Taking some “off” days…

Week III was a harder week.
I took an “off” on Monday after a pretty high volume weekend and consumed about 400 calories more than I burnt — which is very typical for an “off” day. The body is rebuilding and it needs some fuel. I had a 6000 calorie deficit from Tues to Fri — run, weights, a long midweek bike, swim but Saturday and Sunday were both “off” days as I went away NC to spend a weekend with my wife’s co-workers and their spouses.
Fortunately, everyone there was counting calories and we served up wholesome and healthy meals with very few between meal snacks and the snacks that were served were vegetable plates, mixed fruit etc. Over the weekend I did not exercise, but I only consumed about 1000 calories more than I burnt which is pretty good for a weekend away with friends. Weekly totals — about 9 hours training time (pretty light) with 3 off days and weekly calorie total of a deficit of about 5,000 calories. From a start of 220 lbs, the scales today show 215 despite the weekend away.
