Just like football

That was the chant from the UGA students tonight at the Steg as the struggling Bulldogs pulled out a tough win over the Jackets.

I don’t have the record book handy, but they said on the Bulldog Radio Network broadcast that Tech is 0-12 in Athens since 1976.

Dennis Felton may have trouble holding on to his players, but at least the Dawgs’ mastery over the Jackets at Stegeman Coliseum still holds.

Well done!

How bad is Tech to keep losing like this? Recruits falling left and right in football, mediocre seasons piling up, and they can’t even handle a Georgia basketball team that’s lost three players since the start of the season? Amazing.

Congrats to the Dawg nation, way to discover you have a basketball team tonight. Congrats again UGA state champs of the most sorry D1 teams in the nation. I’m sure all you dawg fans can’t wait for selection sunday in march. Kick one more player off your team, so when i get out of prison, I can come play for the state champs of georgia. What pride, tradition, great student athletes . Must be proud. Great Job, Go Dawgs and take falcons with you.

P.S. Michigan thought they had an easy first game too last year against a 1AA school. Here’s to watching UGA blow the 2008 BCS next year.

I tried to tell the herders that they needed to keep Gailey and let him coach round ball and get rid of Hewitt who is the biggest embarrassment to the Institute’s so called “tradition” of mediocrity. Maybe the Jaller Yackits were trying to memorize calculus equations during the game and lost their concentration and of course I’m absolutely sure that the cheatin, crooked, biased officials stole the game from the academic icons from North Avenue, to say nothing of the biased, negative newspaper articles in the AJC that contributed to another ill gotten victory for UGA. Oh well, such is life when the entire world of college athletics and print journalism conspire to keep down the righteous and ordained Techwood Train Drivers. Great win for a short handed UGA squad over another poorly coached ond over hyped nerd herd team.

I like that Mr. Rodgers writes at a 7th grade level. Let me help you:

“Know” means “to have knowledge of.”

“No” means “negative” or “not”. Therefore, you would say “we all ‘know’ you are stupid” as opposed to using “no” incorrectly.

Also “your” is a possessive pronoun. That is different from “you’re” which is a contraction for “you are.” Please keep that in mind when saying things like “you’re probably a legacy.”

If every UGA alum will adopt a Tech fan/alum, the grammar and word usage in this state will become much stronger.

Oh and by the way…The hell with Georgia Tech!

I sure do hope GT has a good women’s field hockey team. It doesn’t look like they are going to beat UGA in a sport of any consequence.

Take all the shots you want to about our three players off the team. How bad does that make the Techies? You have all of your players and you still got beat by a team you consider to be beneath you. All hail the Dawgs!

Bill, 25 post and this thing is already half way down the hill. Angry Tech fans and laughing UGA fans. How about another topic? Like the early enrollees for football. I think we all know how the “wait till baseball” thing will turn out. Go dawgs!

By Bill King

My name is Bill King. I got this goofy looking UGA shirt at Wal-Mart. It wasn’t even on sale!

I’m a huge DAWG basketball fan. After all, nothing says “Go You Hairy Dawgs” and “Helen,Ga is a great place for a fancy honeymoon” like a UGA fan who couldn’t name a single player on the basketball team, but is suddenly a huge fan because we beat Tech.

Hyuck hyuck, I’m not ever sure where we play our home games. Is Jim Harrick still the coach?

Yours,

Bill

What’s that, Voltard? Hard to hear you, being ranked 10 spots below UGA and all. Anyway, congrats on not embarrassing the SEC in your bowl game, for once. Hopefully you’ll continue that streak next year in Shreveport, shortly before UGA plays for the national title.

January 10, 2008 6:01 PM | Link to this

Still hard to hear you laughing, way down at #12. I don’t have to “wait ‘till next year”, being ranked #2 (and likely #1 preseason) is good enough for now.

in the game of life, Tech wins hands down.

LOL, keep telling yourself that, if it makes you feel better about being dominated in yet another sport (you know, the one you’re actually supposed to be good at)

Mr. Rodgers,

It may be a beautiful day in your fantasy neighborhood where any Tom, Dick and Dumbass can get into UGA, but in the real world, the average ACT score for students entering UGA is highter than the average ACT score for students entering Tech.

Having superior sports teams doesn’t mean inferior academics.

Dear UGAsux,

Okay what did you think that post of yours just accomplished? I think you are just jealous because of UGA’s high ranking in the final poll and likely number 1 or 2 in the preseason poll. In fact what was the final rankings… UGA’s NUMBER 2 to UT’s number 12! So just close your jealous mouth! PS: You don’t need to say that final score because you will just be embarassed because your team is likely going to the Independence Bowl next year!
