrorists,etc. George Washington was an insurgent, by those standards. “Anything less than freedom is not worth living”, ray comments. George Washington owned 200 slaves, didn’t he? Any slave who tried to escape had to be given a lashing. Any white person who taught a slave to read was punished severely. And George Washington ordered a firing squad made up of their friends, for some of his soldiers who tried to go home that terrible winter because they had not been paid, had no food, shoes, etc.
France is socialist-have you been there? Seen their great infrastructure and fast train? Their roundabouts are 5 times the size of ours. And when we Americans get sick, they treat us right away with a smile. $44 was the last emergency room charge for me. Taking care of people is the Good Samaritan. Socialism sounds like that to me.

Our freedom comes from the rule of law which many don’t seem to understand or care to honor.

Jac, Sorry you feel we lost in Iraq. I don’t.

Second if not for the French comming to our aid in our split from the Brits, we’d have lost for sure.

The odds had nothing to do with winning or losing which it seems the liberals don’t understand.

It had to do with freedom. They fought and died for freedom. Something the socialists that have taken over this country don’t and won’t ever get.

The fight for freedom had no odds. It only has win at all costs, including death. Anything less than freedom is not worth living.

Something I’m sad to say the French no longer believe since they are a socialist country.

Freedom and socialism are enemies.
