The unvarnished truth …

Folks have been saying for some time now that Georgia isn’t a very good team this season.

Wrong.

Georgia is a VERY BAD team.

And just think, if it weren’t for Tony Taylor, it would have been worse.

Anybody in the UGA student body able to placekick a football? The position SHOULD be open after this game.

Other than that, it was your typical UGA 2006 game: poor throws, dropped balls, no blocking, interceptions and fumbles, and a defense that couldn’t get the job done.

We may have six wins, but frankly, unless fate somehow intervenes and we end up somehow upsetting one of our last two opponents, we DON’T BELONG in ANY bowl game.

More later.

Mentally unprepared and horrible fundamentals. That signals extremely poor coaching.

…giving up 14 4th quarter points to Kentucky. Kentucky’s winning touchdown drive was made up of atleast 40 yards on the ground. They ran it right down Georgia’s throat. I think I was wrong about the coaches. Georgia has some major talent issues. They better get to recruiting FAST!

I think it is time to bench the freshman QB and give Cox a shot. I mean we are expected to lose the next two anyway, and I frankly do not feel Stafford is giving us the “best chance” to win. He has as many interceptions as his receivers have drops.Pitiful. I wish I could say there is always next year, but I am afraid there is not going to be much improvement

We may not belong in a bowl game, but we need the extra game to get ready for next year. Also, when is Stafford going to start showing SOME signs of improvement? I’ve seen nothing from him that gives me good hope for the next few years. We can’t keep calling these mistakes “freshman mistakes”. He needs to get better by the end of the year. By that I mean instead of 3 ints and one t.d, let’s get 3 t.ds and 1 int. Otherwise we will get blown out in our last two games.

The entire program needs overhauling from top to bottom. But, the loss to the KY Cats wasn’t really all that unexpected. What loss would be after losing to Vandy?? This IS a bad team. And CMR KNOWs it will be no better next year. NO OL recruited over the past several years has led to disaster. The defense is a joke. Don’t know who is at fault, but I see no real emotion from the defenders. To let KY move down the field late in the game almost uncontested and score the winning TD is pitiful. I think it was 1972 since GA lost to both Vandy and KY. Way to go guys. My feeling is that CMR will not be in coaching in three years. He will enter the ministry in some fashion. He knows he is 1-5 against the Gators, and will be 2-4 against the AU Tigers this time next week. At some point, the message will be delivered loud and clearly that not at least breaking even with the Gators and AU Tigers ain’t gonna cut it. No more backing into the SECCG. Plus, CMR is a horrible gameday coach. I refer back to Auburn last year as evidence, and Auburn in 2001. CMR is an nice, honorable man, but I don’t think he’ll ever take the ‘Dogs any further. I may be wrong, but it’s up to him to prove me wrong. Pitiful, just pitiful.

O’damn I,ve been a dog watcher for 30 years and have never witnessed a run like this, out coached and out played week after week by 2nd and 3rd rate teams.Richt is at a crossroads he must face the fact that this staff is seriously flawed. These problems started manifesting last season when tackling started getting shoddy. Here are some needs 1 a defensive coordinator who can prepare and motivate,2 an offensive line coach 3 turn the offence over to Bobo or bring someone in,Richt needs to delegate, get the right people in place and let them coach! Let’s hope he does’nt fall sick with stubburn coach syndrome many a good coach has been lost to this before.

He really hasn’t done anything this year. A kid can be an All American but until they prove themselves in College, I dont’ buy it.

Brock Berlin was supposed to be Mr. Football going in to UF a few years back. He was great in high school, average in college.

The DAWG NATION has finally faced reality. Although, as a Tech fan, I am more nervous after every UGA loss. We still have to go to Athens before we can start talking trash. My dream is for the UGA vs TECH game to actually mean something.

Richt has a freshman in a very complicated offensive. I just hope the light does not come on during the next few week.

Is this season an aberration or a sign of what’s to come?

Many of you believe Stafford was nothing but hype and that Richt needs to be fired, or shake up his entire coaching staff.

I believe there needs to be some fine-tuning… perhaps finding an OC is the best change that could happen.

I believe this year is an aberration. UGA has yet to be blown out of any game… they could have and should have won every game they’ve played this year, but have lost due to their own mistakes.

I think this year is an aberration which will make next year that much sweeter.

Dropped passes, fumbles, missed blocking assignments, no push in the DL, no depth on the OL, with the starters being average at best, overall - does not equate to a quality group. Oh did I mention the inexperience of the DB’s?

With the passes Milner has dropped this year, will cost him millions the draft. This guy is a very good blocker, his inability to catch the ball is mental, and cannot be corrected regardless of the time coaches spend with him- in all probably will not be drafted.

Stafford, is pressing because of his lack of confidence in the receivers. On each throw this has to be in the back of his mind. On each offensive play, i cringe in anticipation of what will go wrong next.

Some of the above may be coaching, my opinion these guys are not over achievers nor do they have exceptional talent.

At the beginning of the year was of the opinion of either and 8/10 win year.

The ship should be righted next year-hopefully.

Remembe Thomas Davis and David Pollack were signed as complimentary players. Davis’ only other offer was from Grambling. Pollack was signed as a FB,redshirted, played defensive tackle as a RS Freshman(started 3 games), switched to DE as a sophmore- well you know the rest. 5* players are overrated, when signing look for the guy with the “mega” motor. These are the people that ensure that you win, based upon sheer determination. This is what Georgia has too have.

Hope the grammar police is not in attendance-so frustrated cannot see straight, nor do i want to!!!!!

In my world making a mistake isn’t a problem but doing the same thing and expecting a different result is a problem. CMR owes the fans an explanation of what is wrong and what he is going to do to correct the problem. There are issues. At what point must Stafford show improvement? At what point must the defense hold a lead in the forth quarter? At what point is a coach held responsible for continuing to throw the ball to Milner? CMR is the caoch for UGA but now is the time to step up to the plate and to stop confusing potential with results.

Let’s face it, not having a back-up kicker has hurt us. Okay, not having an offensive line hasn’t helped either. Okay, a non-pourous defense would benefit the team too.

Where are all those UGA fans with their six-pack predictions? I remember everyone counting Vandy and Kentucky as sure wins. You believed you would have trouble against Florida and Auburn(but would win one of those) but would beat Tech for sure. Well, you guys have been wrong about everything so far. Auburn, who isn’t that great anyway, will roll over. You will make it look good against Tech in the first quarter like Miami did, but you will lose. Face it, 6-6 is the best you will do this year. Also, that does not guarantee a bowl this year. There may be as many as 6 or 7 6-6 teams from many of BCS conferences. A lot of analyst believe 7 wins is the new standard for a decent bowl. I don’t think many bowls would like UGA as a choice.

It may turn out to be lucky for you guys not to go to a bowl. You would then have a 6-7 season, unless they let you play Colorado or Ole Miss again so you can win by a point! Ha Ha Ha Ha. UGA is to the SEC as Duke is to the ACC. Easy win…..

Coaching mistakes have to be blamed for this lose!! Lumpkin had 70+yds first half and only 3 carries 2nd half, WHY? Doesn’t the coaching staff want a 100yd rusher in a game? CMR has to help Stafford or Cox (play him some) with some wise play selections and pounding/running the ball the old SEC tradition. Poor clock management on last UGA touchdown drive and poor defense on UK last drive, AWFUL. Miss 2 field goals and 1 extra point, WHY? Find a field goal kicker or go for 2 PAT!! CMR MUST MUST make some coaching changes or he will be able to except the FSU or U. Miami job. Come CMR you are a better leader than we have seen this year. Hire some new coaches, Def. Cord., Off. Line Coach, Off. Cord. USE Lumpkin until he request a rest or get both running backs in the game together. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE DAWGS but still a Dawg fan.

The Dogs will rise again. Be a fan, support the team or get off and stay off the bandwagon. So what if we got beat by the cellar dwellers of the SEC. Some years it’s gonna happen. It boils down to chemistry and we don’t have it this year. Things will get better. Our national champion in 1980 wasn’t expected to do much and they won it all. Next year we will not be ranked high to start the year but if the chem is there, watch out. Go Dogs, play hard and keep your heads up. I support you win or lose.

It’s hard to take these so-called freshman QB mistakes when all over the SEC freshmen QBs are shinning. Today it’s Tennesssee’s Crompton. Mustain at Ark. Tebow at FL. They seem to be improving and taking a real leadership position. Meanwhile Stafford still looks as green as ever. Coaching? Maybe. Maybe the kid just can’t get it done at this level. Time to give Cox another shot. Or maybe that other QB we’ve all forgotten about, Blake Barnes.

We are the laughing stock of the SEC. Top notch recruiting classes year after year should NEVER result in this kind of year! It’s time for MR to either get his act together, get fired up and coach like it matters (and that means firing some assistants, hiring some with fire in their bellies, kicking some player’s butts, and raising some holy hell in the locker room) or move on to the ministry.

In times like this it boils down to coaching. The players no longer believe. The rest of the season is gong through the motions. It is most obvious on the defense. Kentucky ran up and down the field…need there be any more evindence presented to prove Martinez doesn’t have what it takes and if we want any more blue chip defenders we will have to have a coach they will want to play for, cause it aint this one…The defensive schemes have proven time and time again they don’t work. The type of defense played does not work, the style of play does not work. In tackle football the man with the ball is supposed to be tackled. Our defense hasn’t figured that out yet…why? Because the coach doesn’t teach it.

These next two games should be used to get ready for next year…a year without Martinez.

I know the ACC had a few games this year that looked like it was down, but face the stats, the ACC has better offensive and defensive teams than the SEC has. I can’t see a powerhouse team in the SEC at all. I will admit Tennessee looks to be the better complete team than anyone there, with Arkansas looking like a competive team. But the rest is a joke. Florida is so overrated. They are not blowing anyone away with that makeshift offense. Alabama and UGA continue to show they can’t compete with anyone. Miss St, Vandy, Ole Miss, Kentucky? Give me a break. Even SC with the ol’ Ball Coach can’t field a good team. They barely beat Wofford! LSU can beat the heck out of the worst teams in the nation like UGA can (thats why the SEC schedules cream puffs…to pad the win-loss column) but LSU has only scored 13 points total against decent teams in their two losses. The SEC is the biggest joke in college football. They always cry when it comes to playing each other, saying they can’t win the NC, but funny how when a team goes undefeated, the are left out of the National Championship game (remember Auburn?). Also I like the way the SEC competed in the Bowl games last year with Missouri kicking SC to death and West Vir mauling the Dawgs.

Take a look around and see the writing on the wall. the SEC is in a down year. Worse than the ACC who is also down. You have to admit the ACC would wipe the floor against the SEC, just like GT did against Auburn the last two years. Like Clemson does against SC…so on and so forth…get over yourselves…….

This is where we see if Richt is truly maturing as a head coach. For the first time, he needs to fire an assistant coach…and one who’s a friend. Willie Martinez is just not very good, and Richt MUST realize it. Richt has to learn his loyalty is to the program and not coaches. He’s given Martinez his chances, and he’s just not making it. In addition, I would hope he’ll take another look at an offensive coordinator—Richt isn’t too good in that position either. He’s the man we want running the program…greeting mamas and promising to take care of their boys. Heck, he’s even the guy we want coaching up the QB’s as he did at FSU, but he’s not the guy want running the offense. He’s had his chance, too…

Ouch! We lost to everyone in the East except S. Carolina. Let’s be fair. Richt’s a good coach. Let’s not get stupid and run him off. Honestly, the Dawgs failure is a little bit of coaching, a thin offensive line, a freshman quarterback, a tough division, and a little bit of bad luck with injuries at key positions. We can’t win it all every year, and its only a sport. That said, we should have a much better year next year. Look what happened to Michigan and Tennessee after their down years. Sometimes it takes remembering what it is like to lose, to remember how to win again.

hey idiot, err reality check, or whatever your name is. my comment was actually more of a knock on our coaching staff than anything. the reality is mr. reality check that the rosters of perennial super bowl contenders like the steelers and the patriots are littered with bulldawgs, just as are the pro bowl rosters. and then when you check all of the other decent playoff contenders, you see UGA players make steady productive contributions to their teams. the fact that the bengals got the playoffs for the first time last year when they added pollack and odell was not just a coincidence to me. You want to kill Odell, that is fine. he is self-destructive enough to warrant that. But to go after Pollack who is really one of the most selfless guys around, well I have no idea what to even say to you about that. calling you classless or anything like that would not do you justice. all i can say is that you better make your peace with god for that comment because the big man upstairs heard you say that.

I meant DJ Suckly; - maybe 2 or 3 QB’s will get hurt tomorrow so he can get in for a play or two and make the Dawg Nation proud.

TO YOU TECH BOYS

I will repeat. Stop writing on our boards when we vent. I have no doubt that the Dawgs are still one of the top teams in the nation. We had a few plays not go our way, and the refs have been out to get us it seems. Take those away and we are 8-2 or 9-1. We should be in the National Championship picture. Heck the way Ohio State and Michigan played today, we could easily beat them. The SEC is the top conference in the country, nerds! The only reason we lost a few games is because they are interconference games. We haven’t lost to any outsiders! We could still beat any other conferences teams. I can’t remember the last time we lost to anyone outside of the SEC. You Techie nerds are so jealous. You have never beat any SEC teams when you play them, let alone us! Ha Ha Ha…nerd loser! When was the last time you techies won a National Championship?? HUH?? can’t hear ya?? It sure wasn’t in 1980 because we won that one nerds! Go Dawgs!! You wish you could have had an undefeated season like we had then. You haven’t even come close since what, 1950 something?? Ha ha.

Go Dawgs!! 8-4 will be easy. Bowl games here we come!

The David Pollack comment had better not come from a Tech fan. I hate the dawgs, but Pollack is a classy guy. He had a neck/spine injury jerk! Thurman is a thug, but Pollack is a great guy. ESPN did a story on him a few years ago at UGA and I was glad he was recruited by the Bengals. I wish he would have gone to Tech! Great guy! I wish him a speedy recovery.

Hey bigdawg88

Fans of other teams shouldn’t post here because you say so? As Paul Hamilton pointed out it’s no wonder other fans come here and rub it in, because UGA fans suck.

UGAg fans are the most delusional fans I’ve ever come across in college football.

You still live in 1980 with your single national title.

One subpar season this year and you idiots want to run Mark Richt out of town. Let me humnly point out that until Richt came to Athens UGA’s last SEC title was in 1982. He’s won 2 SEC titles in his brief tenure.

Keep running your yaps and when he leaves to take the FSU job at some point you’ll see what kind of head coach you wind up with…UGA isn’t the primo coaching job you morons seem to think…because other coaches don’t want to deal with the delusional fan base as is, and when you run Richt off even fewer will want the job.

Can someone explain to me why you relegate a RB who has gained 70 yards in the first half of a ballgame to 3 carries in the second half? I am beginning to think that Coach Richt has something personal against Lumpkin. Or is it that Georgia’s current head coach doesn’t know how to adjust to coaching a team with no passing game? It seems he has given away this season to stubbornly follow his pass happy ideaology. No wonder the defense is so bad … They keep being put back onto the field!

FIRE WILLIE MARTINEZ!!!!!!! Plese read and see if you agree We couldn’t get a defensive stop today to get the win! We couldnt get a defensive stop against Vandy to win. By the way Vandy has done NOTHING on offense since playing us!! We had a huge lead against UT and the defense couldnt get any stops! See a pattern!! It isn’t like we don’t have talent on defense. Charles Johnson, Quentin Moses, Tony Taylor, Paul Oliver and even possibly Jeff Owens will probably be playing on Sundays!!

The sportswriters are brain-dead. Stafford’s interceptions had no impact on today’s loss and resulted in zero points for KY. They had no impact on the other 3 losses. He has 9 interceptions in 5 games but they have resulted in zero points to the 4 teams that beat us [he gave up 14 pts in the Miss State win] Today, the defense gave up a game-winning-drive again, just like Vandy, after Stafford engineered the go-ahead touchdown. The numbers do not lie. The defense has given up 144 points in the last 5 games [29 pts/game] and we have lost 4 out of 5 games. In our first 5 wins, the defense only gave up only 24 pts total. How can you ever win if you are giving up 29 pts a game. If it keeps up, the bleeding will never stop. The offense is scoring enough points [24 per game] to be 8-2 or 9-1 if the defense had not fallen apart. The defense has been invisible, except for the FL game when they stepped up & showed a heart beat. Too little, too late. Don’t blame this on Stafford. If you want Cox and T to play, their talent is desperately needed on defense.

Let’s stop calling for wholesale changes. We have had a great team since Richt came on board and will be great again. You can’t win 10 games every year (like Richt has done the previous five years). I love the DAWGS win or lose and they don’t have to go to the SEC championship every year to earn that love. Richt hold your head up high, you’re a h3ll of a coach. DAWGS hold your head up high, you’ve been beaten by better teams and that’s o.k. too. GO DAWGS!!!

I hope the majority of you are under 12, otherwise there is no excuse for the childishness. The homophobia is ridiculous and the nanny, nanny, boo-boo your-team-sux stuff is really getting old. Let’s talk football without all of the redneck hyperbole. I lived in Georgia for the majority of my adult life (from college on) and moved to Southern California two years ago and when I read this stupid, classless sh*t, I am glad to be gone. Stop reinforcing the redneck stereotype.

I was very angry about the loss today. I cannot believe it has gotten this bad. I truly hope that Martinez and Eason are gone after this season. Personally, I would love for Van Gorder to come back. He understood how to motivate players. He would have ripped several of those players a new rear end by now. I think MR is a good coach but he has lost control of his team. Finish the drill is over. Find another way to motivate. Scream, get angry, throw something. Show the players that you care about winning.

I agree with you HT. I don’t think Stafford is responsible for UGA’s demise. The kicking game, the dropped balls and the horrible play by our defense are. HT,

ummm, 12 interceptions simply does not cut it. even if points were not directly scored when his passes were intercepted, that stat can be misleading. because what turnovers do is change momentum and field position. the other team gets the momentum when you turn it over. your teams loses morale when you turn it over. the field position is ultimately, however, the big thing. if staff throws an interception at our 45, the other team advances to the our 37 but no further, then punts, and then we go three and out and advance the ball to say the 15 yard line or the 27 or 33 yard line and then we punt again, the other team gets good field position again, an extra 20- 30 yards they would not have otherwise have had, thus putting our already weak defense into a compromised situation where they have less field to defend. and this pattern goes on and on where the other team has better field position until either team eventually scores or the other team turns the ball over. SO, the point is that you can make the simplistic statement that stafford’s turnovers have not DIRECTLY led to scores on most occasions but they have certainly altered momentum, killed out battle to win field position, and have repeatedly placed our weak defense into compromises situations because of the poor field position they are given

We knew going in this year that it was likely to be a down year. Shutting out South Carolina and the Ole Ball Coach at SC raised our expectations a bit much. No one should be happy with losses to Vandy or Kentucky, but I’m willing to stick with CMR and let him figure it out. Last time I checked, he had 3 more SEC Eastern Division wins, 2 more SEC championships, and One more Sugar Bowl victory than Donnan and Goff combined. He’s an adult, and a pro. He knows improvement is expected next year. He’s drawing down a bit of the good will he’s built up, but I for one will give him the chance to fix it his way, whatever that may be.

One last comment from DAWGFAN. TEAMS play solid football and win games. We don’t have a TEAM this year, we have talent and position players and that’s about it. I don’t see this group of players hanging out and spending their non-football time together. This season will be great motivation for what not to do next year and we’ll be back. Hang in there DAWGS fans, there’s always next year.

I love the Dawgs good and bad but what is going on with this team. The defense has fallen apart. I think that has to do with the coach. Willie Martinez is not the right guy for the job. With the talent they have they should be great. On the other side of the ball. Mark Richt needs to give the play calling to some one else, maybe even change the offense to match the talent on there team.

The writer who said he believes CMR will be out of coaching in 3 years and in the ministry hit the bullseye. I’ve been calling him Granny Richt for years. He’s a sweet guy, great minister..but A VERY LOUSY FOOTBALL COACH. There is absolutly no fire in the him. How he bumbled his way to 3 SEC championship games is beyond me. Green, Pollack and Shockley provided some very strong leadership over the past 4 years but they’re long gone. Martinez IS NOT the problem. The defense played great until we started turning it over 5 times a game. How could any defense survive that?? The problem is CMR’s inability to motivate and his love affair with some over-hyped kid out of Texas who is possibly the worst quarterback to ever play at Georgia. Losing to Vandy and UK in the same season is as bad as it gets..no wait, we still have to play Tech. It could get even worse.

By the way, I hate to tell those of you who have now decided this is a rebuilding year..Stafford is toast. Whatever potential the kid had has been destroyed by CMRs insistance on playing him this year. I predict once this season is done, he’ll never play another down for UGA.

I’ve followed UGA footbal for 40 years..went to my first game in Sanford Stadium in 1964..there wasn’t even an upper deck then..spent rainy nights on the tracks with all the crazies..was in the press box for Herscel vs. Rogers..lived through the post Jan Kemp / Ray Goff years..and I’ve NEVER been this disappointed in a Georgia team.

SO, does that mean even though i am not a lawyer, i should not have some criticism of my lawyer if i end spending 10 years in prison or if my ex-wife gets everything in a divorce? if my kid can’t read or write in the 3rd grade, does that mean i should not criticize my kid’s teacher because i have never been a teacher? i’ve never been a politician, so i should not critize politicians when things are a mess? i’ve never been a police officer, so when a bunch of cops go rodney king on some guy, i am not allowed to criticize? my garbageman has not picked up my trash for the last 5 days, but i’ve never walked a mile in the garbageman’s shoes, so i should not criticize? some company created a malfunctioning car with brakes that failed causing me to total my car and kill a pedestrian, but i’ve never owned a car company, so i guess i can’t criticize a car company owner according to your pansy @ss logic. get a clue dude. that is one helluva weak excuse for CMR you are throwing out there

Dear Coach Richt:

On behalf of all NCAA division II schools, we gladly accept your request to allow your football team to play a Division II schedule in the 2007 football year.

One of the most difficult challenges facing our scheduling coordinators is finding just the right door-matt of a football team to play our schools on thier homecoming weekend. Thanks to your generosity, twelve of our teams will be guranteed an easy victory that will excite the fan base and alumni.

In return, on your homecoming weekend in Athens, we will find a college for the deaf or the blind so that you will at least have a slight chance of earning a victory this season!

Again, thank you for your kind offer. It is truly an honor to have an offensive genius of your caliber in division II football!

Good post “grow up”. Some of these blogs are idiotic and annoying to sort through. Also agree that with you about the defense. There is a lack of emotion. It would really help to have someone on the staff go into the locker room (kinda like tubberville did in their florida game) and fire up the team. Last year that was VanGorder, now we don’t have that presence. Did anyone see Les Miles in the halftime interview today, he was p**. You could tell he was going to go in the locker room and get everyone fired up. We need that desperately.

Richt has proven he is a good coach. But something has changed the chemistry of the team. I suspect it is complacency and the loss of VanGorder.

I still have faith that this will be turned around next year. But it just seems nothing will change until there is an attitude change. I fear that this season is going to hurt our recruiting and then end up having a very long term effect. If we can just get fired up and go out and play with reckless abandoned on defense we might be able to pull an upset next week.

This would at least show that our program has some signs of life.

We need to stop shaking our heads and looking confused. We seem so flat, its almost like we just expect to beat these teams because we’ve done it in the past. Now that those expectations have been brought down, it is time to play like we have something to prove—-No doubt we do.

Sitting here listening to the 5th quarter show a caller ask if UGA had a tailback like Hershel would CMR run him like Dooley did? They said NO because that type of back doesn’t fit into CMR’s offensive scheme. Sometimes smart and wise coaches adapt and offense to the type of players that they have. Ex. Bear Bryant changed his offense to the players ability Joe N. pass run the wishbone if you don’t have a passer and he was successful. Today’s college coaches have a offense they want to run and will run regardless and will not adapt if it doesn’t fit the players they think they have recuited. CMR look at the players ability and what they do best and adapt to use their ability, 2 good running backs, 1 good fullback and another above average fullback, offensive line that does a fairly good at run blocking, receivers that haven’t caught too well, freshman QB that has thrown at least 3 int. per game. ADAPT to your players abilities CMR, and get a new wild and crazy Def. Cord. with some emotion. Def. is an emotional and wild Coach Mart. isn’t wild and crazy, Was Erk and was VanGroter and is Mickey.

Hey “mad dawg” you make a great point. My point isn’t that you can’t criticize. My point is that the guys posting comments on this site aren’t going to fix anything. What our team needs is for a helluva coach to right the ship. I think we have that in Mark Richt. NO ONE can say the man isn’t a great coach. Wouldn’t it suck to see him go elsewhere and take their team to greatness rather than give him a pass on a bad year? We lose to Florida every year because Florida is DAMN GOOD at home.

I agree that some things need to be done differently but firing Martinez, hiring an OC, setting fire to Stafford, and revamping the entire defense isnt’ it. What needs to be done differently WILL BE DONE. Mark Richt isn’t going anywhere in three years (I realize that’s not your comment), he will still be here when my children are adults!!!

PS IF YOU THINK YOU COULD DO IT BETTER THEN GO UP TO ATHENS AND APPLY FOR THE JOB!!!!!

mad dawg I agree that turnovers cause loss of momentum and puts stress on the defense. However, the ones making simplistic statements are the sportswriters who don’t go to the game. They see 3 interceptions and automatically print Headlines that blame the loss on that. 2 of the interceptions today were at the end of the first half and did not change the score from 14-10 and the last one was a desperate attempt to save a game. The key point of the game was when GA was down 17-
