Those “donations” to the horse show also give a “table for ten” at the dinner. Do you think the council members ever offer up those seats to any of the village residents? No, they hog it for themselves!
The village needs to cut some of the leisure programs and have residents ante up more cash to help fund some of the programs.
I would hate to see budget cuts eliminating support/sponsorship of the National Horse Shoe given that the Village has come out in support by Resolution of Equine Events and keeping the horse shows in the Village. Contradictions….?

Yea, I agree with the poster. If Paul Schofield can’t handle his responsibilities and a new position with higher pay had to be created. Time to look for another Director.
What’s with Margolis creating a hostile working environment? Seems that things were working well financially, before Margolis stuck HIS nose into “assessing” the way things work in the village.
Hey, Bob: Stick to your day job. Don’t try to RUN the whole village.
Hopefully this will be a wake-up call to Village Manager Charlie (I-Never-Met-A-Consultant-I-Didn’t-Want-To-Pay)Lynn and to the Village Council of Big Spenders. The Village is top-heavy with administrators - for example, do we really need a Deputy Director of Community Services? What functions does John Bonde fill that Paul Schofield couldn’t handle himself? The Village isn’t that large. A careful review of the “fat” in the budget would result in large savings of our tax dollars.
