This spam can literally kill you
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
I’d guess that at least half the spam I receive is from various online pharmacies offering to sell Viagra or pain killers. A person doesn’t have to be a genius to figure that these places are a little seedy. But the story linked here offers facts to back that up.
Based on the story, there are three major risks:
Online security is bad to non-existent at these places so you could end up getting hacked.
Since the people running these sites are probably not candidates for man of the year awards, the notion of them having your credit card number should not fill a person with joy.
Some of the drugs being sold aren’t legit - and that could kill you.
Not exactly what the doctor ordered.

A few of you mentioned earlier that the the Q&A column was no longer being posted. I promised to check into it and (I think, grin) we’re back in business. You should start seeing that column online on a regular basis now.

Fixing the Q&A column was probably low on someone’s list of things to do. A squeaking wheel does sometimes seem to bump priorities. :-) Patrick
