Save me from another gadget, esp. a new-fangled phone: It’s one more opportunity for people to be rude - taking calls at inappropriate times and having loud conversations anywhere, anytime. For that matter, it’s another oppty for people to listen to a headset rather than interacting with other people. Bah!

Although I will buy the latest gadget first, then check my account balance later….I’m not sure an ipod/cellphone would be practical enough for me. I love my ipod though. -Donnie

This is far from a new idea. I’ve been carrying a Samsung i730. A complete PC that plays music, video, surfs the web, has a QWERTY keyboard. Nothing new here but the white case.

I just bought a 60gig iPod Photo.. I’m in no hurry at all. Plus, I’m happy with Sprint, so I’m certainly not changing providers for a phone. Speaking of iPods, have you seen iPod Nano? Apparently Mini is a thing of the past.

This phone will be the reason I switch providers from Nextel/Sprint to Cingular.
FINALLY, a phone provider that ‘lets’ me take my songs and put them in MY phone, and even use them as ringtones! Goodbye $2 a song! Hello “Sweet Home Alabama” ringtone!

No way am I going to get one of these phones. The new Nanopod is wicked and if someone feels the need to steal it from me I can use my -seprate- phone to call the cops. The idea of having two different types of info (audio AND phone info) in one deviceonly becomes a disadvantage if you are to lose or have the device stolen. Alot of folks could prolly live without thier phone, or thier tunes, but both might coming up missing might really drive some people over the edge…

Another case of technology convergence coming to pass. How far away is the Dick Tracy wristwatch from becoming a reality?

No, I won’t be buying one of these toys, and I will resent having to explain to an overzealous commissioned salesperson why I don’t want one. When I switched cellphone providers last year and had to buy a new phone, it was nearly impossible to get the salesperson to understand that I simply wanted a phone. No games, no camera, just a phone. It is getting more difficult to find a phone that doesn’t have a camera in it. Now with this thing in the mix, every manufacturer is going to be rushing to market with MP3 players that are just as good as the iPhone… Simply put, I wish there were fewer choices in their model lines. I just want a convenient phone in my pocket that works.

As soon as my contract run out with another carrier, I plan to change to Cingular for the capability of working with Apple products.

Do I want one? Like I want a new car! Oh god, do I want a new car. But if you are going to be having some type of contest and giving them away, if I won, I would sell it at the drop of a hat. The way things are financially for me right now, I’d have no choice. There is absolutely no way that I afford to pay any type of tax on the prize, much less pay the monthly service charges.
