Thanks for nothing, Nick

Up until the point that your Crimson Tide team let Lousiana-Monroe take their lunch money in a 21-14 mugging, the Music City Bowl in Nashville was angling for a match up between Tech and Bama.

That possibility had been flying around Tech message boards for the better part of the week. That would have been a ton of fun!

We knew that if GT and Bama both won their games this past weekend, we were pretty much assured a New Year’s trip to Nashville … regardless of the outcome of the Georgia game … worst case scenario.

We took care of business. You let us down. Maybe they should ship your team off to San Francisco eh?

Clean Old Fashioned Hate

The game this weekend is not only for bragging rights now … it’s for the seniors, it’s to end the drought, it’s to end UGA’s BCS hopes, and it’s to keep our guys on this side of the Mississippi so that we can enjoy another road game and cheer for the white and old gold once more before the season is over.

More to come as the week progresses …

Wow, a GT fan bashing an SEC team for a loss that shouldn’t have been. That’s funny, I don’t care who you are. Maybe if Tech took care of business in the ACC you wouldn’t have to worry about what team in another conference is doing. I know, I am a Dawg fan and in the same”need someone else to win” scenario, only UGA’s aspirations are a little higher. What am I doing trying to talk logic with a bunch of insects???? What I really wanted to say is to hell with GT, but please do not fire Chan, he really is a good person. Long live the FOC!

Gailey’s bad, but at least we aren’t paying him $4M a year for a mediocre season. Wonder why we haven’t heard from the poster named Bama in the least 3 weeks? If I remember correctly, earlier in the year he came on our blog talking a lot of smack. I warned him then - Bama is no longer a relevant football power. I pointed out that their record over the last 10 years is worse than Tech’s. But after the Arkansas game he was convinced that Saban had them “back”. I hope Auburn beats them by 5 touchdowns. I am watching Saban’s meltdown on ESPN right now where he compares losing to ULM to Pearl Harbor. It is hilarious stuff!

Now let’s move on to serious business. I can’t see any way we beat the dogs without them absolutely choking, and Bennett having a better day than he had in the Gator Bowl. I am afraid our Chantastic game plan will keep it close until halftime, and then their size and depth will wear us out. Prediction (as much as it pains me to say) is that UGA will win 42-17. Please someone convince me that I am wrong!

If we do lose to UGA and lose the Emerald Bowl, it is obvious that Chan will be sent packing. Let’s be serious with the potential coaching replacements – we aren’t getting a high profile coach with all of the big time jobs that are, or will soon be open. It seems to me that we will need to think outside the box.

I don’t like the idea of hiring coordinators like Tenuta or Fisher. I want someone with head coaching experience. Chris Hatcher isn’t ready and wouldn’t leave GSU after only one year. If he did, he would leave us just as quick when something better came along. Peterson couldn’t be swayed to leave Boise State last year, so I doubt we would have any chance getting him this year. I believe the same holds true of the coaches at Rutgers and South Florida. I don’t want O’Leary back – he is just as responsible for our current situation as Gailey.

I have a suggestion – what about Dan Reeves? He is a Georgia boy, a good coach, and does a fair job at dealing with the public (something Gailey has never mastered).

Downsides – he is older than dirt and may not want to come out of retirement. He has health issues. We probably can’t offer him enough money. He is good friends with Gailey and may not want to take over his job. What do y’all think?

Please don’t write about us again. It’s too painful. Talk about the Ugagers after all, they’re terrific and we’re just dog meat…..our coach our team our record. Just leave us alone and let us finish ourselves in SFC. What a treat. I’m going to bed

91 Wreck, are you freaking kidding me? Dan Reeves is just like Chan. Both are boring and don’t belong in college coaching. I think Fisher would do a good job coaching and bringing in better players, which is what we need to compete with the big schools we play. Also the coach at Texas Tech would be a good fit. Look at what he does with less talent each year. And his offense is exciting to watch. He would put the fans back in the stands. I want Chan to be fired after the Georgia game, but I would like to see Tenuta stay. He is a good coach that the players like to play for.

gtfan28 -

Yeah, I like the coach at Texas Tech as well - as long as he keeps a commitment to playing defense. You’re probably right about Reeves - I just don’t know that we will get a guy that everybody else thinks is a great coach.

I don’t think Tenuta can make it as the HC. He and Chan have the same problem - they don’t know how to suck up to the media and the high profile (and big dollar contributing) alumni.

We can say what we want about Richt, but he is only a decent field general. He is a GREAT recruiter and a fantastic PR guy. When the Dawg nation complained about him showing too little emotion, look how he responded during the UF and AU games. He is a master of giving the people what they want.

Gailey can’t do it, and neither can Tenuta.

Tech fans, when you’re watching your team get taken to the woodshed yet again this Saturday just remember one thing. All those guys with G’s on their helmets will be back next year and most of them the year after that. hahahahahahahaha…Have fun in your crap bowl. I might watch it if I’m not washing my hair or something.

talk all the smack you want UGA fans. But realize this. The last good running team you played ran it down your throats while singing Rocky Top. So think again before you start talking all the smack. This isn’t going to be a cake walk for Georgia.

Everyone, let’s face it. The best player on Muttland’s team is now gone, and their best coach is now the OC at Miami. In that time, Muttland has 34, 19, 14, and 15 points against us.

We have lost 4 games this year. BC and VT were better than us, but did not blow us out. We drop a punt to UVA and miss a FG against UMD.

As for Muttland, Florida and Auburn both layed down for them. USC outcoached them and UT skunked them. I guess I should be impressed, but I am not.

We want this game more than they do this year. So let’s get it done.

UGA bloggers: you sure seem to be spending a lot of time dogging on GT, a team you seem to think you will crush. Hmmmmmmm… we’ll see on Saturday. It took a fluke fumble recovery for the mighty dawgs to win last year. Maybe it will happen again. Who knows?

Moreno could run for 300 yards against Tech. Or, Stafford could pass for 500 yards against Tech. The only reason BOTH won’t happen is because Richt will be substituting like crazy by the start of the 4th quarter. Tech will go 3-and-out 6 straight times to start the game and it will be 35-0 at the half. This is going to be a beating of legendary proportions. BUT IT’S ALL WORTH IT TO GET RID OF CHAN!!!!

It doesn’t matter if we win or not, Chan is gone. Contrary to what TDone stated, we did get blown out by VT, and that blowout, the empty seats and loud boos were all DRad needed to convince him that a change is necessary.

I think this game will be close, because of the seniors and our excellent special teams. But you never know with Chan. He decides to pass when we have the lead and the ball at our own 7 yard line and he runs the ball with no time outs and 30 seconds left when we need a field goal to win. And those are just examples from last week. He could have the team so down that he bookends his career with the 2nd worst defeat in the history of the rivalry.

TDone are you kidding me? Are you really trying reason that your LOSSES to UVA and MD are better than our WINS over Auburn and Florida? Listen I don’t believe in talking smack to you techies on game week, mostly because its like telling your sister she’s fat, she already knows it why rub it in?

This UGA/Tech matchup could possibly get real ugly. If Tenuta blitzes every down against this UGA offense Moreno and Stafford will make him pay dearly.

So I guess that means that in that period you sissies have 17, 13, 7, and 12. 51-7 ring a bell idiot boy? If it doesn’t you’ll get your memory refreshed Saturday. Enjoy the massacre little girl.

Washing your own hair? Really, now…Can’t you just get your owners to add a shampoo and flea dip when they take you to PetSmart for your NEUTERING?

And can’t you find something a little more UNIQUE than Obnoxious Georgia Fan? You lose your identity (probably a good thing) with that since you put yourself in a group that exceeds the total population of the state of Georgia, with thousands of representatives in every state.

How about: Obnoxious LegHumper, ButtSniffer & BallLicker? Never be afraid of who you really are…
