I'm still cringing at tonights theme. There are only two idol hopefuls with good voices, Katherine and Paris, that will benefit from the education, personally, I'm hitting the MUTE when Pickler comes on, I just can't take it anymore.

The judges for once were totally correct. Kat was just OK (but she certainly is beautiful.) Kellie is downright embarrassing. Taylor is a lounge singer, that's all. Trying to sound like Gladys Knight does Paris a disservice. (If they re-make "The Wiz" that's where she belongs.) Chris sounded a little flat to me - he's better at rock. Elliot - what a voice - he outsang them all and moved me to tears too.

Maybe its because i was watching the show with two other black professional singers. But Paris did not oversing the song. in fact she intentionally undersang. Her classic take on the song with that hint of Paris jazz with Ella and Sarah seasoning was perfect and fabulous. Yes, we were on our feet at the end of her performance and yes, we watched her song six times.
Elliot also sang the hell out of that song! Pickler was horrible, and that Something about Mary hairdo had to go. Taylor, God love him, sounded like he just came from a holiday inn in parsippany, and Kat was so outclassed by the song she chose. (lets face it, when you chose "I have Nothing" you better BRING it!)

I thought Kat was wonderful, better than Houston who SCREAMS everything. She nailed it.

Kellie, I know I said I'd hit mute but I didn't...and wished I did.

Didn't care for Elliott until I heard it on the radio this morning, yep he was good.

Taylor, yes lounge lizard material.

Chris, boring, dull, angry, it's a LOVE song for Pete's sake.

Paris was OK, but people just don't care for her so she will probably be voted off tonight.

It should be Kellie.

Elliott and Kat should be the top 2.

Tony, of course, was right about Paris from the beginning (back when I still wanted to slip sedatives into her Red Bull or whatever it was she was hopped up on). I can't imagine a worse song choice for a 17 but she sang the heck out of it. (Was anyone else flashing on the birthday party scene from "Fame?" Just me? Okay, never mind.)

Wow. I thought for sure an entertainment media pro ike you would see clearly that Chris is far and away the most over talented guy on the show, and its his contest to win.

WHile Elliot may had a pretty voice, and Paris sings far bayond her age, they dont have anywhere close to the overall Idol package. Elliot looks like he should be in some field involving white lab coats.

I do agree with you about the blond chick. That downhome 'HeeHaw' act was cute for about 5 seconds.

When it comes to star potential, the whole package, Chris will have a future, even if the voters dont agree. Kat is simply so gorgeous, she wouldnt even have to be able to sing to make it somewhere. Either way, Chris is bald head and shoulders above the rest of the group as a true American Idol.

Chris is in NO WAY the most talented. In the grand world of rock, he's just average. He shows zero talent outside of rock.

Katharine, Elliot and Paris are the most talented, Kat can sing, really really sing, as can Elliott I just don't care for jazz. I feel that the top 2 finalist shall be Elliott and Katharine based on talent, not looks, Chris will drop at 4 or 3. Paris or Taylor will be gone next week, Taylor for lack of talent, Paris because people just "don't like her".
