I agree that people should stop saying that steroids did all of the work but you just can’t help but feel sorry for Chris Benoit.

Benoit was an amazing wrestler and an amazing person.

I went to his last match about 3 weeks ago and…………he was full of endless energy. It did not seem like him to do any of this. He looked like such a calm person.

If he demands respect then why would he do this? There has to be someone behind the mask of the Benoit story. Someone who does not like him.

But Who?

I got a little tired of all those saying that Steroids were involved. The media says Steroids and immediately everyone jumps all over saying oh, he did Steroids, thats why he killed his family.

I say we need to wait. There is no conclusive proof that steroids played a part in this. Yes, steroids were found in the house, steroids Chris used for his neck injury, and the police have already confirmed these were given via a legal prescription, NOT from any online company.

It’s all too easy to jump all over a wrestler after he’s gone and has no way of telling why he did what he did. I for one, am going to wait for the police press conferences, and the toxicology reports before making any snap decisions as to why this tragedy happened.

A tragic and sad testament to today’s generation of “wrestlers”. With all these steroids available, its about looking more buff, more muscles and the more veins that pop all over their bodies.

The real key is probably the developmental challenges his child was facing. Despair can crack the toughest facade

Steriods are not bad. Steriod abuse is. But thats true of anything. Do you know if you eat at Burger King too much what happens?

My condolances to Benoit. I have on and off watched WWF for 35 years back to the Bruno Samartino Grand Wizard Monzoon era. I thought Benoit was one of the better techinicians in the ring. Especially the “cross face crippler” Frederick

Ok….so it seems like there may have been some kind of connection between where benoit got his steroids and Raich’s Company? Hmm…time will tell…..this could be consistent with a lot of the wierd inconsistencies we see in people who support “Chtistian” schools and organizations as a cover for making illicit profits.

If pro-wrestling is a sport, why is it not held to the same guidelines (no steriod use) as the MLB, NBA? I find it sad to see how these people are tortured to remain in the ‘sport.’ And would much rather see God-given, naturally built men and women perform their wrestling skills as opposed to these ‘tortured’ souls struggling to keep appearance, endangering their lives for the greed of sponsors and the WWF profiteering.

This whole thing is so, so sad.

Chris Benoit was a outstanding wrestler and I have watched him for years.

I am not going to judge him as a person as i did not know him, I have to wonder what could of been so bad that he would kill his own child.

I do not know what his co-workers were thinking when they recieved those text messages, but i believe after knowing what the text said, Chris was calling out for help.

I do not think the police are looking at all possible things that could of happened.

I am sad to say but this may be the beginning to the wnd od WWE.

My prayers and condolences go out to Nancy’s family and also to Benoit family.

Rest in peace Nancy,Daniel and Chris,

People who can profit by steroid use will tell you one thing.Experts and I use the term loosely, who are against steroid use many times have their own agenda to advance.Bottom line the facts are inconclusive,so who the hell really knows for sure?

And incidently, remember this. “If you walk like a duck, quack like a duck, and act like a duck…the odds are pretty damned good that you ARE a duck…”

This is just another sad example of an athlete gone crazy. You would have to be crazy to think steroids had nothing to do with this. I remember Chris 15 years ago and he was a small guy, especially by wrestling standards. Then he disappeared for a year or so. When he came back to wrestling…he was HUGE. That DOES NOT happen in such a short period of time. The wrestling industry needs to face this issue before this happens again. But in order to do that, they must first ADMIT that it is an issue…..

Ned How many other crimes of this nature happen and the authorites find no drugs are involved? Many, jumping to the conclusion that steroids made him do it, is unjustified.

it wasnt raich’s clinic but was in the same alleged network of places that were swept up. if i followed it right the place benoit got his stuff from was gettin it from the same pharmacy which also supplied raichs customers. so its mostly a no but kinda a yes.

Everyone can make comments all they want about Chris, but the fact of the matter is steroids or no steroids, no one knows exactly what happened, and to say he was a coward is wrong as well, we weren’t in his shoes, or in his head at the time he did what he did. I lived personally with someone for two years that committed suicide, they can hide their troubles pretty damn well, and you may never see the signs or symptoms. Before pointing the finger and anyone, stop and put yourself in their shoes or place before you starting making comments.

You think roids played a part. Wake-up. What they need to do is investigate that bottom dweller who runs wwe. He is getting very rich while several wreslers have died in the past mostly from roid use. All wrestling is now is big muscles and fake breasts you can see that in Venice Beach Cal and see it for free

Its obvious Chris had a mental condition. I think it’s terrible what happened, but you can’t help but think the possible combination of steroids and pain killers influenced his actions. I don’t think we will ever find out why exactly he did what he did. But, I do see other incidents where people have done terrible acts like Chris and no drugs were involved. This is a tough one, but as Americans we want closure, a reason why this happened, and it appears steroids is going to be the scapegoat.

Just another example of the fame and fortune killing field. Like the post’s story of the kid who’s rich father financed his monster truck, they’re all looking to bring attention to themselves because of the low self esteem they feel inside. The mental illness in this country is at an all time high.

I DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH OF ROID RAGE WAS INVOLVED JUST BECAUSE I HEARD THAT HE TOOK THE TIME TO TIE UP HIS WIFE AND SUFFOCATE HIS SON.ALSO HE PLACED A BIBLE BY EACH ONE,THAT SOUNDS LIKE IT WAS A THOUGHT OUT PLAN IF YOUR IN A RAGE YOUR NOT GOING TO SPEND THE TIME TO DO THIS.I ALWAYS LIKED CHRIS BUT NOT ANYMORE WHAT A COWARD TO KILL A 7YR OLD BOY AND HIS MOTHER.HE SHOULD HAVE JUST KILLED HIMSELF.

Hulk Hogan should come forward and be honest. By the look of him on his show he’s still using hgh and steroids. He obviously has the money to monitor his health but what about the wrestlers use the steroids and don’t get proper medical care? Hogan needs to expose wrestling once and for all and be honest about the drug abuse that has been going on for at least three decades. Vince Mcmahon is a joke. He could care less about the wrestlers. Its pathetic when he says so and so passed their steroid test. How did he get off so easy when he faced steroid charges years ago?
