Patience is NOT my middle name…..
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
…as anyone who knows me well can tell you. I (usually, sometimes) can be appropriately patient in most situations, except in dealing with myself. This characteristic has served me well at times, but usually has caused unreasonable intolerance of my shortcomings.
What I am learning now is “Falling is Not Failing”. Thank you, Kathy, for that absolutely invaluable gem of wisdom! It has helped so much!
I know it has only been one month and I have lost a total of 10.5 pounds, but I really expected to be feeling better by now. You know, more energy, glowing skin, fewer food cravings. How long does it take for all this good stuff I am doing to kick in?
January has been a great month in many ways…beginning a new path to a healthy lifestyle, wonderful encouragement from family, friends and complete strangers. Thanks to you all. Wendy, the smoothies have really helped!
January also brought the devastating loss of my dear friend of 32 years, Robby Batson. We grew up together in the restaurant business and shared so much. “I miss you”.
With that, I think I will head back to the park to enjoy this beautiful day.
