Vick needs to be allowed to change the play at the line of scrimmage. If he can not do that, what business does he have making 100 million as an NFL starteing QB? I believe he can do it. Or is it Gregg “Krapp” telling him not to? That and this gimmicky cut-blocking, no pass-protection o-line has got to go. After all the talk about how fragile this man is, why are we hell bent on NOT protecting him? We made this same mistake with his predecessors. How many times did Chris “Chandlier” go down? Chris “Concussion” Miller? Jeff George? Billy Jo Herbert? How many times did the F.O. attempt to improve the o-line? It’s past ridiculous man. Plus I am starting to believe the someone is paying the rcvrs to purposely drop passes. It makes NO sense for them to drop that many and that disease of the dropsies must have caught up with Crump cause now he can’t catch. Yes Vick needs to improve his accuracy pronto, but would it make a difference if he did? Those lame rcvrs have BEEN dropping ones right in their hand already so what makes anyone think that if EVERY last pass was on target thing will change? Vick accuracy issues have nothing to do with Roddy “Ten Fingers of Death” White or Michael “Hot Potato” Jenkins dropping passes. And as far as this staff, why in the @#$% isn’t Lelie starting? Typical of this brain-dead staff. Your offense is ranked # 32 (as in DEAD #$%^ last) and you don’t want to start Lelie because he may not be here NEXT year. Well I got news for you buddy, if this losing keeps up none of you may be here either. Better start worrying about THIS season, before you plan for the next. Remember “THERE IS NO TOMMORROW!!”

A qb with M.Vs ratings will be criticized.Now the situation with D.Mcnabb two years ago was differant D.Mc.is one of the top qbs in the game.Best t.d. to interception ratio of all active qbs, second to Vick in rushing by qb and yet he was denigrated as inferior.Sadly by many blacks this seemed like racism to me.If M.V. wants to separate honest appraisal from bigotry here are some suggestions.throw accurately ,pick up secondary receivers,and throw the ball away to reduce sacks.

Andy Reid is a passing coach Greg Knapp you tell me . I go to the game every when they play at home I see the game with my own eye. Getting sacked 7 time drop passing. Name a new play that Greg Knapp run in each game.I played the game Greg Knapp and this scheme is a big problem. It look like the coaches are trying to lose. Last we they let manning pass at will in the second half . That not coaching. Mora is a smoke blower. If they can do better prove it by new plays called People see the plays. If he did some thing different it would fool the world. Have Norwood and Dunn line up on both sides of Vick in pass plays one to block if needed and one to pass to. Get Georgia Tech old coach who is at Maryland now and pay him Vick would be a Killer. Send Greg Knapp to NFL Europe.The passing most of the time has to be two second or less because of our offense line! We Know Good coaching when we see it And we are not getting day in and day out, no standards!

Michael Vick has opened the door for black mobile quarterbacks. For years white coaches has moved black quarterbacks which 95% of them are mobile like Brad Smith, Antwan Randal El, Cedric Wilson, Reggie Brown, Burt Emanual, Deion Sanders, Jerry Porter, Champ Bailey, Hines Ward, Doug Gabriel and others to running back, wide receiver, or defensive back coming out of high school or college. On the other hand all the white quarterbacks for the exception of Matt Jones and Drew Bennett are kept at quarterback no matter how mobile or imobile they are, and most of the time they are not as mobile as black quaterbacks. White coaches even tried back in the day to move hall of famer Warren Moon to defensive back. These white people are giving the same bulls* answers they did back in the 60’s and 70’s that black quarterbacks such as Vick are great athletes and below average quarterbacks who are not smart enough to grasp the offense and their survices should be used elsewhere on the field such as running back, slot receiver, defensive back, the same suggestions these racist Vick bashers in 2006 are saying Vick should be move to. What the problem is that qaurterback is the only high praise position in football where white athletes out number black athletes and they are afraid of the black mobile quarterback taking over and changing the NFL so they change them and put them in other positions to keep the black quarterback at a minimum. It doesn’t matter though because the door has already opened by Vick and the black mobile quarterbacks such as Michael Vick, Vince Young, D.J. Shockley, Schaffer from Ole Miss, Troy Smith from Ohio State, the QB from Vandy, I didn’t say McNabb cause he’s a Uncle Tom, are going to take over the NFL and it is going to stay that way because black quarterbacks are not going to move positions anymore. BLACK POWER! Atlanta a CHOCOLATE CITY 65% BLACK, WHITE PEOPLE, Vick isn’t going anywhere, he’s staying in this Chocolate City. HOLLA!

Remember when Vick was the Michael Jordan of football, the prototype of a new generation of quarterbacks, the most exciting player in the game? All of this was based on his feet, never his arm. Fans became delusionary thinking Vick would bring them multiple super bowls. Vick the hightest paid quarterback ever,the mesiah of football right here in Atlanta. So much attention, we didn’t know what to do with it. Look at us, look at us! We have Vick, you don’t! All the hightlight reels were Vick making something of broken plays, never his leadership or arm. Six years later and the star is fading fast and the owner is stuck with 130 million mistake. I would be funny if it wasn’t so sad, and I’m a fan. Schaub should get the call but the white boy won’t and you can guess why.

J. Philippe Rushton. Rushton is a professor of psychology at the University of Western Ontario in Canada and is the author of Race, Evolution, and Behavior and more than 200 scientific articles.

Yes: Such differences are real and demonstrated by growing scientific evidence.

For the past 20 years my research has focused on differences between the three major races, commonly termed Orientals (East Asians, Mongoloids), whites (Europeans, Caucasoids), and Blacks (Africans, Negroids). Roughly speaking, Orientals are those who have most of their ancestors from East Asia. Whites have most of their ancestors from Europe. And blacks have most of their ancestors from sub-Saharan Africa. In the main,I have not addressed the many other groups and sub-groups.

What I’ve found is that in brain size, intelligence, temperament, sexual behavior, fertility, growth rate, life span, crime, and family stability, Orientals fall at one end of the spectrum, blacks fall at the other end and whites fall in between. On average, Orientals are slower to mature, less fertile, and less sexually active, and have larger brains and higher IQ scores. Blacks are at the opposite end in each of these areas. Whites fall in the middle, often close to Orientals.

Of course, these three-way racial differences are averages. Individuals are individuals. However, I’ve found that this three-way pattern is true over time and across nations. That the same three-way racial pattern occurs repeatedly on some 60 different biological and behavioral variables is profoundly interesting and shows that race is more than “just skin deep.” The international data come from the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and Interpol. Recently, I even traveled to South Africa to collect new IQ data.

Let’s start with the biological differences in sports, which is something almost everyone observes. Jon Entine’s recent book Taboo: Why Black Athletes Dominate Sports and Why We Are Afraid to Talk About It, addresses the old cliché that “white men can’t jump” (and the new one that Oriental men jump even less well). Entine shows that in sports, Black men and women have a genetic advantage. Compared to Whites, Blacks have narrower hips, wider shoulders, less body fat, and more muscle.

Blacks also have from 3 to 19% more of the sex hormone testosterone than whites or Orientals. This translates into more explosive energy, which gives Blacks the edge in sports like boxing, basketball, football, and sprinting.

Why is it taboo to say that Blacks are on average better at sports? Because the next question is, “Why do Whites and East Asians have wider hips than Blacks, and so make poorer runners?” The answer is that they give birth to larger brained babies. During evolution, as the head size of newborns increased, women had to have a wider pelvis. The hormones that give Blacks the edge in sports also make them more masculine in general. They are physically more active in school, and this can get them into trouble and even lead to their being diagnosed as hyperactive.

Race differences show up early in life. Black babies are born a week earlier than White babies, yet they mature faster as measured by bone development. By age five or six, Black children excel in the dash, the long jump, and the high jump, all of which require a short burst of power. By the teenage years, Blacks have faster reflexes, as in the famous knee-jerk response.

The biological factors underlying race differences in sports have consequences for educational achievement, crime and sexual behavior. In educational achievement and occupational success, Orientals average slightly ahead of Whites, who average substantially ahead of Blacks. On standardized IQ tests, hundreds of studies show this three-way pattern. Most IQ tests have an average score of 100, with a “normal” range from 85 to 115. Whites average from 100 to 103. Orientals in Asia and the U.S. tend to have higher scores, about 106, even though IQ tests were made for the Euro-American culture. Blacks in the U.S., the Caribbean, Britain and Africa average lower IQs-about 85. The lowest average IQs are found for sub-Saharan Africans-from 70 to 75.

The relation between brain size and intelligence has been shown by dozens of studies, including state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging. Orientals average 1 cubic inch more brain matter than Whites, and Whites average a very large 5 cubic inches more than Blacks. Since one cubic inch of brain matter contains millions of brain cells and hundreds of millions of nerve connections, brain size differences help to explain why the races differ in IQ.

Racial differences in brain size show up early in life as well. The U.S. Collaborative Perinatal Project followed more than 50,000 children from birth to seven years. In the 1997 issue of the journal Intelligence, I showed that these Orientals had larger brains than Whites at birth, four months, one year, and seven years; the Whites had larger brains than Blacks at all ages. In the United States, Orientals are seen as a “model minority.” They have fewer divorces, out-of-wedlock births, and fewer reports of child abuse than Whites. More Orientals graduate from college and fewer go to prison. Blacks, on the other hand, are 12% of the American population but make up 50% of the prison population.

The racial pattern of crime in the U.S. is not due to local conditions like “white racism.” The same pattern is found worldwide. Interpol Yearbooks show the rate of violent crime (murder, rape, and serious assault) is three times lower in East Asian and Pacific Rim countries than in African and Caribbean countries. Whites in European countries are intermediate. The 1996 Interpol violent crime rates were: East Asian countries, 35 per 100,000 people; European countries, 42; and African and Caribbean countries, 149.

Orientals are the least sexually active, whether measured by age of first intercourse, intercourse frequency, or number of sexual partners. Blacks are the most active on all of these. Once again Whites fall in between. These differences in sexual activity affect the rate of sexually transmitted diseases. In the United States today, 2% of blacks between ages 15 and 49 are living with HIV/AIDS as opposed to 0.4 percent of whites and .05 percent of Asians, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Other data make it plain that the race differences in sexuality are biological in nature. For example, the races also differ in rate of ovulation. Not all women produce one egg during the menstrual cycle. When two or more eggs are produced at the same time, pregnancy and the likelihood of producing two-egg twins are more likely. The number of twins born is 16 out of every 1,000 births for blacks, 8 out of every 1,000 births for whites, and 4 or less for Orientals.

Why do whites fall between Orientals and blacks in so many areas? No purely cultural theory can explain this consistent pattern. Genetic and evolutionary theories are required. Genes play a big part in athletic ability, brain size, IQ, and personality. Trans-racial adoption studies, where infants of one race are adopted and reared by parents of a different race, provide some of the strongest evidence. Oriental children, even if malnourished before being adopted by white parents, go on to have IQs above the white average. Black infants adopted into middle-class white families end up with IQs lower than the white average.

These racial patterns make up what is called a “life-history” or “reproductive strategy.” The traits evolved together to meet the trials of life-survival, growth, and reproduction. Race differences make sense in terms of human evolution. Modern humans evolved in Africa about 200,000 years ago. Africans and non-Africans then split about 110,000 years ago. Orientals and Whites split about 40,000 years ago.

The further north people went “Out of Africa,” the more evolution selected for larger brains, slower growth rates, greater longevity, lower hormone levels, less sexual potency, less aggression, and less impulsivity. Advanced planning, self-control, and rule-following are cultural manifestations of these gene-based evolutionary strategies. Surviving in cold environments required increased intelligence and larger brains. The wider hips of white and Asian women evolved to allow them to give birth to larger brained babies.

What are the implications of this research? One is that we should stop blaming white racism for all society’s problems. If blacks are good at certain sports, and Orientals do well in schools, it cannot be because each group is trying to “overcome the prejudice of white society,” because each group shows the same pattern of strengths and weaknesses in their countries of origin.

Sometimes it is claimed by those who argue that race is just a social construct that the human genome project shows that because people share roughly 99% of their genes in common, that there are no races. This is silly. Human genes are 98% similar to chimpanzee genes and 90% similar to those in mice, which is why these species make good laboratory animals. But no one claims that mice, chimpanzees, and humans are nearly the same! That would be laughable. Similarly, although men and women are genetically 99% the same, it is foolish to believe that sex is just a “social construction.”

Much confusion arises because there are several sets of genetic measures. A much more realistic story comes from looking at the 3.1 billion base pairs that make up the 30,000 genes.

People differ in 1 out of every 1,000 of these base pairs. Each change in a base pair can alter a gene. Technically, base pair differences are called single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). The 99% figure is based on DNA sequences which do not differ between people or even most mammals. These can give the impression that human groups and chimpanzees are almost identical because these genes code for similar internal organs, eyes, hands, and so on. Though humans and mice look very different, any anatomy student can tell you, even their internal bone structures are very similar.

The February 23, issue of Science magazine reported that 2.8 million SNPs were already being sold by Celera Genomics to scientists trying to crack the code of human behavior. Base pair differences are important and SNPs clump together in races. Just one change in the base pair for hemoglobin, for example, causes sickle-cell anemia, from which many Blacks suffer. Other base pair differences affect IQ, aggression, and mental illness. The 3.1 billion base pairs provide plenty of room for large racial differences.

If races did not exist, we would not find the same racial pattern all around the world and over time. The scientific evidence shows that the politically correct mantra “race is just skin deep” is a case of deep denial.

this is to response to the vent king about his thought that greg knapp do not allow mike to audible at the line. there must be some thing that the coaching staff know that we do not know. could it be that vick is not very good at reading defenses? how many times did we saw vick threw the ball into places that he absolutely have no bussiness throwing it to? vick is too busy looking at the defense to see where there maybe a crease in which he can run NOT what they are going to do. there must be alot of short coming in vick passing ability for the coaches to game plan the way they do. these coaches saw what they can and can’t not do with vick. much to our dismay, these coaches are not idiots. they know that they cannot make vick read defenses and throw like the paytons. vick can talk all he wants about being in the class with the like of brady, mcnabb, or paytons but until he does the things that prove that he is, vick will always be regarded as a running back who days are number because he insist that he IS a quarter back.

Whatever Vick’s talents are, they will not manifest themselves while he is lying on his back under nine hundred pounds of defensive players.

The offensive scheme doesn’t work - and it apparently won’t work; neither will this new batch of receivers brought in.

Perhaps Mr. Home Depot should go to NFL Depot and find some replacement parts for this broken machine. And as everyone will agree, this machine is broke.

The Falcons are going to beat the Steelers this weekend. The Steelers are a weak team and the Falcons will expose all those weaknesses. The last time these two teams faced off it was one of the best regular season games I have ever seen, this time around it should be equally as entertaining.

I have a feeling that MV will be passing and passing often during this game. Knapp may be a bad offensive coordinator but he knows his job is on the line and if MV wants to open up the passing attack then it will happen. MV is a good QB, he just needs a little help…i.e. a few more seconds of blocking from the o-line, a receiver that will catch the ball and most importantly a coach that will let him pass the damn ball.

The Falcons are the best team in the NFC, they just have to regain the confidence they had at the beginning of the season. It will happen tomorrow when they beat down the Steelers. Go Falcons!!!

I attended K-10 in the Berkeley-Richmond area of California which is populated with nearly every race under the sun, and I can attest to the validity of the very insightful read posted above.

The asians were the smartest and the blacks had the most developed chests. It was plain to see. It is what it is.

Gawd, I hope the Falcons get their act together, though the DL injuries might blow this season apart come Monday, if the offense can’t pick it up a great deal, especially the downfield passing game.

Whether you want to believe it or not, I’m not disagreeing with you. I’m not a homer(okay, a little) and as much as I like Vick, I have considered that a possibility. That is not out of the realm of possibilities. The only thing about that is, why would anybody pay that much money to an NFL qb if he can’t audible out of a blitz or make pre-snap reads? Why would they pay a STARTING qb that kind of money if he can’t do what EVERY other qb is required to do and call themselves wanting to win a SB? Either they are lying about wanting to win or thought they could overcome that. Maybe they saw it when he 1st got there and thought they could teach it to him or something, and are just now realizing they can’t. Or they never peeped that out. Or Knapp is simply not allowing him to audible, because that’s HIS belief that Vick is dumb and don’t trust the games or rather HIS job to Vick(which would explain Vick’s HBO interview comments- “…they are going to have to learn to trust me, Dan Reeves did.). They are ALL possibilities. People just want to make it out FIRST and foremost that Vick can’t read defenses cause he’s not bright and he can’t do it and I’m not going to put that out there in my post because that’s the ONLY possibility most people want to focus on, that’s it. I’ll let you and whoever want to go there to do that, but just because I didn’t mention that doesn’t mean I don’t believe that could be it. Out of all the options I don’t believe that. He maybe can’t control that rocket arm of his enough, but he has to be able to make reads. Enough people are going to bring that to the arguement anyway, so they don’t need my help. Whatever it is, somebody goofed. I believe it’s the play-caller, but whatever it is something about that audible situation is NOT right. You can believe that is that option if you want, but I do not believe that many people would put a guy who can’t read defenses as not only the quarterback, but the face of the franchise in a position where lack of intelligence would be so easily visible (I could be wrong). You could maybe get away with that at other positions , but not qb. That would take more than for Vick to be at fault, that would require Blank (millionaire CEO), McKay (Superbowl winning GM), Mora(Pro coach for a dad and a guy involved in football his whole life), and Knapp(I for some reason from witnessing his play-calling pick THIS option) to ALL be dumb. Even Musgrave can be thrown in there. Somebody @#$%ed up, but none of us KNOW which option is correct. You believe what you do and I choose another option. I’ll tell you this, if Vick had this problem at Va Tech and/or when Reeves was here, or had not guided this team to one win shy of a Superbowl appearance I would probably agree with you. But, you don’t do that or be given an oppurtunity to do that if you can’t read defenses. That’s like the most important part of a QB’s job. Would you hire an engineer who couldn’t read a schematic and make him THE highest paid guy at your company? A pilot that is near-sighted? A t.v. analyst who studders? I just can’t believe Blank and co. are THAT stupid. If they did know that about Vick(not saying it is true), then they ARE stupid as a coaching staffand F.O. So if people want to believe that Vick can’t do that, then they should mention in the same breathe that Blank and that coaching staff are dumb too for signing him to a 130 million and thinking Vick’s atheleticism would override that issue. Everybody in the NFL KNOWS you are not going to win consistently if your qb can’t read defenses, so if they hired Vick and signed him to all that money then they are indeed stupid too. They are at fault because they hired him. One can NOT go without the other. And again, these thoughts are NOT directed as a personal attack at you kent. Just a discussion. Hopefully in the end though, THEY’LL figure it out and we all go home happy. GO FALCONS!!

Micheal vick can pass as good as most of the top qb’s. Ive watch all the falcons’ games. Most of the time the balls in a place were the receiver can catch it if he want to. If you add the totals of the all the dropped passes that should have been caught micheal would be in the top five no doubt. Theres nothing wrong with mikes ability to read or pass. LET THE MAN CHECK OFF. RAY CHARLES CAN SEE SOME OF THE BLITZES AND COVERPACKAGES BEFORE HAND AND MIKE IS DOOMED TO FOLLOW THE PRESET SCRIPT AT THAT POINT. Ray Charles can also see that the Bulldogs defensive coordinator sucks and mark is content with just being good instead of great. How disguisting!
