Fear of fire results in Dell battery recall

Now let me see if I understand this.

You can’t take a bottle of water on an airline now, but - as far as I know - you can take a Dell laptop computer that might burst into flames.

Welcome to 2006.

Here’s the Dell Web page that lets you determine if your battery was one of the 4.1 million recalled.

Now theres some food for thought,it seems to me that if you are allowed to carry a laptop that could burst into flames or explode at any moment, that it would be nice to have a bottle of water to put it out with.
