Good move, maybe he can win a race now. I will miss him being number 8 and I am not taking my number 8 stuff down, but I see this as a good move. Move Casey Mears to the 5 car, put Dale Jr. in the 25 car and let Kyle Busch find a new team. Then stop all the cautions letting Jeff Gordon win and get back to racin’ the way it should be. Get the yuppies out of NASCAR.

Why blame Dale Jr for wanting to win championships? It was either Gibbs racing or Hendrick Motorsports, if you are a true fan of Dale shouldn’t you support him no matter which team he’s on?

This is just too good. The Red”neck” Army is in for a little makeover. I love it that polished, articulate, well spoken non-southerns are KILLING the rest of NASCAR. Dale fans roll in with the angel “3” on their vehicles (that’s what country people call their car/trucks)and root for the son of a legend. I love racing, but people hating Johnson or Gordon because they don’t have a southern accent is so stupid is crazy. Now Dale Jr will be a part of the best racing team in NASCAR, but sadly … he’ll only be the 4th best driver. Gordon is on his was to winning number 5 in cups … old and new points systems. I know Sr is 3 on the track, 1 in your heart, Dale 4-ever, but that era is loooooong gone, Ricky, Hunter, Tanner or whatever Dale fan’s names are. Maybe you’ll be first in line for the Jimmie Johnson/Jeff Gordon/Dale Jr dye cast collector’s cars … but I doubt it. Did I mention I sooooo loving this.

PS: In honor of Dale Sr, I’m wearing $2 sunglasses from the filling station … just like #3 use to. Ahhh, memories.

First off, for the idiots who did not know JGordon and Dale Sr. were friends and had a business together. It never has made any since. shock, I respect your opinion and I hope for your sake that you haven’t bet much money on your group this season. Maybe you can answer a question for me. The last few years JG has had his struggles and hasn’t won a Championship in a while. Why are Jr’s. fans screaming that it’s fixed when he wins. None of the drivers disagreed with the caution flag that ended Pocono(SP) or when he beat Hamlin with his engine blowing steam, He had simply put himself in a position to win. I don’t understand the hate? Can you explain?

Jeff Gordon is to NASCAR what the Yankees are to baseball. They both win alot and its easy to hate them. Why? The Yanks have a ridiculous payroll. Gordon is from California. Of course Dale Jr fans will say Gordon was “given” a win or he cheated. If your favorite driver doesnt race for Hendrick, your going to feel that way. Fan is short for Fanatic. And whether or not it makes any sense, your going to support your favorite driver or team with blind loyalty. Much like Vick apologists whom are the craziest of all. But I do think there is something going on when Kyle Busch driving a Sharpie car wins the Sharpie 500. Or Matt Kenseth coming in 2nd (he should have won) in the USG Sheetrock race while driving a USG Sheetrock car. Jimmie Johnson races very well at Lowes Motor Speedway. Coincedence? Greg Biffle won the Subway race in Phoenix and is sponsored by Subway. The list goes on and there are TOO many examples to list. I think what NASCAR does is inspect some cars much more thoroughly than others in certain races. I hope this makes a little sense as i am in a really big hurry!

It’s dumb to believe otherwise.

Even one of the main participants in the “sport” admitted to it being fixed.

If you believe it’s not fixed, then I suggest you take a look at the NASCAR rule book, and how those rules are applied.

Need I mention the France family here?

Everyone with any knowledge of NASCAR (and I do mean EVERYONE) will admit the rule book and punishments are so unclear and haphazardly enforced that it would lead to the ability to “fix” races, which is exactly what is happening.

It’s sad that in the year 2007 there are some people that believe NASCAR is still a competitive sport, instead of entertainment. Then again, there were people in the 1980’s that believed professional wresting was still real…

You simpletons realize that off the track, Dale Sr respected Gordon just as much as he did on the track, and was something of a mentor to Gordon in the years before his death, right?

This whole “rivaly” between the Earnhardts and Gordon is something the media cooked up, and you morons have lapped up like parched labradors. There is no rivalry. Before I have every southern gentleman (and rednecks) beating down my door in Athens, let me say I love NASCAR. I think that besides hockey, NASCAR is the best spectator sport there is. This is a sport meant to be seen live, like hockey. With TV timeouts interupting play ever 5 minutes, football has becom the true TV sport. I still love a day at Sanford Stadium, but if it’s a nationally televised game, there never seems to be any rhythm. Football is ruled by the TV dollar. But NASCAR isn’t, and it can’t ever be. What, are they going to have the guys pit for a commercial break? To truly, really understand and love NASCAR, you have to be at the track and surround yourself with the fans, the sights, and the sounds. The beer, the sun, and the very beautiful girls.

NASCAR is awesome. It’s too bad that a very loud minority of it’s fans are a bunch of inbred idiots. That’s all.

If you watch much NASCAR you either don’t pay attention, or you’re drunk.

There are plenty of “TV timeouts” in NASCAR - because not much happens for minutes on end, and if you REALLY need a “timeout”, NASCAR simply throws out a yellow flag for “debris on the track”.

Jr. now there is a name. Jr. implies that he must be living off of Daddy, don’t you think. After he loses with Rick, Jeff and Jimmy don’t, what will his excuse be. Two drivers came out of the Busch series the same year, Jr. and Matt, one was a daddy’s boy and the other goes by another name. NASCAR champion. Jeff, Jimmy, Kurt, Matt all champs but where is Jr.? Never been, probably never will be, and now his fans have to desert him … he is bed with the enemy.

Jr. is over rated. Budweiser has wasted a lot of money over the last few years sponsering him. If Jr. ever wins a championship, it will be because NASCAR rigged the rules in his favor just like they did when Jr. won the Firecracker 400 in 2001. They wanted him to win so badly at the track where Dale Sr. died because it would make a great story line. NASCAR is nothing more than an expensive soap opera.
