Its like we were hexed or something. Nothing went right in the 1st half. Dawgs, we got our buts whiped. I don’t know where to throw blame, but the biggest thing that comes to mind is penalties and injuries. At least we can eliminate one of those.

Congrats to Bama. You guys played a helluva game. You deserve to make a big move in the rankings this week. I’m very proud of the way the Dawgs played in the 2nd half. They could have mailed it in after the thrashing they took in the 1st half. The season is not lost. We still control our destiny in the East. I don’t beleive that we are over rated at all. I still think we win the East and meet Bama again in Atlanta. Maybe we will show up for the entire 60 minujtes in that and every other game this year.

I can only hope that when the year ends and UGA has another good run to the end of the season that they won’t be clamoring about a national title shot and how they got robbed. Anyone that gets beat like this at home (like they did last year too by SC and thrased by TENN) does not deserve a title shot. So please remember this beating when the bowl selection talk heats up.

Georgia will drop in the polls, but remember after UGA lost to Tenn. last year they fell to 23 and made their way back up to # 2 at year’s end. Put this loss behind them and take care of business the rest of the year and things will work out fine.

Congrats to Bama on the upset win. The game reminded me of the NCAA b’ball tourney where sometimes inferior teams can play above their heads and upset the favored team. Again congrats Bama, and we look forward to seeing you guys again. Your team will not be underestimated again!

You can’t blame this on dropped passes…. The problem is we have a QB with a great arm, but no touch.

You can’t force the ball in the middle of the field into double and triple coverage and hope your receivers catch the ball.

They were lucky to catch some that they did.

I say give Cox a chance - he has a nice touch.

We have to change…

Richt got us through last year with the Gimmicks against FL and Auburn, but now we have a target on our back.

We are out of control with penalties - Richt has created a bunch of THUGS instead of the class we used to have at UGA. We are headed doen the road that Miami took.

We lost some big recruits today and I can’t blame them for not wanting to come here with the way things are headed.

We were lucky to close within 11 as we got an onside kick and we got a break when we got the TD when GR had a bad block in the back. I guess the refs felt sorry for us.

I wonder what effect, if any, jet lag from traveling cross country was any factor in being a step slower in the first half. I think Coach Richt was trying to will the team through this week to get to the bye, by creating the blackout and getting fans into it.

Congrats to the Dawgs for staying in the fight and playing to the end. Take this bye week to work on reducing penalties and get ready for Tenn. in 2 weeks.

The game is played between the white lines, not on paper, and not in the media. After USC’s loss every team should have been put on alert. You can be beat any week. Georgia came into this game with no intensity, no game plan offensively at all. Coach Bobo once again fails to utilize all of his weapons. Knowshon is not sneaking up on anybody, every SEC school is going to take him away. Matthew has to become more of a complete qb. Alot of times there was no pressure and he would still leave the pocket. We have o remember people that Georgia was ranked based on last season, and they didn’t deserve to be preseason #1, any SEC school would have beaten Hawaii.

You have to give them credit for making it respectable in the second half, but still a terrible game overall.

Based on the first two SEC games, it looks like the Dawgs were a little over-hyped. But given the “weak” SEC East, I think we still have a good shot of making it to the SEC championship game. And if we win that, who knows?

Just makes it all the more important to win the rest of the games, including Florida, Auburn, and LSU. It doesn’t get any easier.

I try to be gracious in both victory, and defeat. So after USC lost I came onto this blog and posted (respectfully) so as not to be cowardly. I conceded we were out of the hunt and wished your dawgs good luck. You choose to be be an A*******hole and disrespectful.

What comes around, goes around. You can spin this any way you want; it looks like both our team will be out of the title hunt this year.

First off, I love the Dawgs. That said, now time for tough love! I would not vote UGA in the Top 10. They would have to win three consecutives times before I would grant them a #10 spot. Somebody was right, if somehow we do win out, which I don’t think we will do, when it does come time for bowl selection, we should just shut up and take it like a man because any team that plays like Georgia did tonight, deserves to play in the Outback bowl. Three seasons in a row we have just gotten smashed in a game, that never happened years ago, the losses were close, not blowouts. Looks like another lost year.

This game was NOT an upset. I have been telling you people all week that Alabama’s offensive line was the best in the nation and that the front seven on D was better than yours. You didn’t score any points until Bama dropped into the soft bend-don’t break zone defense. In the first half your freshmen couldn’t run block vs. seven in the box and we were getting pressure sending five, locking up in a man-under cover 1 with the safety mostly rolling to Green. If the defense doesn’t have to bring the eighth in to stop the run or pressure the QB it’s very difficult to pass.

Oh, and go back to my post comparing Stafford to Vick without the speed. Cannon arm, inconsistent accuracy, no touch, and mediocre decision-making. I called 27-17 all week. What a night!!!

Sure Oregon St, Ole Miss, and Alabama beat ranked teams this weekend, but if college football has taught us anything, it’s that on any given day an inferior team can play out of their minds and pull off an upset that nobody thinks is possible. Thank goodness. Now the media lovefest with UGA is over. Moreno and Stafford lost their Heisman chances tonight. UGA fans will claim a moral victory with a 30-point 2nd half, but that’s not impressive against the second-string defense. Say goodbye to your national championship hopes. LSU, Vandy, and even Auburn will throttle UGA if they play like that again.

One thing’s for sure: If UF and UGA play in Jacksonville like they did today, it will look like a middle school pillowfight.

Losing early doesn’t mean sh-t for UGA b/c know one respected their original ranking to begin with. They will fall too far back in the pools to rebound. But the sad part is that Ohio State might just end up back in the national title picture. If that happens, I quit watching CFB until they insert a playoff. Look, already talking about playoff. I thought the referees were terrible tonight, It was as if they wanted the Dawgs to lose. They didn’t call much of anything against the tide. I say if you take the ref’s out of it, we win the game. The dawgs are still the best team in the country. We need to black out every game for the rest of the season. We will still be National Champs, mark my word, even with one of the hardest schedules in college football history. Knowshon will still win the heisman. I am so tired of Gawja embarrassing the rest of us in the SEC by whining how great ya’ll are. You got totally humiliated by WVU when the Sugar was in Atlanta(basically a home game). Then all the chest pounding last year after you beat Hawaii. All Georgia fans, Mark Richt and most of all, the UGA President owes LSU a big ol apology for the huge guilt trip laid on us just because we got the chance to whip OSU’s butt. You guys were overrated the whole time and tonight’s game proved it. You are out the the BCS hunt and may even be out of the SEC by the time you come to Baton Rouge.

The problem with this loss is that it knocks U (sic) GA out of the national championship picture (no, a one-loss Dawgs team will NOT be chosen above a one-loss Trojans squad, despite what fantasies you may have).

The problem with them being knocked out of a national championship is that we’ve all got to listen to “WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR” crap for an entire year. Then, UGAY will go on and lose another game next year, then we’ll hear about how 2010 is “THEIR YEAR” for an entire year.

Year after year after year of my entire life has been clouded by Dawgs telling everyone around them how NEXT YEAR they’re going to win a national championship. They’ve been right ONCE for over 100 years. I get sick of hearing it.

DAWGS: STFU!!!!!! No one wants to hear about how you’re going to win the NC next year, when the rest of us all know you’re going to crap your britches, just like you did tonight.

How woefully under prepared can a defense be? ‘Bama’s offense is about as vanilla as it can be and you sit back and let Wilson get comfortable in the pocket early in a big game? Give him credit for not making the big mistake as he has done in the past, but blame Uga and Martinez for making him feel right at home. He made one challenging throw all night(the Julio Jones TD). By that time you had let him settle into the ballgame and feel comfortable, so it is pretty pointless. I will break my TV the next time I see Uga defense coordinators let unimpressive QBs have 10 yard hitch routes by playing conservative early in football games. What a debacle of defensive gameplan. Giving up 41 points to that Alabama offense is unacceptable. Arkansas/Tulane didn’t even do that. Only one of the scoring drives were set up via a turnover in Uga’s end of the field; the rest were steady marches down your throat. Congrats to Saban and Bama, but my heavens, I’m sick of this new trend of not showing up for big games. Kudos to the players and fans for fighting/cheering to the end though the defense coaches deserved neither.

Georgia only lost by 11. Last year Tennessee beat them much worse and they ended the year at #2 with two losses. They are very likely to see Bama again in the SEC title game where redemption is possible because obviously this game was a “tale of two halves”.

Bama fans should be proud of the win but count on seeing Georgia again Dec 6th.

Would everyone stop predicting the rest of the season?! We don’t know what is going to happen down the stretch. Stop assuming that we will lose 3 or 4. This is one game, it was bound to happen eventually with this schedule. A loss, but only a 11 point loss. It appeared in the 1st half that we could have gotten blown out 56-0 . At least the good guys made it respectable in the 2nd half and held the explosive Bama O to 10 pts. Bama was the better team tonight, I think we all know that. UGA is still a great team. We may not make it to the NC but the SEC Championship may not be out of the question. Other top ten teams lost today as well. At least we lost to a great team. Good luck to Bama for the rest of the way. Go Dawgs, work on the mistakes and win out!

I agree with the tough love. When you talk the SH-=-, you indeed have to back it up. I don’t understand the first half defense. Don’t give me crap how UA ran all over UGA. They didn’t. That soft zone CRAP has to go. If that CWM, then so be it. You saw a total different game when the blitzing started in the second half. As for the offense, Bobo needs to grow a pair. Saban was indeed in UGA’s collective minds. We have probaly the most best TB in the country. What does UGA do? Throw, throw, throw. Did not try to establish the run. After the first UA score, it was apprent we had to drive the ball to help the defense. I put the poor showing from UGA squarely on CMR. Now, I am not calling for a firing; I just hope he learned his lesson in cockiness. Yes that is exactly what it was all game week. There coach makes 5 mil, ours makes 2 mil! It was sooooo worth it tonight for the Bama nation. Our coaching staff looked like it actually made what my local high school coaches make. UGA will wait for another year. We wouldn’t stand a chance against Saban’s line players in any other game this next decade. That was the most rediculous!!!!!! loss I have seen since UF @ home in 95 or TN last year. Mark you got two of em now and Goff has the other. I pay attention to the blogs to laugh at most of you loons who post your ridiculous crap. Most of you are drunk or on a huge meth bender. Alabama played great tonight. UGA was a tired, underprepared football team. If UGA was going to lose an SEC game, this was the one to lose. They have a killer schedule, but they still control their own destiny. We just need to be number two after the first week in December. The game of the year is Florida. Tennessee if awful and if we can get to the SEC championship with just one or two losses, I like our chances at the big game. I really love how big of babies some fans can be…this kinda junk show who the real College Football fans are and those who they they are. College football is a great game but “fans” like “BAMA” really ruin the sport for the real fans. It does seem a bit pointless to mention, but what could be the possible reason that the Dogs executed not one single outside pitch to run outside. It is possible that they did and I missed it while I went for more soda and chips. I wonder if the UGA coaches realize that they have some fairly decent running backs with sufficient speed and athletic skill to get outside. Perhaps not, but it doesn’t hurt to wonder.

Put away the black jerseys. I myself didnt like them to begin with because of the thuggery perception it brings with it. CMR needs to light a fire under his assistant coaches. Every year since Van Gorder has left UGA has gotten blown out in 1 game during the year. Something is not quite right.

UGA just got whipped plain and simple…..but I cannot believe that I read that some Georgia fans are actully claiming Stafford has no touch on his passes…..as an Auburn fan I would give my left nutt to have him as our QB….have you seen our QBs play? Alabama fans already crowning themselves National Champs, but mock UGA fans for doing the same earlier in the season. Irony? You still have to face a tough LSU team; I wouldn’t start celebrating just yet. UGA has a chance to win out if it works on the penalties and strengthens the O line. Oh Bama, can someone take the cheeseburger out of Cody’s hands? That boy is a heart attack waiting to happen. I am being completely serious about this; that is a dangerous and unhealthy weight for a young man. With that said, UGA is a great team, win or lose. GO DAWGS!

Things are still wide open folks…of all teams for UGA to lose to…this was the best scenario. The loss was against a top 10 western division team in September. Remember last year…do not give up yet! My hat is off to UA for playing a nearly perfect 1st half.

I love when the dawgs lose. Tech fans have had to suffer through Bill Lewis and Chan Gailey. I enjoy when all you dawg fans get your hopes dashed. Wonder why the dawgs went down in the polls every week. Week 1 and 2 you playED nobody. Week 3 you almost lose to a South Carolina team who will be lucky to win 5 or 6 games this year. You better be glad there was a fumble in the endzone or the dawgs would be a 2 loss team. Week 4, the dawgs playED well in the first half but didn’t do much the rest of the game.

The talk by every sports talk show, every sports anchor and every dawg fan was, the game will be close but I think the dawgs will win by 7 or 10 or 14. This isn’t Alabama’s year, they are building for next year.

Well Alabama is not a fluke. The highly touted Moreno does not look like the lock to win the Hiesman.

I wonder how long it will take you dawg fans to start bashing Richt and calling for his head.

GO JACKETS….dawgs finish the regular season 7-5 and play in a bowl game before New Years Day, Jackets finish 8-4 and play in a better bowl and finish the season ranked higher in the polls.
