Taylor, Reid save the day
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Georgia Tech played without three starters (RT David Brown, CB Jahi Word-Daniels and S Dominique Reese), then lost QB Josh Nesbitt to an ankle injury in the third quarter.
But the Jackets came up big all day long. Especially at the very end.
Cooper Taylor jarred the ball loose from FSU’s Marcus Sims as he ran toward the goal line, and Rashaad Reid recovered in the end zone for a game-saving touchback.
The final was Tech 31, FSU 28.
How about Jonathan Dwyer, running for 36- and 66-yard touchdowns?
How about freshman Nick Claytor? He made his first start filling in for Brown and cleared some big holes.
How about Roddy Jones? His 46-yard kickoff return got Tech going and he went over 100 all-purpose yards early in the second quarter.
How about Morgan Burnett? Four pass breakups. Did you see the hit he put on Greg Carr in the third quarter? Carr couldn’t hang on to a third-down catch, forcing an FSU punt.
How about Nesbitt? Zero turnovers, good reads, great command of the offense. The best he has looked all year.
What a wild first half: 422 yards of offense (222 by FSU, 200 by Tech).
FSU opened with an impressive drive. It was 3rd-and-8 from the Tech 9 when cornerback Michael Peterson, a redshirt freshman who hadn’t played much, shoved Greg Carr in the end zone and got called for pass interference.
The defense stood tall on first and second down, but on 3rd down from the 3, QB Christian Ponder scooted in for a touchdown.
It was the first time all season Tech had given up a first-quarter touchdown.
Roddy Jones jolted FSU with a 46-yard kickoff return, and Josh Nesbitt’s 30-yard strike to Jonathan Dwyer put the Jackets at the FSU 16. But Tech had to settle for a Scott Blair field goal.
It was 10-3 when CPJ went for it on 4th-and-1 from the FSU 33. Nesbitt got just enough for the first down.
Then A-back Marcus Wright showed his burst, taking an option toss 29 yards. Lucas Cox’s 1-yard run made it 10-10 early in the second.
After burning the Seminoles on the outside, Tech sent Dwyer up the middle. He ran untouched for 36 yards and the go-ahead TD.
The defense quickly got the ball back. Peterson tipped a slant route, and Cooper Taylor picked it off. His 28-yard return set up Greg Smith’s 4-yard TD run. Just like that it was 24-10.
Jermaine Thomas’ 62-yard run revived the Seminoles, who scored on Ponder’s 4-yard pass to Seddrick Holloway.
FSU added a 45-yard field goal before halftime, and it was 24-20.
Dwyer’s 66-yard TD run put the Jackets up 31-20, and Tech was driving again when Nesbitt got hurt.
Preston Parker’s 39-yard TD catch, and Carr’s 2-point conversion catch, made it 31-28 with 6:04 left. When Jaybo Shaw was intercepted, FSU had the ball at its own 41.
On 4th and 6 from the 45, the Seminoles converted with a 9-yard completion. Soon they were inside Tech’s 5.
Then Taylor and Reid saved the day.
As an added bonus for Tech, UVA lost earlier in the day. So the Jackets lead the Coastal Division at 4-2.
Who gets your game ball today?

Better lucky than good I guess. What was Daryl Richards thinking on that punt? Absolutely insane. Our defense was just plane whooped at the end of the game. Lack of depth, particularly in secondary showed.
Good news is I don’t think its that close if Nesbit doesn’t get hurt. I guess we’ve settled the quarterback controversy. This is Josh’s team.

Scary, but FUN.
I sure hope Josh is o.k. for next week, and we need to get our d-backs healthy fast.
What a day for Cooper Taylor!! He saved us today, and Derrick Morgan is a warrior! Of course, Dwyer was great as usual, and Roddy Jones did just about everything he was asked to do.
Oh yeah, what would we do without Scott Blair making tackles on the kickoff coverage?
One more thing…thanks to Miami. Keep winning until you meet us!
Love this team, and Coach CPJ.
Go Jackets!!

What’s the deal w/ Nesbitt? His injuries are frustrating. He’s just too soft to play in this type of offense. Either that or Johnson needs to give him a break every now and then. I understand the QB takes a pounding running this offense and I’m not sure why CPJ doesn’t give him a snap or two break. We had this game all day long until he goes down.
Congrats Jackets!! Big WIN!! Nesbitt, please get healthy!!! See everyone in Chapel Hill next weekend.

Please stop with the Jaybo Shaw infatuation. Yes, he ran the offense in high school but he’s not going to beat a speedy team like Fla St. He was highly ineffective and had no confidence at all. He’s too slow and runs too high and it almost cost Tech this game. Nexbitt’s injury problems are becoming a concern and Tech’s defense is a rollercoaster ride now. You might get a turnover or you might give up a 3-play 80 yard drive…Great game though.

Although I’ve been perhaps Jaybo’s biggest fan for most of the year, my game ball goes to Josh Nesbitt today. Josh made great reads, and as you said, looked the best he’s looked all year. I was disappointed that the Seminoles put 14 points on the board in the fourth quarter, but I was elated when Taylor and Reid combined to keep them out of the end zone for the third time in the quarter.
I don’t know of anyone in his right mind who would have expected this team to be 7-2 and leading their division after nine games. My hat’s off to them. Great game!
Now let’s win out and, with a little help, win the ACC and get into a BCS bowl game!

What an amazing win! GT was destined to defeat Bobby Bowden’s team…and tonight, we would not be deterred. Kudos to Cooper Taylor and Rashaad Reid! Those 2 have a lot to be proud of…Darryl Richard should hold his head high, as he played a fantastic game!!
Bring on the Heels!!! The ACC Coastal is still up for grabs…and we need to take care of our business.

Game balls to Cooper Taylor and Jonathan Dwyer.
7-2, with 3 games left to improve on the record. Already bowl eligible.
The division lead is a bit misleading, given that we are down the head-to-head tie breakers to both UVA and VT. Of course, none of that matters unless we TCB against UNC and Miami. If we win the next two, we do have a chance. VT and UVA still have to play each other.
And, just to make the day complete, the DAWGS got STOMPED and UF showed them that paybacks are HELL!!!!!

we will be ranked in the top 25 after this week again with these scenarios presenting themselves for us to win the coastall…
UVA and VT both hold tie breaker over GT but play each other so that elimates one of them
we play UNC next week in an elimination game (HUGE GAME)
miami also plays VT so one of those teams will be eliminated
we play at UNC then a thursday night (whiteout) game against miami. If our offense plays like it did today we can win both. Neither of those teams have a very good defense, and both seem to turn the ball over because of their youth.
So it looks like if we win out were basically a lock to make the ACC championship
PLEASE WIN TECH!!!!!

RaleighJacket…Why don’t you get off Josh’s back? He had an ankle injury that limited his mobility (hopefully, he’s able to go at UNC next week)…it wasn’t worth putting him back out there with a 2 possession lead and a healthy backup ready to go…Jaybo made some freshman mistakes that put our defense back on the field for a long time in the second half, which ended up making the final score a lot closer than it should have been.
Again, GT was due. It was just our time to finally beat F$U.

We are going to really need Josh AND the defensive back next week … UNC has a tough team. … I think I know CPJ’s plan for Jaybo … into the weight room after this season and bulk up … you got to to play QB in that offense. We got a little unlucky AND lucky at the end. Unlucky on the penalty at 4th and 11 and lucky we got that fumble in the EZ … couldn’t believe he was trying to pick up the ball instead of falling on it … Oh well. GO JACKETS!

Awesome win. What a defense. I think our defense can hang with any defense in the nation. FSU looked really good. We were lucky to hold them to only 28 points. But what about Nesbitt and our offense? Maybe the best performance yet.
I feel sorry for Jaybo though. Yeah, the armchair quarterbacks will be coming out and saying I told you so - he is no good. Understand he is a 190lb freshman who has one start. He will be good and he is good. He made two major freshman mistakes. If you judge him by those two mistakes alone then - well you know that you are stupid. I did like how CPJ made him continually run the ball to get his feet wet. It didn’t work though. Give him a chance and he will perform. But it doesn’t really matter as if Nesbitt is healthy then he will be there for the next two years and will be even better.
Again, great win.

The tackling still looked a little sloppy at times, the slant route run by the Noles was seldom stopped, we tried to give it away, but didn’t. As far as Jaybo, I don’t know why he ran the ball or tried to run it as often as he did. The thing that really impresses me about the Jackets is they don’t get rattled, when they screwup CPJ is chewing on them, and when they are doing well, he praises them.Great coach. IF Chan G. were still coaching, we would have lost that game today. Enjoy this win, then get back to business and lets take out the Heels next week. Go Jackets!

The good thing about having DVR watching this game:
The off sides call late in the 4rth when it was 4rth and 11 and FSU was punting and we went offsides. Yes we were stupid to jump on a punt but the center moved big time and the flag was on us.
That last FSU touchdown was offensive pass interference.
Who cares - the best team won. Lets start a new FSU winning streak.
By Buzzfan1936

DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?
BUT
The key bad call this time was offsides when FSU was in punt formation, 4th Qtr, late, Tech ahead by 3. One or more FSU linemen moved 1st causing GT to jump, but the ref called offsides against GT. A huge call, since FSU, instead of punting, went for it and made a 1st down. FSU had the game won except for the miracle fumble recovery in the end zone, which FSU nearly recovered. Give great credit to the defense for causing the fumble and the recovery and to Coaches Johnson and Wommack. This proves that great and inspired play and coaching can overcome the adversity of biased officiating, but do not expect this to happen often.
I also thought there was offensive pass interference on FSU’s 2 point conversion. The receiver had hold of GT #2’s jersey and pushed him down. What did you think?
ANYWAY, GLORY, GLORY, HALLELUJAH!! WE HAVE BROKEN THE FSU JINX!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PLAYERS, COACHES, AND FANS THERE!! TECH SHOULD BE UNDEFEATED RIGHT NOW, BUT I’LL TAKE WHAT WE CAN GET!

Thank goodness for the Jackets! We did have a miracle, like alot have said, better to be lucky than good! Josh is definitely the starter, Jaybo a young understudy at this point. Folks remember, Josh is just a true Soph. so the QB position will do nothing but improve as we continue to learn the offense. I am proud to have gutsy kids and people that want to work and get better!!! A good reflection on CPJ and staff. As for the D, hats off to Michael Peterson and #2 Mario Butler along with #28 Reid, these guys stepped up and played their tails off. Reid got the pi@@ knocked out of him a few plays b/4 the fumble recovery in the end zone. Maybe that is why he tried to “scoop & score” sometimes in this fast paced game you need to use your head, fall on the damn ball!!!!!!!!!
Great win, on to UNC and keep up the great effort!!!!!

To all the fans on the blog, please stand up if your team beat a team from the state of Florida today…please sit down Bubba!
So, I’m still fairly conditioned to Gailey-ball, so I don’t “believe” we’ll beat UGA, YET. But, is there any reason to think that we can’t beat a team that has given up 70 points in two halves of football (Alabama 1st half, UF 2nd half)? Did either Knowshon or Spooner look like potential Heisman candidates today? Or did they look like my brother and I pretending to be good players in the Superbowl in the backyard while fumbling and throwing poorly?
I think we’ll win at least 2 of the next 3, but even if we don’t, this season has far exceeded my expectations. CPJ, thanks for restoring pride to the Flats. For that reason, I’ll be making the 14 hour flight for the UM game and staying through the UGA game.

Hoping and praying Nesbitt’s injury isn’t enough to keep him out. This kid really stepped up today despite some doubts, including my own. Great to see Tech playing for 60:60. This team may lack some talent and experience, but it does not lack fortitude. Also, hats off to the offensive line, who opened up some huge holes out there that lead to several big plays. I hope this answered a few questions and doubts about this offense working against a speedy defense. The FSU run defense was much hyped coming in. With Nesbitt reading and executing better this week, I hope we just got a glimpse of the prosperity in the near future.
Go Jackets ! What a great day for football in the state of GA ! Between the Tech game and Florida’s scoring, my hand is sore from “high-fiving” my son.

I was really surprised that Jaybo didn’t look better, the way he performed against Miss. State and Duke. Midnight Rambler, do not call these guys idiots for missing a block, how many downs did your career consist of? The QB could have called the wrong play, was not clear in call or as I saw it, it looked like the center was supposed to fill there. Who knows? We are NOT coaches, that is an easy fix at practice. The concern is why you would make what I call a high risk play (somewhat, you ARE tossing the ball, look at Stafford/Moreno today) with Jaybo’s first snap, cold into game no practice snaps etc. A simple handoff to the B back would have been a hell of a lot safer, BUT CPJ figured it out, KISS (keep it simple stupid), hold on tom the ball and no risky plays. The INT was a gamble but Jaybo threw short, blame him or CPJ? I don’t know but do not call these guys idiots, they are not pros, just 17-23 year olds living life!!!!

Great win, Jackets. Thanks for FINALLY beating this FSU squad. I was standing in the student section for the first “ACC” game with FSU when we choked away a fourth-quarter lead, and it’s been a long, long time waiting for this. The next best thing to beating Georgia is beating F.S.U.X !!! Each of the twelve straight losses to the Criminoles have been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had to endure. From that infamous onside kick of the ‘92 game, to the 14-13 loss (can you believe Gailey came so close?) in ‘03, every loss has either been heat breakingly excruciating or embarrassing humiliating, like the ‘93 game (51-0). No Techie worth his or her salt can not find this win today as about as satisfying as any in recent memory. The only disappointment is that we weren’t able to run the score up. Hopefully that will happen next year when go down there to play at Dork-Campbell?
For now I couldn’t be more proud of this team for the ways they keep finding to gut this type of game out. Josh played better. The O line played better. Even the D with all the injuries found ways to make the big plays when necessary. Enough can’t be said for PJ’s decision to short kick from the fied goal formation and Blair’s pooch punt execution. Echoes of Dodd, wouldn’t you agree?
I agree that this should put to rest anymore Nesbitt vs Shaw controversy. But I’m afraid it will rear its ugly little head the next bad game Josh has. (And he probably will since he’s still learning and adjusting to the option.) But yeah, we were somewhat lucky today but so what? We were due some luck, not only for some things that have happened this season (i.e. the Va. Tech game) but also the many many disappointments against the ex-girl school located in Tallahassee.
Now if we can get some players 100% we should win the next two and God willing, find out Nov. 29 if there is justice in the universe. GO JACKETS and THWG!!!

FSU was bowling over him all afternoon. and, reid … FALL on a fumble and tuck it tight!!! don’t EVER attempt to pick up a fumble in the endzone and run it out in such a situation. that’s football 101. geez! what turned out to be the luckiest break could have been a blockhead blunder. i was impressed with shaw weeks ago, but he looked totally unprepared for his shot in this game. how many times did he call his own number in a row and get hammered? kid looked like he was running with lead shoes! let’s hope his inability to move the offense isn’t a harbinger of things to come if nesbitt’s “glass jaw” keeps him sidelined.

Darryl Richard should not have hit that lineman across from him but if you watch the play closely, the offensive player gets set in his stance and then moves closer to the player on his left. He resets BOTH feet. It should have been a penatly on FSU.

Great win to get back into the division race, but that was a little too exciting at the end. Offensive line played better against a solid FSU defense. An injury racked secondary held up. We prevailed despite numerous non-calls for FSU offensive holding. (FSU did the same thing against VA Tech last week and after Bowden whined at half, the refs have called one holding - on 77 in the second half)
We have some stuff to work on though. Fall on the fumble!!! We almost gave them the winning touchdown by trying to run it out of the end zone. Hope Josh is OK to go. Special teams doverage remains spotty.
We need to immediately focus on North Carolina. Traditionally, we play VERY poorly at Virginia and North Carolina. Too much head after this win can be deflating next week if we’re not focused. However, as others point out, PJ does a much better job of maintaining focus than Chan the Man.
and best of all there is nothing better than a weekend where the Yellowjackets prevail and the worthless fleabags go down. To HELL with UGAly.

Cooper Taylor, Cooper Taylor, Cooper Flipping Taylor!
Who in the world is this kid? How many different players scored today? Other than the D-line and one O-line player, how many guys do we lose next year?
Our guys get hurt and we just keep rolling out freshman to play and the team keeps winning. Amazing!
Gutty, tough team and nobody thinks any of the next three games will be any different.
What a blast!

49-10. I should stop there, but…
Play someone worth the money? Like Georgia Southern, Central Michigan, South Carolina and Tennessee (locked in a barn-burner of bad teams right now), AZ State, Vandy? You’ve played LSU. Oh, and Bama and FLA, who wood-shedded you. I wouldn’t say you played those teams.
National Championship hopes: done SEC Championship hopes: on life support End-zone stomping: still an option, but not recommended
40 oz beer from the corner: still available!
Keep hanging around on Tech postings, though. It really makes your case that you don’t care about Tech football.

Cant blame Jaybo for that fumble. Also important to remember that FSU came in as one of the best Ds in the ACC. Josh made them look bad and had momentum on his side. Glad that Cooper redeemed his bad coverage on the long TD pass w/ the helmet-to-ball hit to save the game. Now…Miami needs to beat VT and UVA needs to lost at VT and we’ll be alone on top!

Incredible game! I am waiting with with breath heald to hear Josh’s status. The QB controversy that never was is over. Josh gets the gameball! We really need him back for next week. UNC is playing equally above their expectations. This will be a tough one.
Thanks to the Gators for completing the perfect weekend! THWG!

What a game. Beautiful day in Atlanta on the flats. Game ball to #22. Pure GENIUS coaching on the 54 yard fake field goal punted and downed on the 1 yard line. That was the loudest I have heard Bobby Dodd in a long time during that Defensive Stand. Then later, with only 9 minutes left, we’re up 11, and the place was quiet enough to hear a pin drop. GT fans - our coaches and players gave us 60 minutes of football - we need to give them 60 minutes of cheering our hearts out. Something to work on for the Miami game.

Yes, many of these players were recruited when Gailey was the HC (minus the true freshmen and Gailey’s players that bolted upon his departure).
That said, I dare anyone to be so boldly stupid as to assert that this team would be 7-2 under Chan.
This team is winning as much on confidence and enthusiasm as it is on pure talent. Gailey NEVER instilled those qualities in his players.
I think we may have put a lid on the QB controversy after this one. Shaw is a talented kid that will bring good things to the team during his career. It’s also good to know that he’s there as a capable back-up if Nesbitt goes out. This team is not made up of 22 players. We need all the players (including Jaybo) pulling together and contributing whenever they are called upon.
We really need at least 2 more conference wins this year. JEEZ, that stinkin’ loss last week really stings right now. UNC is playing tough. Miami just went to Charlottesville and beat the same UVA team that we lost to last week. Either of those games could go either way.

Really…..tech played well. They have a decent foundation with a hard nosed coach and have 2-3 years until they get national attention. Just saying UGA and company will bring the hurtin. Good luck the rest of the year. You always have a good D but you lack the offensive firepower.

I concur with the above: GREAT WIN! MIRACLE FINISH! JINX BROKEN!
Nonetheless, the refs almost gave us another defeat with that terrible offsides call when FSU was going to punt ignoring prior movement by the offensive lineman. I also agree that there was offensive pass interference on FSU’s 2 point conversion which was also huge.
I suggest we Storm the Bastille, burn down the ACC Headquarters in Greensboro, take no prisoners, and set up a Revolutionary New Conference: The Atlantic Fair Officiating Conference.
We can’t win many games if we have to play against the refs as well as the opposing team.

Nice backatcha Allman Brother.
Great win today. I feel like the hand of fate turned. As others have pointed out, Tech has lost this game so, so many times in the past. I’ve been present for at least two previous losses to FSU that were among the most painful of my lifetime as a Tech fan. I thought I was going to witness No. 3 today. Had great seats in section 103 so I got to see the endgame up close.
I’m sure glad Cooper Taylor made that play, because I wasn’t real big on his performance otherwise. The interception was huge. But he missed a ton of tackles. He also was playing WAAAAY too deep on that fourth and six following the Richard penalty. I know he’s a safety, but he’s got to come up and jam that receiver to stop the short slant, which was exactly was FSU did. Then, one play later, he gives up the touchdown on the deep ball. He actually played it pretty well, but never located the ball. If he had, he’d have been in excellent position to pick it off. Oh, well, glad he got his helmet on that ball at the end.
The gods were smiling on us today - for a change. Unfrigginbelievable!

For Those About To Rock I apologize. You are correct. In the passion of the moment, I spoke hastily. I shouldn’t have called whoever didn’t block an idiot, but it was such a huge mistake at such a critical time that I was upset. I feel we almost lost the game because of that one play. Offensively we were never the same. I did not criticize Jaybo’s fumble or the INT. I feel that play and the fumble on the 1st play for the freshman probably shook his confidence and may have affected his underthrown pass for the INT. Yes, they are only 18-22 yr. olds, but they are getting very valuable scholarships with excellent academic training, so they should be expected to perform. Someone obviously didn’t on that play; I don’t know who. Also, keep in mind that it is 18-22 year olds who are fighting and dying for us in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Today….
CPJ has done something that B_ L__, Coach O’Leary and Chan were never able to do.
3 games left and let’s take care of business!
BTW: Michigan lost today, so their streak of consecutive bowls will be history. FSU (assuming they pick up one more win, with Clemson and BC coming up), VT (ditto—Duke is coming up for them), and Florida will all move up one, and GT and UGA will move up to the 4th longest bowl streak.
BTW: Anyone notice that all these teams are either in the ACC or SEC?

Great win today against a resurgent FSU team! I love the way the freshmen keep stepping up but if we don’t learn how to stop the short passing game, a team with the likes of Stafford, Green and Massaquoi is going to chew us up. Maybe the mangy mutts that didn’t bother to show up today in Jacksonville will be the team we see on the 29th.

Guys and Gals,
You have a fun team to watch - all those different young players given an opportunity to run the ball. And a fantastic coach who knows what he is doing and is in command of the situation during the game. Unlike other offensive coordinators in the ACC or SEC, every time I watch the Jackets on offense I get the impression that Paul Johnson is calling plays just to set up the next big play. I bet he would win a lot of Poker games. Just some observations from a college football fan while recounting the game on VoIP.

How can you hand the game ball to just one person? It was truly a team effort. Noone gave up, especially the defense. If I had to pick, though, it would be a tie between Cooper Taylor and Rashaad Reid. When we needed a miracle to win the game, they came through. Great win, Jackets!

Great game!!! We were destined to win this one. The refs tried to stop us, luck tried to stop us, but was confronted by the spirit of Bobby Dodd and was told to make things right. I am not one for “ifs”, but if Nesbitt had not gotten hurt the score would not have been so close. FSU had no idea how to stop us on offense. Great game Jackets!!!!! On to UNC! Oh, i tried training my pet bulldogs not to play in the Florida swamp, but they are too stupid to get it. Keep splashing around in the endzones like dumba**es and a Gator is bound to eat you. Lets get off the Josh-Jaybo wagon. GTNE80 said it well…everyone is needed and talented (or they wouldn’t dress-out.) CPJ has chosen Josh to run the engine, and Jaybo to back-up. Both are important jobs (reference this game!) and certainly both players stand to improve.
We just need to avoid the Gailey-era phenomenon…one step forward then two backwards. Big challenges upcoming.
With desire, focus, and execution we pulled off a “W” in a wild exciting game. And the ABC crew showered praise all day on our team and program.

Midnight Rambler, I too apologize for the “career” statement, if you were a QB, my hats off to you. One of my favorite sayings watching games with the vicious hits on the field today is, “Mama, don’t let your babies grow up to be quarterbacks.” I myself played LB and was always the defensive captain, I was not smart enough to play QB, but I remember calling the “o” worse than idiots too!!! Enjoy the games and THWG!!!

Great win. Great to get a break that fell our way against FSU. They’ve dodged a lot of bullets against us during their streak.
Get the celebration over with today and lets get ready to take on the Heels. It’s another in a series of “most important game of the year.” Win next week, and our ACC chances look VERY good. Lose next week and we’re a certain also-ran.
UNC can be beaten. We will be underdogs, but this team seems to enjoy the underdog role (witness G-W and UVA games where we were big favorites).

Carolina is on the road which will make it difficult, but who would have thought the football action for the state of Georgia would be at Tech this year. If you want to read ,and the radio pundits were preaching the same sermon, the most misguided supposed experts on a football season go achieve the articles about who was what from this paper and just about everybody else in the football world. A huge reason Tech did not have capacity crowds early on is the press made them sound so dull and the opposite with Georgia. I listen to 680 Saturday morning and they were calling out the national press for putting Georgia down do much and daring to predict a huge win by Florida. I don’t mind the honesty if they think a team is good or bad but the little side comments that they think are entertaining like the guy on the radio calling Myers a bush league coach because he would use a emotional trick to get his team up. Who looks like a bush league expert when you make comments like that and a team rips the homey’s team up into pieces. CPJ has been trying to tell people the ACC is not that bad or the SEC not that good including Georgia. Him being right helps Tech recruiting, the press being wrong helps Georgia’s recruiting but reality has taken over. By the way South Carolina has a very good chance to beat Florida.

Hey Keith - Nice comment and very gracious of you. This was a well-played game on both sides by two well-coached teams. Those among us Tech faithful have been conditioned to expect to be on the short end, esp. against your Noles as it has been such the norm over time.
I
