We were delayed due to an FAA system problem this morning from DCA to ATL. Pilot thought it was going to be at least an hour on the taxiway before he had more info, but ended up only being a 45 minute delay. Kudos to the Delta crew for keeping us informed, making immediate decision to let us use phones, etc. and passing out water. They were on top of things immediately, even though it only ended up being a minor disruption.

I’m currently 30-40 minutes delayed from Jacksonville to Atlanta. We were initially told that the FAA issue wouldn’t affect our flight. Now they just stated that there is a ground stop in Atlanta. Who knows when I’ll get home?

Only landed about 10 minutes late today but that is because of the pouring rain at the airport. Pretty bumpy ride coming in. As usual, Flight Attendants and Pilots on our Delta flight did an outstanding job. Flight Attendants for finishing up the service quickly and Pilots for landing in that mess.

My husband is on Delta 923 at LaGuardia - they boarded them at 3.55 (was supposed to take off at 3.55) telling the passengers that the “glitch” was not causing any problems for them — he is still sitting at Gate 1 at LGA….they are supposed to leave now at 5.55 but ATL just issued a complete ground stop….

My Airtran flight to Pensacola was scheduled to leave at 2:28. We boarded and sat there for 2 hours. Initially we were told we would leave within an hour or so but then later our captain came back and told us no planes were being given priority to take off so we just continued to sit. Since I live in ATL I asked to get off the plane and will try it again tomorrow. I’m back home now and happy to be here!

I am in the Atlanta airport waiting to board what was a 4:45 pm flight to Augusta, now departing at 7:10 pm. (So far.) I signed up online for the flight notifications, and as is usually the case with Delta, flight notifications seem to just stop after 5 pm. I discovered my last-minute gate change by appearing in the terminal last provided to me and looking at the board. My original flight was cancelled, and this one was scheduled to leave at 6:45 pm. Could have been a better experience. My feet hurt!

I was scheduled to fly out of CVG (Kentucky) Airport to Atlanta at 3 pm on Tue afternoon. We boarded the plane and were delayed for 30 mins. We then taxied on the runway and the pilot then informed us there would be a 90 minute delay due to the ‘glitch’ in Atlanta. We went back to the gate and waited. After the 90 mins we were then delayed for another hour +. We finally flew out of CVG at 8:15 pm. What a day!

I was in Pittsburgh waiting on my flights when I saw on CNN at a bar, that there were major flight issues. I immediately went to the US Airways Service Desk and nobody there knew anything. They made numerous phone calls until they could get details. I was amazed that I had to alert the airline there. I was traveling back home for business but never made it because our connecting flight to DC was originally a flight coming in from Boston that was affected. Now I’m stuck at a hotel outside of DC’s Ronald Reagan Airport. Hopefully I’ll make it back to Dallas, TX tomorrow morning.

we had a forty minute delay out of Portland Maine and barely made our 5:15 flight to Melbourne Florida. The Pilot came on and said ” I do not know how but we got a permission to push back. But it will be another matter to get clearance to take off I will keep you updated.” When we came out of the pushback their was the longest line I have ever witnessed to take off at atl. The pilot came on again and said, ’ ladies and gentlemen their are 52 planes in line waiting for permission to take off…they are waiting for a flight plan to take off…we do not know how but we have ours and are number 1 for take-off somebody back their must know someone.” we took off 3 minutes earlier and were 20 minutes early into Melbourne. I love Delta! bob
