Paris Hilton in PC World magazine (honest)

My gosh a mercy - Paris Hilton made PC World magazine. Will a centerfold follow?

I’ve been reading the magazine a long time and have enjoyed technical articles on video cards and have learned the most intricate details about new chips there.

So I didn’t expect to see this - a story about Paris Hilton.

The story talks about the use of her My Space account to create a petition asking for special treatment - keeping her out of jail on a drunk driving charge.

Who knows what I’ll find next, maybe a review of the chip war between Intel and AMD in People magazine.

Come on people don’t you know that when you’re rich you’re above the laws that common people must follow? Clearly these laws were meant to keep the non-rich in order. Paris needs to stay out of jail so she can keep inspiring my mundane life while I sit in traffic on I-75 each day. I mean, without her inspiring me I would have killed myself a long time ago.

ANYONE who drives under the influence more than once in such a short time period deserves jail time. Might do her some good.

Our society is really sick to make someone famous merely because they are a spoiled rotten rich kid!

I hope she gets raped in prison and stabbed in the neck.

I’m so sick of wealthy people who have no socal responsibility or redeeming value, celebrities who have no talent and medie w******* who are famous for no reason.

Heather,

Nope on that computer usage. Remember when her Blackberry got hacked. All her rich and uptight friends had to change their phone numbers.

I wish people like her would simply go away.

I just cancelled the remainder of my PC World subscription. There are numerous other sources for the kind of technical insight and information for which that magazine was once renowned. I doubt they’ll feel any pain from the loss of my subscription, but if they’ve lowered their standards to the point of focusing on a mindless piece of self-centered flesh like Paris Hilton as an example of the MySpace phenomenon, they’re nowhere near what I expect for my money.

You have to be kidding me. Ths woman can’t even put gas in her 400K Bentley. She has to have someone do it for her. I bet there are enough star worshippers out there that if she would ask they would do the time for her. Idiots!I hope she enjoys jail.

Why shouldn’t she serve her sentence in jail? Is it just because she’s a celebrity? “Ordinary” citizens have had to go to jail for the same type of charge, so why should she get any special treatment. I think that celebrities get away with far too much compared to the rest of us. What makes them immune to receiving the same punishment as everyone else. After all, they’re just regular people who happen to hit it lucky. I certainly don’t think she has been setting a good example for her younger fans to follow. And yes, she’s lucky she didn’t have an accident and hurt or kill someone. The whole celebrity bunch needs to come down off their pedestal and realize they are regular human beings just like everyone else and keep in mind that we are the ones that put them in the position they are in today, which the exception of those that were born into money. And know that money does not make the person. Her parents must be so proud as I’m sure the Spears parents are. Obviously people in her fan club have some of their own issues. They need to come back down to the real world.

Are all of you people so bored with your pathetic lives that you have to trash talk Paris Hilton? I agree that she should remain in jail because she did do something wrong, but why talk bad about her when she has done NOTHING to any of you. Hate her because she is rich and beautiful if you want, but don’t post stuff that you shouldn’t be saying because you really have no right to say anything bad about her.

Beautiful? There is absolutely nothing beautiful about a coke snorting, spoiled chick. Man, even her voice annoys me..it sounds like a dying cat when she whines.

The really sad thing about all this is that the IDIOTS of our society, Emily how are you today ding-bat; buy into this white trash with money as being important in todays world. I am glad she got jail time, I hope she has a few scary moments in jail to teach her what the real world is about. Her parents are trash, look at her mom, total trash. She did a table dance for her father in a club once, can you get any lower? Look at all the news that trainwreck of a mess Anna Nicole Smith got from her drug overdose. Wow, the world really lost a mental giant when that cow kicked the bucket. We have magazines reporting that Nicloe Richey appears to be eating? WTF? Who cares if she sticks her scrawny finger down her throat fifty times a day and vomits something she ate in the third grade, if she wants to starve, let her. We pay attention to these fools and really good young people in the world go without notice. Again, Emily my dear little air head…how are you today?

Emily, run on down to Buford Highway dearie and buy you a knock off designer bag with matching knock off over sized sunglasses and strut around like you’re really somebody and you too can be a celebrity wannabe. Even with all her hair extentions, designer clothes and surgeries, Paris is still as plain as dirt. On any given day the streets of Atlanta holds a thousand women much more beautiful than Paris Hilton. Yes, you are correct, she is wealthy. Wealth made from…well, girls not too terribly bright Emily, girls like you.

She and the rest of the celebrities need to go to jail just like the rest of us,I’ll promise you you’ll never get as many chances as they do.If my sister showed her vagina she’d be arrested for indecent exposure”I hope” but in Hollywierd it’s ok. Emily, we do have the right to say bad things about her, we have freedom of speach and the things people are saying about Paris are true she truely is a particle of excretementand should be in jail.

Emily…your an idiot. Do I have a right to say that? Anyone has a right to say anything they want, even yell fire in a crowded theatre. Will there be consequences for that act, you betcha. but no one will shut anyones mouth with force, unless your a judge in a courtroom. Emily, you commie piece of filth, don’t ever say someone does not have the right to open their mouth and say whatever it is they want.

If you look at the numbers on television viewing, newpaper and magazine subscriptions, the people ARE speaking out…with our dollars. We’re sick to death of Hollywood (except for the few decent movies that come out maybe twice a decade). We’re sick of the media telling us what to think, believe, wear, say, do, etc. And we’re horribly sick of the me-ism that pervades the industry. More and more, folks are moving away from TV, talk-radio, and the press and finding interesting, fun things to do on our own. I’ve noticed my friends are buying more fiction books and music and making their own entertainment again. And a whole heckuva lot of them are playing outside and getting to know each other again. It’s time to turn off the media and reintroduce ourselves to one another…the REAL people.

It’s a movement folks. I’ve seen this coming for a while now. Keep it up! We’re using our voices in the form of dollar bills and NON-viewing/listening/reading time.

Tough noogies AJC, NBC, CBS, HBO, etc.

I think to tell the judge that you have people to read your mail is pretty irresponsible. She should get jail time just for stupidity. Did she think the judge was going to say “oh in that case, the case is dismissed, you can go home”? I would think even a box of rocks would know if your license are suspended you can’t drive.
