The Summer TV Press Tour: The Scoop! The Gossip! The Parties!

This here blog is gonna be real short 'cause this here bleary-eyed TV critic is really tired after flying to Tampa and to Texas and finally to La-La-Land (that's sunny-fied California for those not in-the-know) for the glitzy, 18-day dog-and-pony show known as the Summer TV Press Tour.

It's that time of year where a bunch of spin-doctoring network execs tell us jaded TV critics just how wonderful their new shows are going to be this fall and why we should care that Ted Danson is starring in yet another sitcom. It's also the time of year where TV writers get the inside scoop on the new season by schmoozing with stars over yummy finger food, free booze and really loud music that makes it nearly impossible to conduct interviews.

So, if ya love TV -- and hot industry gossip -- as much as I do, keep reading my blog the next 15 days. I'll be at all the parties and all the press conferences (well, most of 'em). You'll hear what I hear. I won't let you down. I promise.
