Daequan will be fine in Miami. Talking about how he did in HS is irrelevant, because HS competition doesn’t even begin to approach the level of NCAA, much less NBA. Nevertheless, Daequan’s athleticism gives him an excellent chance to make things happen on the offensive end at any level, and his mentality makes him a relentless scorer. Unlike many young players, he possesses a midrange game to go along with his outside shot, and we only need to recall his dunk on Brandon Wright in Chapel Hill to know that he can definitely finish strong around the hoop. He doesn’t handle well enough to be a “combo” guard, but I don’t suspect that he will be as quick-triggered in Miami as he was when he was at OSU and looking to make immediate impact off of the bench.
I, personally Know about the capabilities of this player.
Deaquan is an explosive player. He can totally take over a game if necessary. He is a team player, and enjoys getting everybody in the game. Deaquan can put up 40 points easily if he get’s the opportunity. He sacrificed his game for ohio State. I know because he came out of the high school that I attened. after all he ld us to a state championship in 2006. That team played against greg oden in a game in indiana. Deaquan had scored 14 points before banging heads with greg giving him a concussion where he had to leave the game. He was dominating the game. It was still the first half of the game. He would have scored 35 points easily at the rate he was going. He will prove the critics wrong and show them that they have no idea what they are talking about. At Ohio state how can you expect a player to get hot being able to only take 3 to 4 shots. You can’t expect it. End of story.
