Bynum’s return doesn’t help

Not even a flash from the past could resurrect Georgia Tech’s basketball team Tuesday night against Virginia Tech.

Former player Will Bynum showed up at the game to cheer on the Jackets. Bynum is in Roanoke, playing for the Roanoke Dazzle of the NBA Developmental League. Bynum isn’t just playing, though. He’s leading. He’s the league’s leading scorer and is second in assists.

Bynum, who played with the Boston Celtics’ summer league team, is also leading the NBDL in turnovers. Improving on that is his primary focus nowadays where he said Tuesday he is having a great time and enjoying full-time basketball. He couldn’t get much enjoyment, however, from watching Georgia Tech drop its sixth-straight game.

The Thrillerdome is in Atlanta off 10th Street, not in Blacksburg, VA. So Bynum did not return to the Thrillerdome.

Good for Will…league’s leading scorer…

Bynum must have learn turnovers while he was at Tech, but he can’t hold a candle to this bunch. I scared Hewitt may shoot himself before the posse comes in next year. Chan has a winning record and he is going the wrong direction, Hewitt has a losing record, but has a very bright future.

It speaks volume about Tech that this is the topic for the blog on National Signing Day for football.

Nice jab, Bryan G. That’s why this blag has 3 posts and the signing day blog has dozens…

Idiot…

And Rana, does Bynum lead the NDBL in turnovers (what the article infers) or in turnover forced? Big difference…

I was wondering if anybody saw the Duke-B.C. game last night. I was amazed at how many calls went Duke’s way. It’s not anything new but it was ridiculous to see Coach “K” whine and cuss like a sailor every time the camera was on him like a little spoiled brat. The refs might as well have been wearing blue. I can’t stand anything about the “Dukies”. I am a big Dawg fan but I just wanted to vent my dislike of all things Duke.

I said the hawks should have signed Will as a free agent, the kid is fearless going to the basket, he is exceptional at getting in the lane which is what the hawks needed. I would make rather be seeing Will playing and taking some lumps for a team with zero chance of winning over 30 games this year - Lue is fine for a backup but his skills are minimal and Salim and Joe play out of position when at point. Good for Will, hope he gets a real shot with someone next year.
