Online ads: Realtors’ revenge?
For the past two years, Realtors have complained about what they view as the media’s relentlessly negative coverage of the housing market. In a separate trend, Realtors increasingly are moving their ads online, a shift that’s primarily a dollars-and-cents decision but probably offers a measure of satisfaction, too.
Alex Perriello, president and CEO of Realogy Franchise Group, sums up Realtors’ feelings about newspaper ads: “In our opinion, newspaper classified advertising for open houses is too expensive and grossly ineffective as a marketing tool.”
Realogy, the nation’s largest broker, said yesterday that it now offers free open house listings on its OpenHouse.com site to any broker who cares to post them. Before, OpenHouse.com had been open only to Century 21, Coldwell Banker, ERA and Sotheby’s International Realty.

Christian Science.
That’s a good one.
Christian Scientists are the wise folks that allow their children to die if they get seriously ill. You see, doctors are strictly and absolutely forbidden, as “Christian Science” assures that Christ is the only true healer.
The last time you heard from Curious, he was advising you to sell your house, because he is so certain you will be able to sell your house and buy it back for less, including 2-way closing costs, in a few years. I have no doubt he will guarantee to indemnify everyone who tries this for any possible losses.
Curious is not just a nut, he/she is a dangerous nut, and we all need to remember that when we accidentally read even a word of his lunatic ravings. God forbid, even one word could be contagious.

Talk about killing the messenger. The press is in no way responsible for this mess. Prices will and should fall until median prices align with median incomes. Remember the 2.5 to 3 times income rule? That would put median price in around 150K-180K. Time to get real, folks.
