This won’t exactly be a virtual blog, inasmuch as I won’t blog after every play, but I’ll be adding to this frequently as today’s game rolls onward.
The defense came out rocking, Philip Wheeler with tackles on the first two plays and then Guyton and Robertson combining for a sack on third down.
And then Correy Earls, wide open down the left sideline, drops a perfect pass from Taylor Bennett. That was a touchdown.
Great day for a football game: cool, gray, breezy.
Tech punts . . . what the heck is that ruling? Mikey Henderson fumbles the ball at around the 5, boots it into the end zone and flops on it as Morgan Burnett (who started at cornerback again, by the way) drills him. They call it a touchback? Perhaps because he never had possession?
Anybody know the ruling on that one? I admit I don’t. Georgia benefits to the tune of about 25 yards in field position, not to mention the Jackets not coming up with points on what looked at minimum like a safety.
Georgia Tech quarterback Taylor Bennett injured his throwing hand on the Yellow Jackets’ next-to-last play of the first half Saturday and did not return when the second half began. He did come back, however, late in the third quarter. Junior Calvin Booker, who last threw a pass in a game Sept. 8, when he completed 1 of 2 against Samford, started the second half, and completed his first two passes. Freshman Josh Nesbit also played and threw an interception in the third quarter. Facing third-and-10 from the Georgia 37-yard-line, Bennett fumbled a shotgun snap, reached down for the ball, and then fell on top of it for a 7-yard sack. Tech coach Chan Gailey sent kicker Travis Bell out for a 62-yard field-goal try on the final play of the half. The kick fell short to leave Georgia with a 16-14 lead.
More to come.

Georgia takes a 3-0 lead on the strength of a couple plays, passes. Generally, though, Tech’s defense has been stout in the first quarter.
Key to that drive was the fourth-down holding penalty on Tech DB Avery Roberson. He didn’t need to hold, either. That ball was going to be too deep to catch.

DE Adamm Oliver has been out since 3:29 remained in the first quarter with a left knee injury. He went inside, and hasn’t come back for what’s been close to half an hour.

Tech must not have watched tape of Georgia playing Kentucky. That play Stafford just scored on was a repeat of his touchdown against the Wildcats. He faked to Moreno running left, ran right, and there was NOBODY within 7 or 8 yards of him as he ran downfield. Ouch!

Adamm Oliver is not coming back from that knee injury.
Taylor Bennett may or may not come back. He has a hand injury.
That touchdown by Georgia shortly before halftime was set up by a bad call. No way that’s defensive pass interference on Morgan Burnett. It’s a no call, or if you have to call something, Mohamed Massaquoi was guilty of more wrongdoing. He pushed Burnett in the back.

Booker threw the heck out of the ball while in there.
Bennett’s back, and just threw a bullet to Greg Smith on the far left side.
They just announced Tenneessee’s win over Kentucky. You could hear some Bulldogs fans groaning.
End of the third quarter. Tech trails 23-14 in a game that’s had some bizarre plays.

Chan is finally gone. I will not gloat because it really does not make me feel great that a good man has to lose his job, but Chan had to go.
GT will start over, but there is a decent personnel group to start a new program with. I hope we hire Paul Johnson, or another proven winner in the college ranks. I will support the new hire, just as I did Gailey until the end of last season.
Kudos to a valiant effort by the seniors and all of the Jackets this year!!

A couple of FREAKY rulings on punts……
Coutu hurts his leg again - there goes our kicking game….
Thomas Brown - HUGE game!!! They keyed on Moreno all night, but Brown has made them pay dearly!!
Junkyard Dig “D”!!!!!!! How many takeaways tonight??? Hoooo-rah!!
Finally, grudging respect to UT. Kentucky gave the Vols all they wanted and more, but somebody had to lose.
In the big picture, UGA is STILL sitting very pretty, thank you! With LSU going down last night and Kansas-Missouri tonight, we have a legitimate shot at being ranked as high as third going into the bowls. Yeah, the SEC title game would have been damn nice, but I’ll still take the “consolation” of finishing second in the SEC East. A month off will give Coutu, Moreno (just went off with an ankle problem) and the rest plenty of time to finish the semester and heal up before our next game.
I am so proud of this team it’s ridiculous. The SC loss against Spurrier and the Gamecocks was a bitter pill, and we flat got our butts whipped against Tennessee, but the second half of the season, we have OWNED the competition.
GO YOU HAIRY DOGS!!!!!!!!

Does everyone agree that these officials have given GA the game on a silver platter. The two back breakers were the two end zone plays where the first should have been a safety and when GT recovered the fumble in the end zone. I could go on and on but as someone stated, GA should be proud as to how the referees played for them! The announcers have been just as bad. I do believe they should apologize to GT fans for their bias. AND LARRY MUNSON. I for one do NOT want to hear anything he has to say nor do I want to hear him call a game. Dear goodness, ridiculous does not even describe it. At least Gailey may be gone after this. Let’s hope!

Ellen,
Bad as some of the officiating has been, the zebra’s didn’t decide the game. Call it lucky or whatever you want, but Georgia capitalizes on their opponent’s mistakes and Tech…doesn’t.
Our D had a great 1st half, but we dropped at least one and possibly two INT’s and we fumbled away a huge scoring chance on the incomplete lateral.
That’s the ballgame.

isn’t even a contest anymore. makes me sick to my stomach to give that many plays away to a team that doesn’t need any help. I’m beginning to think this is more a curse rather than UGA being the better team. Look at all the last second wins over the past few years and now this bizarre game where the refs and wierd plays spot UGA about 21. UGA is d=mn lucky to come out of here with a win. PERIOD. And I’ll march that to my grave b/c you know I’m right. Dang lucky this time around.

Steve,
First - isn’t there a UGA blog where you can gloat? I get enough of that from my wife. We want to cry and fire Chan Gailey here.
Second - UGA Band? No wonder you’re over here with us.
Now, for the substance. This team, this program, deserves a coach who can make us competitive within the ACC, and occasionally beat Georgia. I think Chan’s a good guy, he’s apparently doing a decent job recruiting, but, let’s get a winner and consistently win 9 games/year, compete for the ACC title and top 15 finishes every year (I know Dawgs, those are not quite the same goals as you guys, but, we don’t have 35,000 students and Underwater Basketweaving and History of Sports majors to offer. If Wake Forest, a much smaller, and similar academic school (minus the engineering part of it) can do it, then there is no reason Tech can’t.
It is clear that this group of assistants, with the exception of the Quarterbacks coach, can coach and we need to keep most of these guys around. It’s Chan that needs to go. This team is not playing at the level it should be, although the component parts are quite good, and the blame for that goes to the coach (and that has been true for 6 years).
I don’t know when we absolutely must part with Chan. He’s been dealing with some of the recruiting restrictions until now, so, maybe Radakovich can make the case for ONE more year. But, my feeling is now is the time to say good-bye.

November 24, 2007 3:07 PM | Link to this
As someone who is from Georgia, and grew up watching both teams (and, by the way, was accepted at both schools with a scholarship), I think that I have a very strong opinion about today. I have always had a healthy respect for Tech (yes, a great academic institution), and its football tradition dating back to John Heisman. Actually, this game ceased to be a rivalry after Tech left the SEC in 1966. For 30 plus years, this game, along with Alabama and Auburn, was a key game at the end of the year that determined the SEC pecking order. Therefore, some of the sizzle was lost. At the same time, Bobby Dodd retired, and Vince Dooley was rapidly ascending as one of the best coaches in his generation (much as Dodd was). A third factor in the watering down of the rivalry is the simple fact that Tech’s mission as an engineering institution has changed. Academic standards have changed (as have Georgia’s). The student composition has changed quite a bit in the last 40 years, and many recent graduates and current students do not share the same passion for this game (or for ACC or SEC football at all) as their predecessors did. On the other side of the coin, Georgia is still the state’s flagship university…although, to my dismay, most students now come from the Atlanta area, and their families are not from here and don’t have any idea what conditions are like economicaly or politicaly outside of the metro area (hint, these things go hand in hand. I could go on and on, but I won’t. I do hope for a good game today, and I think it will be - “rather beat them than eat” as my dad says. With that said, UGA 21, Tech 17. Tech…please, please, please, BEAT UNC in Mens BB TWICE THIS YEAR!

Jay,
For what it’s worth, for three quarters I saw the kind of game I was expecting: nose-to-nose, knock-your-jock-off football. We pulled away in the fourth and posted a convincing win.
But as BJohnDawg said, you Bumble fans have been talking more smack that a full season of “Your Mama” as this game approached.
Payback is hell, isn’t it?
Hell yes, I’m a proud Redcoat Band alum. The Redcoars are the best in the business, period. If Tech’s band ever learns a song other than “Wramblin’ Wreck” and “Up With The White And Gold”, please let me know. I’ve heard high school bands that can play circles around the GT Stumbling Hundred. Tell you what, show me the Tech band’s Sudler Trophy, awarded to the most elite college bands (look it up, Jay), and I’ll see if it matches up with ours.
OOPS!!!!! Wait a minute, Tech DOESN’T HAVE ONE!!!!! Look Jay, facts are facts. UGA OWNS the Bees, in the stands as well as on the field.
I asked my son right after the game what it feels like to lose to Tech.
He said, “Geez, Dad, how should I know? I’m only seven!!”
Whine about UGA fans invading “your” blog, being classless, whatever makes you feel good. The end result is still the same. You’ll have to find SOMETHING to to justify turning up ytour noses at Georgia. For me, the biggest stink, as it has for the past seven years, came from the Tech side of the field.

I am not on here to gloat or rub your face in Dawg crap, but to give reasoning to the outcome of the game. About the calls, we had a similar misfourtune against Auburn a couple of years back, and the ball was hit out of an player’s hand, and the result was a touchback as well. You may get a call, you may get a call against you, but it doesn’t decide the game, at least not in a game separated by 2 TD’s. Tech played their hearts out, Gailey pulled every play out of the playbook, but the depth of UGA was just too much. Tech’s D did a good job stopping Moreno, but we also have a great Senior leader T Brown. The defense played a great game, especially the 2nd half, and Stafford stepped it up. Choice played a hell of a game, but like I wrote in another blog, Bennett just can do it as a big time QB.

Coach Gailey never had a chance!! The only reason we lost the game is the players didn’t make the plays. Bad passes, dropped balls, stupid penalties, and to many big plays in the secondary. Morgan Barnett is for real!!
If the players make plays the Coach is the best, if they don’t everyone wants to fire him. The coaches don’t make the plays they only call them.

Bennett made some bad decisions on his throws, but I also counted 7 drops in the game. Whoever is coaching next year had better go after some tough receivers that make the tough catch. Over the next 2 years, none of these receivers should be starters. The offensive line seldom picked up blitzes and at best are average. I hope the new guys coming in will be a notch better.

You idiot mutts are crowing about beating a team that wasn’t even ranked, has a poor coaching staff, an awful quarterback not to mention awful SEC officiating crew that helped you out. (Seems like the same kind of crap call that we got in 1997 which did cost us the game) You mutts are and always have been classless.
Tech played hard but once again missed some opportunities, had horrendus play calling and poor execution yet kept it close for most of the afternoon. Don’t know if Chan is comming back or not but he has had over 6 years to find a decent qb and has failed miserably in that department. With a decent qb the last few years would have been very win-able. And what kind of play calling was that which led up to the 60 plus yard field goal? Pathetic. All we needed was 10 yards but kept throwing long low percentage passes with an erratic qb. Just plain dumb.
It has been another painful year for Tech fans. Not sure which is worse being a Falcons or a Tech fan.

Let’s talk rude and obnoxious….my daughter is a 4 year member of the Redcoats. She speaks kindly of the fans at TN, Auburn, AL, USC, even FL, but today she left home with a pit in her stomach. She absolutely HATES going to Tech. The fans, students and alumni alike are rude. Two years ago their uniforms were nearly ruined by Tech fans throwing Cokes on the Recoat Band students….but I guess it was no big loss to the Tech fans…the Cokes were free just for showing up….

Maybe Connecticut’s admin will be so mad a Randy Edsel, they’ll let him go if he ask (8 more years on his contract). The fact that his team won 9 games this year with 1-AA talent is amazing. Tech’s talent is better than that, and he would keep Tenuta (friends). Hope, hope, hope!!! On another note, I mention the refs for one reason. ACC refs call to the crowd (when Tech plays at UGA), and SEC refs, well you saw another mystery tech penalty affecting the game. No matter which stadium Tech plays in, they can’t make the kind of mistakes they made the last 2-3 years when playing UGA.

GT fan,
First we are all “crowing” b/c beating the in-state rival comes with the victory package. I don’t agree with some of the low-class comments, but we won and it is are job to remind you…you would do the same, trust me. Second, re-read some of those posts from Tech fans all week, or all season for that matter, and you will see why it is hard to resist all this “crowing”. If you would have won, you would have every right to rub it in, especially from some of the other UGA low class posts that have existed. It is nearly impossible for me not to keep my mouth shut, especially after Mr Bogg’s breakdown of the game, and all of his crowing about how UGA is not as good as the media makes them to be. He construed facts, and used stats to his advantage leaving out pertinant information. Every Tech fan was like, “finally, an unbiased, logical take on the game.” Tech left it on the field, but UGA’s depth was just too much. Hopefully, Chan will not be left on the field for next year.

Funny - the UGA band dorks (those are the real NERDS) have to come and talk trash on this blog too! That’s a good one… Figures - he probably was tickling his own horn at home instead of being a real fan and there tonight.
As for the game, “gold old fasion hate” was there again tonight. If those Mutts really think they whipped GT, outplayed GT, wore GT down, or whatever else, they must not have been there.
Great game, some bad calls (and TV announcers confirmed that- I called some folks who were fairweather at home), and bad luck for Tech (or good luck for UGA). UGA won and more power to them for the victory. UGA fans are still trash tho - I saw at least 4 fights picked by thier fans after the game. Have class when at someone else’s house - come, clap, give a “hey good game”, and go home. Don’t be trash, taunt, and fight. Just gives the rest of your real fans (who actually atttended UGA) more reason to be embarrased by you.

Go Vols (and others),
Are you serious? You’re gonna moan and groan about THUG-U fans (did you come up with that your self?) Have you been around after some of UT’s wins in Athens? What is so THUG-U about UGA? Is it the fact that we’re proud of our team after a win? Wow, you’re right! That’s a little over the top. Is it the fact that our players are out there trying to have a good time. Yeah, again, you’re right, the players should not show any emotion at all. Maybe we should just go home and quietly whisper to our wives that we’re super excited to be #7 in the nation (soon to be #4). I wouldn’t want to say anything out loud. We wouldn’t want to hurt your sensitive feelings. God forbid that we and our players show some excitement because lord knows that I’ve never heard that from UT fans.
Stop complaining about a little celeration and success. I’m a little tired of people whining about an endzone celebration and about players dancing (DANCING?!?!) on the sidelines. All of the sudden UGA is “THUGA”. Sounds to me like there are a lot of little girls out there that would like to see the same enthusiam/success out of their team.
On the note of the game…I enjoyed my time before the game with several Tech fans that knew the definition of hospitality. Thanks for a good time. Good luck with your bowl game.

When, oh, when will THE announcement come? Maybe tomorrow the sun will rise on a NEW day for GT. Come on Dan, do what must be done! Actually the onus should be on Chan. People talk about what a “fine man” he is. If so, he should recognize that he has lost the support of the fan base at GT. Without the support of the fans, a coach is spinning his wheels. Chan should be a man and quit on his own. They’ll still pay him, and he can go on his merry (NFL) way.

Nope TW - the fairweather (spell it) fans, are the pathetic ones of GT that consistently give away thier tickets to UGA fans. The saddest? The lower West - that looked more Red than Gold. And those are the crotchety old bas%ards who moan more than most. Until we get REAL fans, we can never expect to play at the highest level. It starts with our fans. You would like to root for a good man such as Gailey to win, but truth is he has never been a good coach at any high level. Wish him health and wins at another school. If the man couldn’t win with the talent last year, we knew 7-5 was a safe bet. And 7-5 is mediocre. This is his legacy. Again, wish him well, but he has to go I’m sorry to reiterate. Tech deserves better than this.

I just watched the game replay on tivo. SEC refs cheated to give UGA the win. Fumbles that GT recovered handed back to UGA, pass interference calls against GT that were actually against UGA, etc. It isn’t good when the announcers say it is a bad call. Based on the basd calls, GT would have 21 more points and UGA would have 7 less. Big game for GT, but UGA limps out of Atlanta with a gift from the SEC refs (I guess the refs got the call from the SEC office that with LSU’s loss, they need to ensure a UGA win). In the future, we must have non-conference refs in this game - how about Big East.

No I didn’t go to the game. I guess I’m a joke of a UGA fan since I didn’t make the brief drive to ATL. I’m such a horrible fan that I gave up my two tickets so that I could stay home and enjoy my son’s birthday party.
As for tickling your own horn, sounds like you’re the voice of experience. I’m not even going to BEGIN to think what you’re doing right now with valve oil and slide grease…..
And Techwreck, yes, UGA DOES give some band scholarships, issued by the UGA School of Fine Arts. What exactly is your point? Hmmmm….There’s a radical concept! A music department that issues scholarships to music majors!! Duhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! For your information, though, the vast majority of Redcoats are NOT music majors and receive not a red cent from UGA or anyone else. They pay their own way, and any money from the school or elsewhere comes via departmental scholarships, the HOPE, or other traditional financial aid.
Jesus, is this the best you Bumbles can come with after seven years of losing? Sad. Really, really sad.

Why must you Tech fans stoop to the level of brandishing some asinine notion of academic superiority when discussing football? I’m tired of constantly hearing the “you can have athletics, we have academics” nonsense. I’m a proud UGA grad, and I’m also a UNC grad student, which has a high academic profile but still has fine athletic programs, as do many other schools, such as Stanford, Cal, USC, UCLA, Michigan, etc., so it’s easy to undermine any sort of excuse that extends from prestige. The fact of the matter is that GT simply doesn’t have the coaching, players, or facilities to defeat UGA on a regular basis. 59-38-5 is telling enough, given the fact that Tech dominated many of the early games of the series.

I’m not sure if these Techies actaully understand that it is just as tough (if not tougher) to get in to Georgia now as it is into Tech. So the whole “UGA grad working for a Tech grad” doesn’t hold a lot of water. As far as the rudest fans commets, those are just sour grapes talking; Florida fans are the worst in my opinion. I went to UGA, and sure there are our share of fans that did not go to UGA, but at least we can sell out our home games (and Tech’s too). That is what happens when you have a NATIONAL program, you atract fans from all over, not just alumni. I think from now on, when we come out with our schedule the years we plat “at” Tech, it should be listed as another home game for us.
Tech, while your playing at the nut bowl or the blue turf bowl; we will be playing in a little game like the Rose Bowl or Orange Bowl…have you ever heard of those games????

You must have been a Palm Beach County Democrat in the last couple of elections……if you can’t participate in a logical argument, simply start name-calling and tossing insults everywhere. Yessir, that’s reeeeal class you demonstrated in your last post. I’m sure that al the Techies are proud of you. Man, you sure put us 9-2 mutts in our place!
Bottom line hasn’t changed. It’s seven in a row now, and you clowns can’t take the heat any more. The Bumbles may be in the upper third of the Always Crappy Conference, but GT would just be another Vandy in the SEC - gives a fight, but fades when the heat’s on, and always an also-ran. Come to think of it, that;s how you did in the ACC this year, wans’t it????
Have a good time in the Boise Bowl.

Enough with crying about bad officiating Asher Allen got elbowed in the face by a tech reciever, and got flagged on the play. There were bad calls on both sides. If you need clarification on the touchbacks, please see the article in the sports section. Oh, and the next time you want to complain about the refs, just remember Hamilton’s fumble in 97 and Jasper’s “fumble” in 98. ‘Nuff said.

As a lifetime tech fan and newly wed to a uga fan, bless her heart for a bad upbringing, we sat tonight amidst a sea of red, and she seen first hand how rednecks behave. Yes, we took a beating, but at least a soul was saved as she is now converted to the white and gold.

tech has only won 52% of there games since leaving the SEC in 1966 ranking them 46 nationally. while UGA has won 73% of there games ranking them 11 over the same span. Tech made a huge mistake then and will never overcome that mistake. UGA just dominates this series…not since before JFK was in the white house has Tech been competitive on a consistant basis. tech has only beat UGA 11 times in 42 years (since 1966). now that is total domination. Go Dawgs…maybe bring back pepper rodgers?

Don’t care to hear the Tecchies whine about us gloating over a win and saying we are classless. I remember their last streak, AND I remember that they were doing the same things that they are accusing us of. I guess now you tecchies will say that you wouldn’t be gloating over a win at UGA now, huh? What a load of bullsh1t!! We wouldn’t be able to cross the street without hearing something from the tech nerds. The problem is, you havent one but once since the turn of the century.

Nice of ABC to show coverage of a legend like Larry Munson, but they should have just shown him and not turned on the sound. Old man should have been under a blanket on his chair and let us keep our memories of when he could actually speak.

Tech has a ton of talent which is only obvious when they play UGA or teams with losing records (25-52?). Any number of coaches could do more with less. Chan, nice guy..but not a great coach. As UGA grad, I hope he stays but Tech will be better served to try to identify young up and comer (ie Richt)…

I actually feel sorry for the tech players…it has to be disheartening looking up in the stands and seeing 75% of the crowd in red and black. Nice support nerds! Booing your coach during a public service announcement and not showing up against your biggest rival…now that is class!

If direct hiking the ball to the back is the only thing Tech practice on for this week rival game with the Bulldogs, then why do we need an Offensive Coordinator.

Why hasn’t Booker played more this year ? Chan hangs his career on quarterbacks that can’t throw. Bennett either throws too short or overthrows too long .. i guess it doesn’t matter because the receivers can’t catch it anyway.

Dog Grad 311,
Thank you for your accurate comments. Crowing does come with winning, but character is supposed to be a limiting factor. I loved winning the last three year streak and have heated every year of the past seven. However, in talking to my fellow Georgians, I expect the good natured ribbing. That’s part of the package of openly supporting your team. However, both sides, let’s reject the trash individuals and discard the open verbiage and behavior of those who we not “raised right” in the South. Good sportsmanship was taught by both Dodd and Dooley. Stafford is a blossoming quarterback with national impact potential and Choice was a great acquisition for Tech
I hope the Dawgs crush whomever in the BCS from another section of the country (even if its looks like Hawaii - at least they’re the only undefeated team). I also will back the Jackets in our minor bowl / pre-spring practice session again. Mostly, I hope for a quality coaching staff with character & enthusiasm as UGA has attained to revive this rivalry to elevate the state of Georgia’s football to the level it deserves. Also, as always, win or lose, I am looking forward to next year…

It is not realistic to think that GT will defeat UGA on any sort of a regular basis. Why not keep Chan (he really is a nice guy with some class unlike some of GT’s so called fans)and apply for readmittance to a real Football Conference, the SEC. We dont have a Duke (Vandy is much better) and you would fit in nicely. That way we could schedule you for Homecoming and it would count as a conference win for us. We really would appreciate it and you would have the honor of getting beat in really bigtime stadiums by the likes of LSU, Auburn, UT, UF, USC, Alabama, and of course UGA. Of course you would have to give up playing powerhouses like Duke, UNC, NCSU but then you would have a better reason for complaining about your team. Give it some thought and give the SEC a call. P.S. If you really want to dump Chan i hear Donnan is waiting in the wings……buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I am as disappointed as any Tech fan with the loss yesterday, however, I am still proud of the tremendous defensive effort by the Jackets. Too many dropped passes, and too many lucky breaks for Ga. Regardless, of the reasons It appears that Gailey is gone. We will have to wait and see who the next coach will be and take it from there.

As a Georgia fan, I have not missed a Georgia-Tech game since the early 70’s. I believe yesterday was the most Georgia fans I’ve EVER seen at “Historic” Grant Field. Tech fans should be embarrassed. Also, Tenuta continues to be the most overated coach in the country.

For all the Tech fans calling for Coach Gailey to be gone, please do me a favor and don’t come back to the games next year. Winning is a great thing, but it should not be the total measure. I would rather our student-athletes come out of Tech prepared to be successful in life. We have some outstanding young men in our program, am I am proud of what they do on and off the field. I would love for us to beat the puppies every year, but I am not willing to sacrifice integrity to do accomplish that. Coach Gailey, thank you for your commitment to our program and the work you have done in developing our student-athletes into outstanding young men. Keep up the good work.

Trah, I am not a tech fan-just a football fan with nuthin’ to do…
I gotta tell ya, winning is a pretty big deal.Losing to your biggest rival, year after year, will get you fired. And it should.Ask Donnan or Goff.
Any good middle aged man with leadership skills , can mold and develop young guys into fine people.
That is worth 30 thousand bucks a year.
If you can grow the young men and win games , you will be paid millions of dollars per year.
As a dawg fan, I love Chan, he should bring in Reggie as asst. Head Coach.
That will not happen . He is fired.

Now I can tell some of you are upset with me. Just let me remind you that I am a nice man. I also have 4 years left on a contract that will cost you $4 million to buy out. I do not know what all this fussing about won-lost records is all about anyway. Someone I once knew and loved said “It’s just a game, dog.” I think we should all think about that. If you get upset about a tech loss, then concentrate on your SAT score. If the team has a bad day, think about the amount of money you THINK you will make when you graduate. Of course it won’t be as much as me. As for hiring another coach, I cannot for the life of me think of anyone who realistically would take this job. Tech is a trash heap.
