New deal for Tech

This is a much different bowl experience for Georgia Tech’s football players than they had last year in Orlando.
The team hotel in Orlando was a long way from anywhere. This time, they’re right in the heart of San Francisco, an easy walk from Chinatown and a trolley ride from Fisherman’s Wharf.
Practice is in the morning; the players have lots of time to go exploring and shopping.
I was headed out toward Chinatown last night and saw Rashaun Grant carrying a long box. “What’s that?” I asked. “A samurai sword,” he said. So now we know how he plans to slice through the Utah defense.
