THANK YOU, JEFF! I have had it with Sopranos talk from EVERYONE. I know it’s a great show nad I watch it on Netflix, but for the love of Pete. People need to get over it. Braves 2 games back, Spurs killing the Cavs, Tigers killing the Mets, Federer vs Nadal, US Open … but you’d never know by watching ESPN. If Roger Clemens guest stars on the Sopranos … watch out for 24 hour coverage.

What is worse Espn talking about the Soparnos or Ajc talking about Paris Hilton?and whats the difference between watching the Soparanos and listing to “gangsta rap?”If Vick leaves I predict a siginifcant drop in attendance at the GA dome.I think Culpepper is done.But what is the hype about Trent Green?yeah he puts up good stats during the regular season,but what has he done in the playoffs?Vick has more playoff wins than Green!

Let me give you some news, the feds knew Mike Vick was involved in Dogfighting in 2004 when Thomas F weigner was shot and killed after a dogfight in Texas over $100,000. When the feds investigated the case in every city the only name that kept coming up was Mike Vick.

I dont know Jeff. At my office there are 57 employees. 45 of them saw The Sopranos and the other 12 had it Tivoed. It’s also important to note that the NBA finals ratings was lower than the Sopranos finale. The black screen was also a much bigger topic this week than the finals, tennis, or anything Braves related combined.

I did like the ‘facts’ argument. They are asking for time so that the ‘facts’ become nobody can prove anything on Vick.

Why did the Feds take over? Probably because enough people don’t want that to happen.

Whether you’re a MV7 supporter or not, it’s time to face the facts: once the Federal Government gets involved, it’s over.

Now that the Feds have gotten involved in MV7’s dogfighting hobby, it’s only a matter of time before he’s in court facing charges. The Feds don’t mess around, like the Surry County DA’s office. They’re pretty serious about interstate crime, racketeering, RICO - laws they bust people like Tony Soprano for.

Even if Vick manages to get out of this situation with a good team of lawyers, the NFL doesn’t care. Provide enough evidence and Goodell with ban MV7 from the league FOREVER.

This isn’t the post of a racist, but a realist. It’s time everyone joins reality and realizes MV7’s days are numbered as an employee of the NFL. I figure the only people dumb enough to support MV7 through his mediocre career are also dumb enough not to realize he’s about to go down…

Your comment is based on the fact that he is seeking evidence and truth in this case and refusing to join the I hate Mike Vick bandwagon.So we have two investigations going for a dog fighting case. What a waist of taxpayers money. I guess there aren’t enough murders and rapes to keep the federal law enforcement busy. This whole situation has become one big joke. Trust me if it’s this hard to charge him, good luck getting a conviction.Vick will be cleared and have a great season this year.

Money well placed can influence a lot of outcomes but federal issues carry a very heavy contingency that may well not be worth the salvation of a sacred son. Given the previous indiscretions, the “camels back may well be broken” with this straw when all that really needed to be done was to “let sleeping dogs lie” and the “cow jump over the moon”.

Well, in a follow-up: Looks like the “feds” are now jumping all over the moon “light road” issue.

To continue the story of this sordid tale, the implications are that there are a lot more participants and charges that might be brought. “High Rollers” require high rollers to roll. The make-up of those who would be involved with this issue would have to come from similar backgrounds and have the assets to pursue the activity with the apparent ferocity that has been exposed at the Virginia location. This, coupled with most likely interstate transport of animals for illegal activities, gambling, tax evasion and possibly racketeering could put in jeopardy many individuals envolved in professional sports, including not only the NFL but also the NBA and the MLB leagues.

With certanity, the FBI is into this and when the hammer falls, the last person to be would be Roger Goodell. Given his previous pursuit of indiscretions affecting the league image, who knows how many will be in jeopardy, in and out of his shadow.

You people, especially you Schultz don’t realize this is not “The Michael Vick Investigation”, it is a dogfighting investigation at a property he JOINTLY (you never mentioned that)owned with a Charles Reamon that had a kennel in the back of it OWNED by Tony Taylor. At least we’ll have some warning before a grand jury indicts Michael Vick with the RICO Act - my advice to everyone is to stay out of Black neighborhoods, especially on that coming day of indictment. Will the prosecution get a conviction just because MV owns the house, or because a couple of federal inmates say he’s heavily involved in dog-fighting? What about all of the evidence collected from the property? Does this evidence link MV? Oh yeah, he owns the property… There are other witnesses (next door neighbors) who claim they haven’t heard any kind of dog-fighting related sounds coming from the property. They wont make good prosecution witnesses.

I don’t have the time to plug all the holes in this investigation against MV, but there probably is enough to investigate the people living at the house. Think about it, the cops initially went to the house to execute a drug warrant for MV’s cousin. They confiscated drug paraphernalia but to-date haven’t charged MV with it. Why you ask? Because they charged his cousin. Then why don’t they charge his cousin with dog-fighting? That is the question…

If MV has ever been involved in dog-fighting at this property, creditable eyewitnesses have to be produced. You’re not going to succeed with currently incarcerated individuals who are cutting deals to testify for a reduction in their sentence.

Anyway, I’ve got to be going. Responses welcomed!

Listen Mike or Michael Vick, whatever he wants to be called isn’t going to lead the Falcons to the Super Bowl. After 5 or 6 seasons he’s no better than he was rookie year.

After all, that’s what the Feds do: they bring down criminals.

Mike Vick isn’t a “criminal” according to normal, municipal standards, but a criminal according to the standards of the federal government - that is, the RICO Act.

The RICO Act is the “nuclear weapon” of federal prosecutors, and they haven’t been afraid of using it since it came into existence. As a matter of fact, the Feds MUST use the RICO Act to rationalize both it’s and their existence.

Mike Vick will be yet another victim of the RICO Act.

If he would have just stayed out of interstate crime (dog fighting, gambling, that sort of thing) he wouldn’t be facing these problems. But, he didn’t, and now he faces a few years in the Federal Penitentiary System. And I’m not saying that because he’s Black, I’m saying that because that’s just how the world of (in)justice works these days.

With our city divided and Vick moving from one mess to another, I don’t see how we can have a winning season. How can Vick lead if cannot control himself? I’m pulling for him to succeed because I want a winner. I just don’t see his problems improving though. Unfortunately he’s like a kid who constantly hangs with the wrong crowd. His ‘friends’ are just bad people and his family isn’t any better. If he cannot divorce himself from this bad influences, he’s doomed. I’m saying this because everybody thinks Vick isn’t the problem, it’s the company he keeps. He needs to cut loose his posse and his family but I don’t see that happening. You can take Vick out of the ‘hood’ but you cannot take the ‘hood’ out of Vick. How sad.
