El Paso, anyone?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A reader contacted me Tuesday asking for information on planning a trip to El Paso, a place I’ve never been. I referred him to the El Paso convention and visitors bureau Web site, but it occurred to me someone reading this could be more helpful. If you’ve been to El Paso or used to live there, what tips could you give Mike on where to stay, where to dine, what to see?

I’m planning our summer getaway — a 3- or 4-week trip through the Northeastern states. We’re debating whether to pack our usual camping gear or to rent/borrow/buy a pop-up camper. Occasionally we’ll stay with friends or in hotels (like around Washington and New York). My question is this: Are we going to find it difficult and/or uncomfortable to camp in the crowded Northeast? We want to visit both historic sites and spend some time on the coast and in the mountains. If anyone’s been there/done that I’d like to hear from you.
