Plasmid! Sorry gang, nobody had 100 percent on the Siemens Scholars Back-to-School Science Quiz. Tracey, great try. Nitrogen is actually the most abundant gas in our atmosphere. And when it comes to converting potential energy into action, the process is called respiration. (Despite the name, it takes place cell mitochondria, not lungs.)

And Dean, I agree with you. The better way to have stated No. 6 would be: “The process in the body where potential energy of fuel (food)molecules is transformed into usable energy is called?”
