I’ve only been in Boynton for about 5 years and I’m still upset about paying $1600.00 in taxes when my neighbor just on the other side of the fench pays $900.00. Something for sure is wrong with that picture. The CRA should think about the same people they stepped on going up the ladder will be the same ones they see going down. What goes up, must come down.

I have been in business here in Boynton for over 15 years. THE CRA was the biggest Boondoggle that has hit this town in a long time. I am glad they are gone. did they not claim last night that they are making $$$ for the city by buying that gas station for $3m??? If these guys ran a real business they would bankrupt the same in a short period of time. The gas station loses big money…we pay salaries to man the same & pump 15,000 gallons of gas /per year. No profit there, as servicing a $3m debt/loss of income on $3m makes this another financial fiasco for this city.

Imagine this, 3 yrs ago I tryed to go thru the CRA to get into a first time home buyers loan program “SHIP” they found everyway to not give it to me but I am sure their friends and family got the government loans to buy homes, It’s all in who you know there, They take care of thier own. Wonder how many others like me where jacked around and lost money in hopes of owning a home in Boynton. Boynton better get a clue…

Kick backs in Palm Beach County? Who’d of thunk it?

I mean….can it be any other way!

EVERY PERSON CONNECTED TO PUBLIC MONEY IN THIS COUNTY APPEARS WITHOUT A DOUBT TO BE ON THE TAKE AND ONLY FOR THEMSELVES.

The CRA has done a great job for the City of Boynton Beach, however, there is the question of accountability and the use of taxpayer’s dollar for personal gain such as the used of Limousine for $150.00, drinks and meetings pass 9:00 pm at expensive restaurants. The board members that incurred those costs are responsible for paying it back without questions. The Commission appointed them and the Commission can removed them. Perhaps, this action will show future board members not to abuse that power granted by the Commissioners. They have to be accountable to the Boynton Beach Commissioners and to the citizens it served for every dollar spent.

As long as the masses don’t care what’s going on, clowns like our current commissioners, who rarely bother to even pretend they care about the residents of the city, will keep getting re-elected with 70% of the vote.

My wish would be for every voter in Boynton to attend at least one commission meeting and see what really goes on. We’d get some new faces in office as soon as the next election rolled around.

In the meantime, get ready for tens of millions of tax dollars to line Intown’s pockets and a bunch of run-down lots to be replaced with empty condos that will remain vacant for years.

The CRA has done a great job for the City of Boynton Beach. However, there is the question of accountability and the use of taxpayer’s dollar for personal gain such as the used of Limousine for $150.00, drinks and meetings pass 9:00 pm at expensive restaurants. The board members that incurred those costs are responsible for paying it back without a doubt. They buy a single family residence for $850,000.00 and then $75,000 to change the zoning to commercial. Furthermore, the CRA behavior was not professional for not returning commissioners questions or emails for that matter. The Commission appointed them and the Commission can removed them. Perhaps, this action will show future board members not to abuse that power granted by the Commissioners, that they have to respect and be accountable to the Boynton Beach Commissioners for every dollar they spend. I wonder if the single family residence they purchase was owned by a friend of any of the CRA member

Although the majority of the citizens present at the Commission meeting were in support of the CRA, it is best that we all as Boynton Beach citizens move forward, put aside our differences and give a sincere effort working together striving to make Boynton Beach the “All American City” we all know it can be. Going back and forth about last night’s meeting will only compromise reaching that goal thus penalizing the city and its citizens. As a former CRA Board member, lifelong citizen, active voter, and taxpayer my request is that we get behind the commission in their efforts to produce results the majority of the commission felt the CRA could not produce but at the same time voting citizens holding the entire commission more accountabile for every decision and action taken from this point forward relevant to all city affairs but especially where it involves redevelopment. Respecting differences, working together, listening to everyone and creating one powerful voice and mission for this city should and must be our immediate priority.

No doubt that the CRA and Commission can’t get along. However, you really have to wonder about the timing of this. Next month the massive Intown deal comes up for Commission review and the CRA has been the ONLY voice of reason trying to stop this incredible waste of $90 MILLION tax dollars. It will be VERY INTERESTING to see if the Commission now jams this turkey through! If they approve INTOWN, the next Post headline will read “Citizens Disband Boynton Commission”!

Boynton is a mess! It is caused from the city commissioners…for anyone who has been to a meeting the unprofessionalism is so apparent, their disorganization jumps out at you. Look at how far the cities around Boynton have progressed and then look at Boynton. It cannot control the crimes and gangs, the development has clogged up the roads. It is a bad place to work and live…it is sad but I blame the city commissioners who set a very bad example and have NO experience on how to direct a city or its leaders.
