Where’s the love?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Tech hasn’t been shown much love this week.
First, ABC chose Clemson-FSU (not even a Bowden Bowl anymore) for its 3:30 p.m. regional telecast over Tech-UNC, a game matching the ACC’s highest-ranked teams. (B.C.-Notre Dame previously had been set for Sat. night). I’m assuming FSU equals higher ratings in the Southeast.
So Tech, which just beat FSU and Clemson, plays at noon for the fifth time this season and is on Raycom again.
Then on Monday, Jonathan Dwyer fails to win the ACC’s offensive back of the week award. It went to C.J. Spiller, who definitely was deserving. But it’s hard to believe that Dwyer — who has six 100-yard rushing games and 8 TDs — has not won once this season. All he did Saturday was run for 145 yards and two scores on just 13 carries.
Dwyer leads the ACC in yards per carry (6.5) and ranks second in yards per game (99.9), just behind Maryland’s Da’Rel Scott (102.6). Dwyer has 899 rushing yards.
Voting is done by 12 media members, one covering each team, after the schools send nominations to the ACC office. (The AJC is not among those 12 voters).
So what’s going on here?

We can’t get any love here. Tony B. and the rest of the AJC think the only college football around here is played in the SEC. Do the research.

If GT wins this week, the Miami game will receiva alot of national attention. The intangibles are not good for Saturday….injuries, UNC with a week off, etc. Need the D to dig deep against a good UNC offense (look at BC game). Hope for a close win around 24-21 and then rest up for Miami “white out” game. It will be biggest game on the Flats since O’Leary.

Larry, It is hard to believe that Dwyer hasn’t gotten that recognition. Averaging over 10 a carry like he did Saturday against FSU is awfully impressive.
As for the TV coverage, I’m a little surprised that Clemson v. FSU was so appealing without the Bowden Bowl angle.
While GT has been under the radar for much of the year, it feels like UNC has been even more invisible, despite a strong record to date. I’m really worried about this game. The injuries in the secondary and the offense (particularly without Gardner’s leadership in there), the fact that Butch Davis and team have had a bye week to bone up on the option and rest up.
This would be such a pivotal win for the jackets if we can get it. At the risk of provoking m, I’m sure glad we have CPJ leading us into Chapel Hill.
On a different note, I’m not a fan of the whiteout plan for Miami. Did we really need this? Did the players really want it or is it a way to sell a lot of white sweatshirts for a Thursday night game?

Ramble On,
The award is voted on by the entire media, not just the AJC. The reason networks will not pick up the game is because we can not sell out our own stadium and create no following. May not be what we want to hear but it is the truth.

The media may not realize what is happening on the flats. Chan Gailey is gone and mediocrity has gone with him. Tech has a very special coach and very special things are happening a lot sooner than most imagined. The future is so bright that we will all have to wear shades. Not surprising that the media is so slow to catch on. This would have happened a lot sooner if the worst mistake in the history of the world, which resulted in hiring the worst coach in the history of the world, and ended up destroying our beloved football program for 6 long unnecessary years. Thank God and Greyhound that Chan Gailey is gone FOREVER. Hallleeeedamloooyah.

Malibu - I agree with you on the “white out”. Is this just a lame attempt by the athletic department to sell additional merchandise? Didn’t we learn anything from watching the “black out” debacle in Athens earlier this year? We should be above this nonsense. Just put on your uniform, line up and play. I will be at the game and wearing GOLD.

I think its a vicious cycle. We haven’t had prime TV slots, so not many media types have seen us play. So we don’t get further prime TV slots. This also hurts us in all the “of the week” voting.
There is only 1 thing we can control, however. And that is our play on the field. We need to go beat UNC, and not worry much about anything else. Beat UNC and Miami, and everything will fall in place…

Tech82….when you have a plague of mediocrity for 6 long unnecessary years, it takes a little while to knock it ALL out completely. Thank God that the Gailey nightmare is over…the fact that we still have a few IDIOTS like you that liked the mediocrity is not going to hold back the Johnson train. Why don’t you move to Kansas City with Gailey so you don’t have to admire his mediocrity from afar?!?!. The bottom line is this….Gailey sucked and anyone that ever tolerated him or defended him in any way sucks just as bad as he does. Thank God and Greyhound that the worst coach in the history of the world is gone forever…even if there are a few fools that miss him.

I like the white out idea for an August or September game. It’s going to be a little chilly in late November and I am not going to go buy a white sweatshirt just for the game, burbon stains don’t come out easily. Wear several layers and you guys will be fine, take it from someone who grew up in New England.

I don’t really care about the “whiteout”.
I don’t care about the TV schedule.
I don’t care to know the “dawgs”.
I don’t care who the “media” thinks is the “player of the week”.
I care about Georgia Tech and GT football plain and simple. Most Tech alum are not into gimmicks. Just prepare, unite, execute, and win!
I will try and wear something white though if I have it. I probably won’t go out and buy something just for the occasion.

I don’t like the idea of the whiteout that much either, but just suck it up and wear white. Why? 1. White is an easy color to find so it isn’t that hard. 2. Show support for the team / AD in public (but feel free to drop a note to DRad that you don’t like the idea for the future). 3. Based on everyone’s reaction, this will be a one-time event.

Tech is a lot like the Falcons. A history of turmoil, transition, and……..losing. Well folks, that’s all changing isn’t it . Today, the Falcons are a BETTER team than the “Darlings” of the NFL, the Cowboys, and the Jackets are actually a better coached team than the “Darlings” of the state of Georgia, the Bullfrogs. Get used to it Georgia, there’s a couple of new Sheriffs in town. All the hype and hysteria in the world doesn’t produce a winner over in Athens Land. Unless they play one of the State Teachers Colleges on their pathetic schedule.

GT76 and addicted are exactly right. Just take care of things on the field, everything else will work itself out. Be upset if we could not watch the game at all. I think it was ‘04 or ‘05 when I had to hear the GT at UNC game over the radio, with Wes practically rooting for UNC! He should have gotten on the bus with Chan. Also, if for some reason the school decides it’s a white out, Tech82, wear white. Don’t be a d!ck. If the whole supporting body is not on the GT bandwaggon, how the hell do we expect the media to be? agt45 … interesting point about the burbon on white … still don’t know what to do about that one …

Tech82, mediocrity still rears its ugly head every now and then.
The G-W and UVA debacles didn’t turn out to be quite as embarrassing as first thought.
Most of the media quickly dismissed the G-W score to the fact that we were playing a third string QB.
The UVA game, while extremely frustrating to those of us who follow the program closely, was not an embarrassment. UVA is a D-1A opponent with a pretty good team. Weirder things (upsets) have happened all year, especially in the ACC.
The thing that is MOST encouraging is that CPJ has these kids playing hard and playing with enthusiasm, something that we hadn’t seen on the Flats for about 6 years of so. The players quickly sensed the difference.
Back to the topic, the networks (including ESPN) will sell their soul(s) for only one thing….RATINGS. They choose games based on which ones they think will draw a bigger national (or regional) audience.
ESPN has been down on the ACC all year. I’ve watched enough of their “Game Day” coverage and heard Fowler treat the ACC like a joke. The Clempson-Alabama debacle on the first weekend set a bad tone.
ESPN has selected certain programs and coaches from the conference as the marquee teams (FSU, Bowden, Miami, Clemson). With those programs going through down periods, they write off the whole conference as an afterthought.
I hate that JD isn’t getting the props for his play. He’s a good kid with pro type assets (size, speed, intelligence).
There’s also a bias against CPJ’s offense by those that are uninformed. It’s certainly not the “fun and gun.” Tech won’t be throwing the ball 50 times a game. I think that there’s a sense that high-flying, high-scoring offenses are more appealing to the general fan. Hard-running and tough defenses are more appealing to the hard-nosed fans, but not enough to prop up ratings.
The answer is “WIN”. If you keep winning, they can’t ignore you.

Mr. “SEC”,
Thanks for the encouraging words. You obviously put some thought into them (unlike some other Dawg or SEC linked bloggers).
It’s true that most of the players on the field Saturday were recruited while Gailey was HC. Not sure how much actual recruiting TCG ever did. Giff Smith got a lot of credit by supposed insiders.
The other side of the coin is that CPJ is winning with athletes (especially on offense) that really don’t fit his overall scheme. He’s having to coach QBs, offensive linemen, wide receivers, and running backs that were recruited for a pro-style offense…and doing a pretty good job of it. It will indeed be interesting to see what he does when he recruits kids that fit his system better.
It has also been noted that Tech has more freshmen and sophomores than any other team in the conference. We’ll take a hit on D-line with the graduations this year, but the rest of the team will only get better.

He is doing a little better this year but Kim King and now Jeff Van Note are really missed. We need Van Note back in the booth with Wes to break down the line play and this spred option offense; and we could move Rick Strom to the sidelines and get rid of Jeff Wolverton, who may have the worst radio voice I have ever heard. Also, he is not a Tech man or fan…he is a FSU fan. And, as always, Thank God and Greyhound that the worst coach in the history of the world is gone forever.

Between these blogs and the GT message boards, I am sooooooooo sick of hearing everyone complain about the white out. It’s too cold to wear white. I’m not buying a white sweatshirt. Tech fans don’t do gimmicks. We are just copying UGay. Shut up already with this nonsense. None of those excuses are valid, because none are true. Realize that this is what the players want. Remember, they are still kids and these kinds of things excite them and pump them up for the game. So, whether you agree or not, do what you are supposed to do and wear freakin’ white to the game. It’s that simple. It’s kind of like when your little girl comes up to you and says, “Daddy, can I put this make-up and lipstick on you?” Is it a good idea? No. Do you want to do it? No. Do you do it anyway? Yes. Why? Because it makes her happy. Go Jackets. THWG!

We have 3 oLinemen on the team, who were recruited to be linemen. We are about to loose one of them to surgery.
Our starting QB looked much better than our backup QB Saturday. Our starting QB got hurt…and hasn’t practiced sinse.
Our skill position players are all frosh and soph except one (hurt) Sr. Problematic…add to this that several of the young starters are now hurt.
We are ranked again…we didn’t handle being ranked last go round very well.
UNC is not a traditional power, but they are kicking a* all year, so we better play them like they are in first place…because they are.
This game has disaster potential alllll over it. It will be a hell of a challenge. We’ll need EVERY fan possible to show up and do whatever the team asks (white out). I don’t care much for a whiteout either, but if I don’t wear white just becaues I don’t like the idea…then I’m a pretty selfish fan. This is about TEAM…not about individuals.
GO JACKETS…THIS WILL BE THE TOUGHEST GAME YET THIS YEAR…PREPARE AND PLAY IT LIKE THAT AND WE CAN WIN…THE TEAM DESERVES IT…GO JACKETS!!!

I go to every home game and see people wearing green, purple, pink, and any other color that is not even close to gold. PTC DAWG - yeah, we know about the dawgs…let me see if I get this right:
year after year your recruiting is ranked 30-40-50 spots higher than Techs, but you don’t win it all.
year after year you are ranked highly in the polls, but don’t win it all.
year after year you get the benefit of being the big state school and the applicable casual fan, 95% academic exceptions for football players, 4 times our resources, etc…yet…you still don’t win it all.
year after year, you get more coverage and basically more of everything…but still…it’s just nevr enough for you to win it all
year after year…with every advantage possible for a football program…you still think it’s classy to try and verbally bully the clear underdog in the state. Get a life. Grow up. Quit being a bully. Learn to be a class act. You have very advantage, act like it. Win quietly and here’s one last tip…when you next score a touchdown against Florida…try not to act like it’s the first one you’ve ever scored. That really embarassed your team and fan base nationally…and oh…it seems to have motivated your rivals. So…the long and short of this message is…STFU already. How could anyone NOT know about the dogs, you b*** and complain more than any fan base on the planet…and you play Florida like a bunch of girls. You got your a* handed to you, because you were classless last year.
Now…I wouldn’t even be talking about uga right now, if you hadn’t opened your trap. See…you just stir up negativity when you boast and brag…the clear favorite should be quiet and win with class…but…that’s not uga style…maybe that’s why you guys still haven’t won it all since ten years before little GT has.
What an embarassment all the resources and recruiting is, when all you can do with it is beat up on the local underdog. And YOU think it’s worth bragging about. Classless.

However, your assertion that Wes Durham is not a fan of the program and should have left with Gailey shows just how much of a moron you truly are. “Wes” the things your talking about are the same challenges all the Major Sports Teams inside the perimeter have. The casual fan has a lot of choices in ATL.
Now, regarding the GT students and ALumns, we actually support our team financially and physically as much or more than any other fan base. The issue is numbers. Our school is a quarter the size of a football factory…our graduates get jobs far flung around the globe…and the casual fan either likes the big state school…or has a lot of other choices. Can we pack out the stadium consistently? In time perhaps…but…don’t for a minute hang the empty seats on the GT students or alumns. Falcons, Braves, Hawks, Thrashers, there are a lot of teams who ‘deserve’ to have a dedicated fan base who sells out the house every game…but it doesn’t happen for all of them all the time. It’s a transient city. Facts are facts. It’s too easy for you to make a broad statmement, without knowing what your talking about.

I thought, at the beginning of the year, the UNC game could be the biggest. And…it is! Coach, a few weeks ago, said he didn’t think a team with 2 losses would win the division. Now, he says if we end up with just 2 we have a good shot. I hope we win! 3 losses in the ACC will drop us in a last place tie with DUKE!!
Also, if you do go to the Miami game, pls wear WHITE regardless of what you think. We need solidarity. I do think this is cool but also that it should be in the warmer months and not a date when you might need to wear a coat.

Wearing white to the Miami game is an easy choice for me - I’m in the band.
To the people that are complaining about wearing white…. seriously? Very little is asked of you to begin with. Tickets are cheap, but it doesn’t seem like you’d buy one unless they were free. The least you could do is show up and be there early, but you can’t even do that (this is especially true for any of you who sit in the gold seats in the EAST stands… the last to arrive and the first to leave, I can’t stand you guys).
Here’s a quick link to a bunch of white stuff at the Ramblin’ Wreck Store: http://www.ramblinwreckstore.com/Default.aspx Lots of white stuff. Buy something. It’s really easy.
If you don’t show up to Bobby Dodd Stadium on the 20th wearing white, don’t ever show your face here again. You’re just a fair-weather fan. (Exception made if you’re in the SWARM.)

m, you simply must stop making remarks about Chan the Man. Yes, he destroyed our program, but the boy didn’t mean to - he just didn’t know what he was doing. With NFL thinking, he saw collegians as men who knew how to play, requiring little supervision. A 7-5 record was good, for in the NFL it might get you to the playoffs. Second-tier bowls? Well, a bowl is a bowl. Lost to UGA? Just a game, dog. Field goal, no TD? NFL wisdom. I trust this explanation will conclude Chan-bashing once and for all.

…..NOT Penn St. These gimmicks only look impressive when a stadium is full and for a Thursday night game the week before Thanksgiving? C’mon, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out. Would I prefer to have the entire stadium decked out in the same color? Sure. But I would rather have the stadium sold out with GT fans in Tie die shirts before resorting to this so called “white out” Game. To hell with the white out; just please invite everyone you know who to the game who will actually cheer for Tech.

The same team mom at UGA that came up with the “blackout” thing must also have a kid at Tech and also came up with “whiteout” idea. That stuff’s junior high and does NOT help win anything…ask the dawg fans how much it helped ‘em beat Bama.

The national media are still skeptical of the Jackets. Look at the record (from a distance): GT lost to VT on a helmet-to-helmet hit penalty, as well as some questionable strategy in the final few minutes; the Jackets blew a sizeable lead against UVA in their other loss; and it took a fumble near the goal line to pull out a win against FSU, who had two downs in which to punch in the winning score, or go for a tying field goal. Furthermore, the Jackets were barely able to hold off 1-AA Gardner-Webb.
By late November, Georgia’s record may be disappointing enough, too, that a win over the Bulldogs would carry less weight than it would have in recent years.
GT hasn’t earned the nationwide love yet.

What is it with Tek fans. you think just because you have Beorgia in your name that you should get the coverage that the DAWGS get?? Come on! you can’t even fill up Grant field. I remember when Tek actually took seats OUT of Grant field so you could fill the seats. If you had paid G. O’Leary what he was worth you would still be on the good foot. O’Leary had the DAWGS NUMBER…..But no, you thought you could do better.
My advice to Tekkies, Go Pound Sand! You better be happy you’re on TV at all.

Bottom line is Tech wins the rest will fall into place-
Tech82-I think m was talking about Jeff Wolverton in that particular comment-
Tech only needs to worry about UNC at this point and time. I think some of the UGA folks may have rubbed off on the Penn St fans up here-All I hear is how bad Penn St is getting screwed by being jumped in the polls- But anyway GO JACKETS and THWG!!!

Tech82…are you really that dense? READ it AGAIN. I said that Jeff Wolverton should be replaced (Strom moved to sideline and Van Note in the booth). I said Wolverton has the worst radio voice I have ever heard and that he is not a Tech fan or man but an FSU fan. Quit being so anal retentive and learn to read and comprehend. I have given Wes a new chance this year. I have always had season tickets and have listened to Wes on the radio at the games. But he had become such a Gailey suckup that last year I refused to listen to Wes. This year I have given him a second chance and he is doing better. But I would recommend a reading comprehension lesson for you. And, as always, Thank God and Greyhound that Chan Gailey, the WORST coach in the history of the world, is gone FOREVER!!! m - After re-reading your earleir post, I will concede that the sentence in question could indeed be referring to either Jeff Wolverton or Wes Durham. Unfortunately, your poor use of the pronoun “he” led to the ambiguity.
I agree with you completely (wow, that hurt) as far as Jeff Wolverton is concerned. He does indeed have an annoying radio voice.

You guys still need me around…trust me in that you will rue the day you hired that one season wonder coach you have now…my 11-19 record would have been much better if you had given me time…I could have amassed the same record as Chan Gailey, which was pretty good. I don’t care if they don’t show respect. It keeps us focused which is more important and it makes games we can win look more impressive because the public get the perception that we have upset someone. The only time this jar head thinking hurts us is recruiting and I think we did some damage to FSU this weekend and will continue to damage images to recruits as the season and years go by. Why go to Tallahassee or Athens when you can play in front of an Atlanta crowd which is closer to what real life is for you anyway. I mean if the average player is a SAE then go play at Athens, but that ain’t the case, though the average TV. audience is in Athens or Tallahassee sitting in front of a television growing a gut spending money on the sponsor’s beer doing so. 10,000 of them rolled into Grant Field this last weekend and every trailer camp in south Georgia and north Florida must have been empty. Why a black man wants to play in front of a Klan looking bunch of people is beyond me unless he is getting paid for it.

IMHO, as always: IF our Yellow Jackets can sneak past UNC, the Miami game will be very big. We may not beat UNC…we have some injuries, we just lost our best O-lineman for the year, and UNC had an extra week to prepare. On the other hand, IF Nezzzbitt is healthy, Carolina will not be able to stop our offense. And longer drives and more scoring puts more pressure on their offense and takes it off of our D. We need some defensive backs to get healthy in a hurry.
As to the white-out…yes, it is a dumb idea, but the call has been made…show up and wear white and it will look very cool on an ESPN Thursday night game. First, we have to beat UNC and get to 8-2. GO JACKETS!

Ramble On…so you call leadership quitting on your team to improve your draft position? I call that a major blow to a young team that needs all the “leadership” it can get. It’s a really sad statement of commitment from the supposed leader of a young, inexperienced O-Line.

Dwyer is the most underrated running back in college football. Which is no big deal, he carries that chip on his shoulder every Saturday and then pounds and slashes defenses to death. Combine Tech’s poor o-line play and I would challenge anyone to find a more underrated RB. He’s special, there must be something about that #21 on the Flats.

I couldn’t have said it better Ben. Not surprising, in this day and time! There are hardly any true LOYAL players that have any type of commitment to the team. His injury may explain why he was being MANHANDLED on several occasions. I don’t like to judge people, if he is hurt then don’t play, but if it’s a injury that you can play with, you need to support your team! I don’t know about the NFL, but I truly hope you are not banking on the NFL, and you are taking care of your degree…..

The only thing that matters is the North Carolina game. We don’t need love and recognition. We just need to win that game. It is an ACC elimination game for both teams, and both have lost only to the two Virginia teams, by the way. If Tech loses, then the Miami game won’t mean a thing, and the ‘white out’ will be embarassing, and Tech’s prospects for beating Georgia will be diminished. This Saturday is the season. Forget the irrelevant nonsense.

I think after teams play Tech and Dwyer, he will have their vote for player of the week. Let that and the TV snub be fuel for the fire. Tech needs to focus on UNC. As a UGA fan I have seen what can happen when you don’t focus on the job at hand. It will be quite a game to end the season.

From an ability standpoint Dwyer is probably one of the best 5 or 6 backs in the country, no doubt about it. Lack of TV and national exposure this year is staggering, much less than recent years. Thinking about Dwyer, Allen, and Jones next year is going to be scary good with improved O line play.

hey, gang hope you are all well. Florida State-Clemson getting the nod over Tech-UNC is simply about ratings. Florida State has it over Tech and UNC in terms of being able to grab joe (and jane) fan’s attention.
I’m not sure I’d call it selling your soul, by the way, beeliever. if they picked the game that “deserved” to be on espn over the one that was going to get better ratings, they’d all be looking for jobs.
I don’t think Tech has a lot of appeal outside of the state, and my guess is it’s the same with UNC outside of its state.
And while it’s not a Bowden bowl, I suppose (if you were a TV exec) you could argue that Bobby wants to exact vengeance on Clemson for sending his son packing, and that makes for an interesting angle.
As far as the Dwyer thing goes, I find it a little odd. But I guess you’d have to go back and look at which back won that week and what they did. it’s not a “season accomplishment” award.

Bummer about the TV, * Larry*. Good article. I hope I can get it on Gameplan up here in Chicago. Otherwise, I’m off to the Sports Bar to watch with the Chicago Alumni, which isn’t bad either, except that I can’t review it on my DVR.
Double Bummer about Gardner’s injury. Injuries are now a major problem: Word-Daniels, Quincy, now Nesbitt and Gardner - our All-ACC Captain. It’s a test of CPJ’s coaching to inspire the replacements to step up. I recall Bill Curry benching 3 of his best players including his QB, John Dewbury, before the New Year’s Eve All American Bowl against Michigan State with its All-American, Heisman Trophy candidate, Lorenzo White. I felt sure we would lose. But QB Todd Rampley and the others really stepped up and we won a thrilling victory. It can be done.

Don’t come on here and trash a true student-athlete like AG. Yes, he is the anchor of the OL, and it would be great if he could finish the year out, but his injury is not a hang nail or something minor. If it is an injury that affects his ability to play effectively (and I think a shoulder is VERY important on OL), and will not heal without surgery, then — NFL career or not — have the surgery.
BTW, AG is on track to be graduated in December.

JacketNation you were on a role and then you showed your true ugly colors. Kick Rocks you disgrace. ANYWAY!! Dwyer may be losing the weekly battles, but rest assured he will win the war. He will be the Offensive Back of the Year and First Team ACC.
TV is so important to recruiting and our program needs the proper exposure to get the great athletes nationally. That is how we have signed a bunch of our players because we were on national and regional TV. Don’t discount the importance of being on TV. To all of the true fans on this blog. We don’t need to focus on playing the games because we don’t play. But, we do need to discuss all of the ancillary things like packing the stadium, showing unity by wearing all white and not putting down the best play by play announcer in the country. That is what this blog is for. Now if there were any players on here discussing these issues than we will have a problem. But, I am confident that they are one the field and in the film room making sure that a UVA let down doesn’t repeat itself. To the people in the Gold seats. Thank you for spending the money you do to sit in that section we greatly appreciate your commitment. But, I must say that a group of you do need to say something in that lounge about the need for you all to keep that area full. It is on the lower level 40 to 40 behind the visiting teams bench. In other words, your section is on TV all the time. Empty seats show disinterest, this goes to everyone reading this blog. I can’t tell you how embarrassing it is to go into our museum and see the posters of great games of the past played on our field with UGA Red filtering in the background. We must get better at coming to the game people. I have made a commitment like mentioned above in a previous post to not only get my butt in the stands but to bring TECH supporting people with me. WE ARE FANS so we need to concentrate on being BETTER FANS. Stop the nonsense about our style… You come to games in your team colors and if you do something like the WHITE OUT, which was started by Penn State in the cold Fall temperatures last year, then we should all show up in white. Yes, we get passed over by Bowls and TV because of our STYLE. Since 1987 the only style that I have seen, is empty seats consistently throughout seasons. Sellout games made possible by visiting team sales, ie. Clemson, FSU, and UGA. Wow, I never see them complaining about Color out games, why? Because it happens in there stadiums every Saturday. We as the FANS of the greatest Institution in the World that owns one of the greatest football histories in college football, that has the best group of kids playing the season of there lives as freshman and Sophomores, need to get our act together and realize that a home field advantage should be just that and not discounted for any reason What So Ever. Let’s get it right FANS, ALUMNI, BANDWAGONERS. Get to the games, wear the appropiate colors and get to the stadium early and stay until the end. AND CHEER Your Butts OFF. LOUD starts with opening your mouth and yelling. Don’t be so full of yourself that this act is beyond you. I Love those Jackets!! So do you. Don’t just say it. Show it. Go Jackets!!!

Listen “nitwit” Ramble On, or whatever your name is…. The implication was that this young man made a decision based on the NFL, and his team had NO apparent weight in his thinking process. Then some MORON correlates Pollacks life threatening injury to AG’s injury. Ag has been playing with this injury from the start and now all of a sudden he has to have season ending surgery…..It may well be that he found he couldn’t compete because of this injury. Based on what has been written and said, AG made this decision based on the NFL. If this is the case then there is a FLAW in this kids decision making process, and his character is suspect. You don’t just leave YOUR team because you worried about your NFL career! Especially if he is a LEADER! Good Grief, have we NO HONOR any more!
Glad to hear he has his degree handled….
