UGA blog finds new home
Morning all. As I’ve said a couple of times this week, we’re converting this blog over to a WordPress platform and it will be a permanent move the first of next week.
Those of you who are regulars probably know that I’m not what you’d call techno-wizard when it comes to these things. But from what I understand the technology offered in this new format should make the blogging and commenting experience better for all. Of course, I’ll be learning as we go along, too. But I’m hoping to provide more pictures and video and things like that which should bring the blog more to life.
Of course, this blog is nothing without all you guys so I want to heartily invite (read: beg) you to come over to the new site by CLICKING HERE ON THE NEW ADDRESS and save it in your browsers. As of Monday, Feb. 23rd, this will be the permanent home of the UGA blog you so love or, in the case of some of you, love to loathe. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Georgia is having its way Lipscomb pitching. The problem is Lipscomb is having its way with Georgia’s pitching.
The two teams are tied in the third inning of the first game of the Athens regional. Georgia worked slightly harder for its runs, batting around in the top of the first for four runs. It was Bryce Massanari coming through in the clutch for Georgia. The designated hitter delivered a two-out RBI double to keep the rally going. Massanari leads the team with 23 two-out RBI.
Lipscomb has hit two long shots off starter Stephen Holder. The first came in the top of the first over the left field wall. Blake Bratcher had a two-run shot over the right field wall to tie the game in the top of the third.

And the almighty SEC is 3-5 so far. This is the 3rd weekend I have posted that UGA was overrated and the SEC was not as strong as it looked. Also that Georgia Tech was moving up!
I recall more than a couple of UGA posters saying Tech would not be able to handle your “weekend” pitchers. Looks like we won’t have to. Your number one couldn’t even keep Lipscomb’s bats down.
This will happen in football also. They just think they are invincible.

oh well so much for the dynasty that ugay is building in athens.
ugay certainly showed what a class act they are buy turning on the sprinkler system before the teams left the field. if the ugay fans needed their weekly bath they could have at least waited until the teams were off the field.
i am tryin to find a funny way to relate ugay, Lips and cum all in one sentence. i do think we know where that needs to go. so ill leave it to the imagination. UGAY INDEED!

Since we are talking football, just 3 questions. How many Major Colleges wanted to hire Johnson? How many Major College Coaches want to run his offense? How many 4 and 5 Star Players want to go to Tech? You will no doubt improve over time with Johnson. You may beat GA, here & there, but you will always be around 7 to 8 wins. Not 10, 11, 12, 13, or 14. It is just not going to happen. The Notre Dame Box worked well for awhile also. You have to face reality. Tech plays well against GA because it is the only thing to play for all year. That is pure fact. Tech points toward that game 365 days a year. GA only has to worry about getting killed by SC,KY, Vandy,FL,Auburn, TN, AL & a few more.
