Should Caroline Kennedy have withdrawn?

Caroline Kennedy has withdrawn her bid to be appointed U.S. Senator from New York.

Her campaign began with popular support but withered quickly over criticism about her experience and her reluctance to answer questions about her finances.

“I informed Governor Paterson today that for personal reasons I am withdrawing my name from consideration for the United States Senate,” she said in the one-sentence statement.

Do you think she did the right thing?

Do you think she was treated unfairly by the press?

Would she have made a good senator?
