UGA blog finds new home
Morning all. As I’ve said a couple of times this week, we’re converting this blog over to a WordPress platform and it will be a permanent move the first of next week.
Those of you who are regulars probably know that I’m not what you’d call techno-wizard when it comes to these things. But from what I understand the technology offered in this new format should make the blogging and commenting experience better for all. Of course, I’ll be learning as we go along, too. But I’m hoping to provide more pictures and video and things like that which should bring the blog more to life.
Of course, this blog is nothing without all you guys so I want to heartily invite (read: beg) you to come over to the new site by CLICKING HERE ON THE NEW ADDRESS and save it in your browsers. As of Monday, Feb. 23rd, this will be the permanent home of the UGA blog you so love or, in the case of some of you, love to loathe. If you’d prefer to copy and paste or just memorize, the new address is: http://blogs.ajc.com/uga-sports-blog/.
See at the new place!

Uga VI’s term nearing end
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
It’s a huge news day in Atlanta. Haven’t you heard? Uga VI is nearing retirement.
It never ceases to amaze me the amount of buzz that little white dog can generate. I’d been hearing for a while now that Uga VI might not make it to this season. Having known Mr. Seiler for many years, I finally decided to give him a call.
Now if you’ve never met Sonny Seiler, you owe it to yourself to introduce yourself to him. A nicer man there has never been, and he epitomizes the Southern Gentleman, what with his Savannah drawl and excellent manners.
Anyway, Mr. Seiler quickly put to rest any notion that Uga VI was gravely ill or anything like that. Since he was 1, the dog that is, he has struggled with knee problems. He’s actually had ACL surgery. That’s the reason Uga doesn’t lead the team onto the field anymore. Uga VI, whose given name is “Uga V’s Loran Whatchagot,” turns 9 years old in July and Seiler said they usually retire by the time they are 10 either way.
So today, let’s talk about the Uga legacy. SI proclaimed the UGA line of pure white English bulldogs as the greatest mascot in America several years ago. Do you agree with that? Generally Uga V, or “Magillicuddy II,” is considered the greatest of all the dogs, or certainly the most famous. He was the one on the SI cover and actually appeared in the movie “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.” Others favor Uga III, because he led the Bulldogs onto the field for exactly 100 games, including the national championship on Jan. 1, 1981. Uga IV, though, was the winningest of all the dogs (77-27-4). Of course, Vince Dooley’s sentimental favor was “Otto”, who relieved an injured Uga IV for four games in 1986, going 3-1 in the process. “I’ve always had a great affection for those who came off the bench and performed,” Dooley said.
So let’s hear about your favorite Ugas and your favorite Uga moments. Which Uga was it that snapped at the Auburn receiver? Now that’s a real bulldog!

A buddy of mine knew a former TBS personality and got us on field press passes one year for the cocktail party. I ended up standing by and talking to the young Seiler who handles UGA for a while and got to tussle around a bit with UGA VI (his rookie year, so he was not much than a pup). I tell ya when hairy dawg walked over for a while, to join in, I was one proud dawg fan standing on that sideline during the live game in the Ol gator Bowl.

Hey guys. Uga VI’s reign began in 1999, so he’s had some very good years. In fact, with two more wins this coming season, he will become the winningest Uga of all time. He’s 76-25 right now. Uga IV was 77-27-4… .
FACT POLICE, no, of course we’re not making anything up. We never make up anything — EVER!
I spoke to Sonny Seiler again this afternoon, after that Scout.com report went up, and he said he was accurately quoted in my story. Seiler said the only thing he didn’t like were the headlines that were originally posted on the story I initially filed. One of them I think was, “Say goodbye to Uga VI,” which Seiler rightfully complained made it sound like the poor dog had died. Another one was simply “Uga VI is retiring,” which without qualification makes it sound like he’s doing it right this minute or today. But if you read the story, you’ll see where Seiler says this is “probably” Uga VI’s last season because, at 9 years of age, he’s getting very old. No Uga has reigned past age 10, which Uga VI will turn next July.
The whole thing came about mainly because of some questions I got on this blog. Some of you guys were saying you’d heard that Uga VI was in bad health and might not make it to the season. So I called Mr. Seiler, whom I’ve known for about 15 years, and asked him. He actually called me back today. The story you saw was the end result. And as it says in the story, Uga VI is a go this season, God willing. But it will likely be his last.

I believe it was UGA V that went after the Auburn player. I was watching the game and Georgia was getting beaten pretty badly at the time. UGA wasn’t kidding, he went after the Auburn player’s private parts and almost got him.
Neither Auburn nor Georgia played the same after that play. It took something out of Auburn and fired up Georgia’s team and fans. UGA truly provided the turning point in the game. Georgia came back from a huge deficit and won the game in overtime. It was our best win all year.
Can anyone name another mascot that has actually influenced the outcome of a game in progress?

Hey Babble ON! The day may come, hopefully not soon, when UGA VI has to be put down but not before he smacks your little band of powderpuffers at least one more time. To make it worse for you, his final victory over you sissies will take place at the Joke By The Coke. And Larry A$$ licker, tell us again why you love to be in Sanford Stadium or, for that matter, why you are compelled to post on the UGA board. Never mind. We already know why. This is for the guy who always post the recent uga(Matt Stafford) article from espn. others ignore. This is just for him. He acts like a write up from a recent uga writer on espn automatically makes uga nat’l champs for next year. Uh-oh an article about the jackets. Guess uga will have to play games next year before they’re awarded the nat’l champioship
Quarterback Taylor Bennett has already made his mark at Georgia Tech.
As a redshirt freshman in 2005, Bennett completed his first collegiate pass for a 42-yard touchdown.
According to Georgia Tech’s media guide, Bennett is believed to be only the second quarterback in Division I-A history to throw a touchdown pass on his first career attempt. The first was USC Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart.
“It’s kind of nice to say you have some sort of connection with Matt Leinart,” said Bennett, a rising junior from St. Louis who joined his teammates for the start of spring practice on March 1. “I’m definitely not comparing myself to him in any way, shape or form, but it’s kind of cool to be able to say that.”
Bennett may not be Leinart, but the hope around Atlanta is that he’s not Reggie Ball, either.
Ball was a four-year starter for the Yellow Jackets whose turbulent tenure ended two weeks before last season’s Gator Bowl when he was declared academically ineligible.
Exit Ball. Enter Bennett.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound left-hander torched West Virginia in the Gator Bowl, completing his first eight passes while finishing 19-of-29 for 326 yards and three touchdowns in the Yellow Jackets’ 38-35 loss.
The 326 yards were the most by a Georgia Tech quarterback since 2001 and set a school record for passing yardage in a bowl game.
Around The ACC
The silver lining in the Yellow Jackets’ loss was Bennett’s peformance. With 17 starters returning from last season’s ACC Coastal Division champions, one of the few question marks surrounding coach Chan Gailey’s team heading into 2007 was supposed to be the quarterback position.
Any concerns appeared to be answered in Jacksonville.
“I don’t think we’ll ever be able to measure how beneficial that was for him,” Gailey said. “It gave him a great deal of confidence going into spring practice and it gave us a great deal of confidence in him going into spring practice. We would have been confident in him, but when it’s confirmed, that helps.”
Bennett and Georgia Tech won’t begin the 2007 season in the shallow end of the pool. A trip to South Bend, Ind., to play Notre Dame on Sept. 1 awaits the Yellow Jackets. Tech is 2-16 all-time in South Bend and hasn’t won there since 1959.
The game will mark Bennett’s third career start. He opened for the first time against Connecticut in 2005 after Ball was sidelined by illness and led Georgia Tech to a 28-13 victory.
Bennett also started the Gator Bowl, but admits that taking the first snap against the Irish will be tough to top.
“I can’t even explain to you the feeling knowing that you’re about to go play in the holy land of college football on opening day,” said Bennett, who played in seven games last season and was 35-of-58 (63 percent) for 523 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. “We love being the underdog and having people say we can’t do it. In our program, we perform off the pressure.”
There will be a lot more pressure on Bennett and Georgia Tech’s offense — under the direction of first-year coordinator John Bond — now that the Yellow Jackets won’t have ACC Player of the Year Calvin Johnson around to catch the ball.
Johnson was sensational in 2006 with 76 catches for 1,202 yards and 15 touchdowns despite getting more coverage than Britney Spears.
“There was pressure to throw Calvin Johnson the ball almost every snap even though he might be double-covered,” Gailey said. “Now, there is the opportunity to spread the ball around to the open receiver. We don’t have a dominating guy anymore at that position.”
The Yellow Jackets do have a dominating player at tailback in senior Tashard Choice, the former Oklahoma transfer who led the ACC in rushing last season with 1,473 yards, the second-highest total in school history.
In a league full of good running backs, Choice may be the best. He eclipsed the 100-yard mark in his last seven games of 2006 and set a school record with nine 100-yard games overall.
With four returning starters on the offensive line to go along with Choice, the natural inclination would be to increase the tailback’s workload, especially with Bennett’s inexperience and the departure of Johnson.
But Gailey said that is unlikely to happen. Last season, Choice set a school record with 297 carries. Only three backs in Division I-A carried more often.
“I think if you try to increase his workload again this year, you would reach a point of diminishing returns,” said Gailey, who’s heading into his sixth season at Georgia Tech. “I think we’re about where we needed to be last year with him.”
The defense, under the direction of John Tenuta, may be in even better shape than the Jackets’ offense. Georgia Tech lost All-ACC first-team defensive tackle Joe Anoai and leading tackler KaMichael Hall, but returns eight starters including all-conference safety Jamal Lewis and linebacker Philip Wheeler, an All-ACC second-team selection.
Since the 2003 season, Tenuta’s crew hasn’t ranked lower than 27th nationally in total defense.
That doesn’t figure to change next season.
“We feel good about our defense,” Gailey said.
There aren’t many worries in the kicking game, either. Punter Durant Brooks returns following a phenomenal junior season in which he ranked fourth nationally with a 45.5-yard average. Kicker Travis Bell broke a long slump near the end of 2006 and connected on eight consecutive field goals before missing a 54-yard attempt in the bowl game.
But the most important returner for Georgia Tech may be the 55-year-old Gailey, who was interviewed for the head coaching jobs with the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers during the offseason.
“It didn’t work out, but I ended up right back here with a great job,” Gailey said.
How great could depend on Bennett.
“I’m very excited,” Bennett said. “Kids that come to college to play football have dedicated their lives to playing a sport. That’s what I’ve done. To have the opportunity to be the starter, you can’t even explain how it feels.”
Beginning on Sept. 1 in South Bend, Bennett will get a chance to make his mark on Georgia Tech football.
Again.

Oh and by if it is 7 in a row it will also be “28” years in a row without a nat’l championship. It must suck to pride yourself on one sport and have to think back 28 years to remember a nat’l championship. Then again you probably weren’t alive to see it, going by your immature reasonings for next years success. I also read where the uga 83’ final four basketball team was reunited along with Tech’s 90’ and 04’ teams. Were you even alive to see that either? Chip I can’t get your web page to pull up,nut I give you permission to access my info on file.My pick in the final four is Georgetown.I like the low post defense with green stacked in front of Hibbert, with Green’s athleticism and Hibbert’s length they reduce a team’s options inside. The guard play isn’t all star but they’re smart and Wallace gives them a shooter on the perimeter.Last but not least G-town’s opponents must see backdoor cuts in their sleep.

Certainly not an acc fan, but will speculate that acc defenses will show a lot more than did WVa’s in whatever bowl that was last year. Bennett had a good game, but I wouldn’t be blinded by a rookie performance in a meaningless bowl game. Could’ve been ‘beginner’s luck’. Notre Dame may be even a better test than the acc. On any account, it won’t be like RBall.

Uga, on the other hand, is well known and almost universally loved. Folks outside the South may mispronounce his name, but they know him and think he is about the coolest mascot around.
Ugas have been to the white house, Heisman ceremonies, starred in full length feature films, and even graced the cover of sports illustrated (best college mascots).

Buck Cochran….in true form, another post about Matthew Stafford when he has nothing at all to do with the topic of conversation! You should seriously call Damon Evans and inquire about changing the name of the team to “Matthew Stafford and the Georgia Bulldogs”. Even if you do have the greatest QB in UGA history coming back, you forget that you have receivers who don’t like to catch the ball and a JUCO filled OL. Your chances of watching Matthew Stafford and the Georgia Bulldogs winning the SEC east much less an SEC title very small. You basically have to hope that UT and UF don’t show up for any games this year. There are 2 losses in conference right there. And let me remind you….UF has won 15 of 17 and UT hung half a hundred on you…IN YOUR OWN STADIUM!! How do you get whipped like that with Matthew Stafford at QB?

According to you, our chances of winning the SEC or SEC East next year are “very small”.
How about admitting that you said the same thing prior to our two SEC title seasons and our SEC East win. Just admit it, you know you did.
Based on Richt’s history, you have only a 50% chance of being correct this season that we will not be playing for the conference title the dome. Almost as good as betting on Red or Black in roulette.

I keep getting a scary picture of a creepy old man in a room with the walls all filled with Stafford posters, pictures, and newsclippings.
Cochran, dude, you do realize that you were not the one who went down to Texas and found the Stafford kid when he was in the sixth grade, right? Or were you? Even scarier! That’s how deep this stalker relationship is, isn’t it?

The news out of Alabama since jolly ole St. Nick Saban made his choice to move DOWN in coaching 250 miles North and 90 miles West from LSU to Tuscaloosa has been non-existent.
Except Auburn is hyping Brandon Cox as great in the Spring A-Day Game last Saturday. Auburn has their usual slates of CUPCAKE CITY, as Tommy Tuberville does this up-coming season once again starting with cupcake Kansas State, cupcake South Florida, cupcake Mississippi State and cupcake New Mexico State and try to hide cupcake Tennessee Technical Institute late in the season as well. Auburn will not confuse me with the news of their Spring Game being that now all of a sudden Brandon Cox is the best thing since sliced bread. Tubs simply has not had good quarterbacks come calling for the defensive wiz to make be great, and for all the talk about their salaries they pay their Offensive Coordinators, Auburn has not done diddle-e-squat throwing the football with a top-notch college quarterback. Not under Tubs in his now 9th uninspiring year on The Plains where Tubs does NOT have a Winning Record against Coach Richt and does NOT have a Winning Record in Bowl Games among other transgressions such as now an even Dozen Losses to teams with at least 6 Losses that season. Tubs has settled in on Al Borges, whom he hypes as so great after going through 4 Offensive Coordinators in 4 years, and frankly Al Borges did not get any production out of Brandon Cox last season, after preseason this time last year Auburn was picked to win the SEC and the SEC West Championship, neither of which did Al Borges and Brandon Cox accomplish, nor come close to accomplishing. I see no way that Auburn can beat Florida at the Swamp, then LSU at Baton Rouge, then Georgia at Georgia and then Alabama against Nick Saban with Brandon Cox as Al Borges’ Quarterback and these are the facts.
You see, with all these cupcakes early, cupcake city, Auburn will have a top won/loss record with a serious asterisk beside their early record and then, well we have Brandon Cox at the helm. Whoopee. Brandon Cox will ride the wave of hype from the Spring Game just completed until they began their season, after half a season of no opponent on the other side of the field for him to shine to start the season against. Then, fall on his face against the BEST CONFERENCE IN THE NATION IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL AGAIN THIS UP-COMING 2007-2008 SEASON.
Speaking of LSU being 250 miles South and 90 miles West of Tuscaloosa, and Tubs finding that GUARANTEED WIN every year, LSU also has its usual cupcake city road to hoe as well AGAIN this season, as LSU does EVERY season as out-of-conference, like Auburn, LSU once again hosts Middle Tennessee Girls college, Too Lame, and Louisiana ain’t got no Technical College. At least they play Virginia Tech whom UGA just destroyed in our last game I attended two months ago. LSU does NOT play Georgia BuLLDawgs nor Tennessee vols this season, ducking us both while UGA plays Alabama and Auburn from the West for example.
By BuLLdawg
March 31, 2007 4:11 AM | Link to this
And, Georgia plays besides both Alabama and Auburn from the West this season, Georgia Tech who was the ACC Coastal Champion, in that DOWN CONFERENCE last year, a very tough battle against a really explosive Oklahoma State as our opener on National TV, Steve Spurrier and South Carolina who has his own boys there by now, Tennessee, and Defending National Champion Florida down there in Jacksonville where we have recruited 3 players from over the entire last decade in total. Of course, we would have won that game were it not for the 4 turnovers by our Quarterback losing then by a lone score.
This remains the key for UGA this up-coming season, that this must end losing to the likes of Kentucky and Vandie again this season while sitting here BRAGGING that our QB was ready last season against this SEC slate plus tough game after game out-of-conference opponents we were supposed to lose to last season such as Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, and don’t forget the AJ-C nincompoops said we would lose to UAB or potentially would and would lose to Colorado, the AJ-C said before the season started in their pre-season analysis of UGA being 7-6, not 9-4.
Of course I said 10-3, but then again who in the name of hell figured we would lose to both Kentucky and Vandie on home-coming no less AND then turn around and BEAT Tommy Tuberville. Well, no one in their right mind would have suggested that to begin the season last year looking at our strong offensive line, running backs, veritable plethora of 6 in a row recruited Top 10 Rivals Quarterbacks on the roster one of whom obviously should NOT have given up his 5th Redshirt Senior All-America Year for that BS last year of 13 interceptions to 7 TD passes and 10 fumbles 6 lost against just 3 rushing TDs, given that Willie Martinez has put a Top 10 Defense out there every single year without a Defensive Interior Line until obviously last season for the 1st time in the Coach Richt Era. I mean our secondary was also stout and we had great leadership on the special teams needing only to improve on kickoff returns and holding on to the football on punts, both of which we did do.
**It was a tough year last year, and the ONLY poll to rank UGA in the Top 25 was the all important Final AP Poll, leaving us standing alone in the last entire Decade in a Row now as the ONLY Program ranked every single year in the Final AP Poll 10 years running.
This will be the 11th Consecutive Year. I was disappointed in the entire class from last year being Redshirted except for one undeserving player who was totally not ready obviously all season long with his 23 turnovers to 10 TD including rushing and passing. And, it took a horrible toll in recruiting this year that none of the top players from last season’s stellar class got one damn minute of playing time on what ended up being a 9-4 rebuilding year. It should have been a reloading year.
So we have a hungry bunch of BuLLDawg puppies wanting to take over this season, or in UGA’s case, after he doesn’t lead the team onto the field for his 10th and final year. And, if UGA VI can win this season, he will be the ONLY UGA to have been ranked every single solitary season in the Final AP Poll.
But, by God, can we not lose to Vandie and Kentucky with a no show Quarterback who did NOTHING against either AND BEAT Florida, given the hole we put ourselves in in their backyard ?

BuLLGators cupcake: Kansas State, a team that beat #4 Texas.
BuLLGators strong opponent: Okie State, a team that lost to “cupcake” K-State and other nonranked teams Houston and Texas Tech.
I’m going to take a wild guess and say that if we were playing K-State and Auburn was playing Okie State, the “cupcake” would be Okie and the “strong opponent” would be K-State.
I also find it interesting that he bashes LSU and Auburn for playing lousy out of conference schedules when we do exactly the same thing and so does every team in the SEC not named the Vawls.
Best quote of all: At least they play Virginia Tech whom UGA just destroyed in our last game I attended two months ago. LSU does NOT play Georgia BuLLDawgs nor Tennessee vols this season, ducking us both while UGA plays Alabama and Auburn from the West for example.
Wow, I must be thinking of a different game, I thought we were down 21-3 at the half and only won by 7 due to a great comeback led by the best QB in the SEC this year and the best QB on our team last year as well. At least Richt had the courage to play the best QB last year, knowing that no All-America is staying for a 5th year, who knows how bad the year would have been with one of the others behind center? I’m also impressed at LSU’s skill in “ducking” us and our courage to play Auburn and (weak) Alabama. I didn’t realize we had control over that, and if they do why didn’t they use their secret power to duck the national champs? Or maybe we ducked LSU to play nobody Alabama? Please explain.

I-Dog, according to Georgia sports, both Bailey and Kenneth Harris caught a long ball to score, still I haven’t heard anything bout MoMass. Moreno broke a long one but fumbled. Over all CMR appears pleased with the teams progress. The “D” is making some good stops and the “O” is really beginning to take shape. Getting use to the way Bobo wants thing done on “O” and knowing who the QB is are making a big difference this Spring.

.4. Southern Cal.

Are ANY of these teams ALL RANKED AHEAD OF TEXAS coming back to you now ?
Kansas State lost to BAYLOR BEARS, KANSAS JAYHAWKS, Nebraska, Louisville, and MISSOURI. I presume you think that Baylor Kansas AND Missouri are what ? Great football teams too ? Like Kansas State ?
Kansas State, Good Lord.
WISCONSIN is one of the few teams in America who played an EASIER CUPCAKE STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE in football than Kansas State.
http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/Internet/toughest%20schedule/ia9gamescumm.pdf
Wisconsin Number 78 SOS and Kansas State Number 56 SOS.
Kansas State’s other wins were against Marshall, Florida Atlantic and Illinois State, whom Kansas State beat by 1 point.
Beat Illinois State by 1 point. I presume Illinois State is what ? Number 5 in the Final AP Poll that Kansas State beat ?
Kansas State’s Record against such cupcakes as they and Wisconsin plays over the last 3 years is 16 Wins and 19 Losses, LOSING RECORD for 3 consecutive years now. So, since when is THIS not a cupcake ?
http://football.stassen.com/cgi-bin/records/fetch-team.pl?team=Kansas_State
12-19 last 3 consecutive years playing Illinois State, Florida Atlantic and losing to teams such as Baylor Bears, Missouri and Kansas Jayhawks all just last year Losses.
Kansas State LOST SIX (6) games last year against this Number 56 Strength of Schedule and you think that is NOT a cupcake ?

The Georgia Institute of Technology is ON PROBATION 2007 for Major NCAA Infractions Database in FOOTBALL, as Tech has been for the last three (3) consecutive years, not that anyone at the AJ-C has even mentioned it once.
And, that yellowjacket’s bee mascot is gay.
It’s funny how Tech fans adjust their glasses and say, oh Tech is JUST AS GOOD AS GEORGIA and then compare Quarterbacks as equal now that our best player on Tech’s Team, Reggie Ball, is gone and that both Georgia and Tech are great.
Tech was not ranked in ANY POLL in football last year, and Georgia for the 10th Consecutive Year is ranked in the Final AP Poll.

Yes, I am a UGA grad and have nothing better to do than knock my school. Makes about as much sense as 99% of your posts. Maybe you have nothing better to do than to prop the Gators, the school you secretly root for. My only point is that we play a lousy out of conference schedule, and you are propping up a team that lost last year to a team you’re slamming. Not 5 five years ago like your meaningless stats. If you’re pointing to 27 vs 41 recruiting rankings for last year’s class most of whom will not even be on the field it shows how desparate you are. How can last year’s recruiting be a direct indicator of how good they are this year? Ridiculous even by your standards.
Your agenda is to prop up UGA’s strength of schedule no matter who they play. I bring up facts that show it is not good and you can’t handle it. Instead of talking about a game 5 years ago, why don’t you bring up that K-State beat Okie State last year or that K-State had a better in-conference record last year. No you’d rather post that Okie State has Barry Sanders in 1988 so they are clearly better. Again, I don’t know how many times I have to say this, I post and you quote and you still distort it, I did not say K-State is good, but neither is Okie State, and to slam a team for playing one and not the other is moronic. What do I have to gain by saying this? I wish we did play a tough out of conference schedule, but we don’t and you need to stop dreaming that we do. At least we didn’t scedule Georgia Southern or Arkansas State this year, we have been known to do that in the past. Maybe your next mindless rant should be about how good Western Carolina and Troy are.
By BadgerDawg

Oklahoma State Western Carolina Troy Georgia Tech
The only way to spin this as tough is to make Okie State look better than they are. It also helps to slam the competition who plays a comparable opponent by accusing them of playing a nobody(Kansas State). The only problem with that are little facts like who actually won the game between them last year. If our toughest nonconference opponent is a team that lost to Houston, K-State, and Texas Tech last year, finished with a losing conference record, and barely beat an Alabama team that (like Okie State) had no business being in a bowl game, then we are not playing a tough nonconference schedule. Nice try, Gator wannabe, it’s not working.

Gen, I’m not backing off my original OSU pick, but I can’t say I feel good about it right now. But the team that shouldn’t have won managed to play the game of their lives in the football version of this matchup, so anything’s possible. IF Oden’s not in foul trouble, they’ll pull it off. I just don’t know if he can stay out of trouble with two quick bigs like the Gators have. I will say this, Noah and Hortford haven’t faced anyone remotely close to Oden, either, so I guess it goes both ways.
