T.O., Moss: Moore trouble than they’re worth

Terence Moore

This is scary: If many folks around the Falcons Nation had their way, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss or both would be at training camp in Flowery Branch right now.

They both spoke publicly about the Falcons’ needs at wide receiver. They both said they wanted to play in Atlanta. They both weren’t given the opportunity.

Good. No, great.

Moss is being Moss again. I mean, is he really pouting over not getting enough playing time in an exhibition game?

Not only that, T.O. hasn’t stopped being T.O. by spending most of his training camp riding a stationary bike instead of catching passes. Something about a supposedly aching hamstring that has Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells rolling his eyes.

They both are fabulous players, and they both aren’t worth it.

Now that we have your opinion Mr. Moore, Let’s ask Vick what he thinks. How would he like to have a REAL threat on the outside. Someone to bail him out every now and then (because he is great, but not perfect). While you’re at it, name one Super Bowl winning QB that didn’t have a reliable target at wideout. T.O. and Moss are future Hall of Famers. White and Jenkins, I’m not even sure if they have a future in Atlanta. Sure these guys need time to develop, but how much? Remember what Moss did in his first season? Ever heard of Larry Fitzgerald? Finally, if you want choir boys, go scout a church.

Some of us feel that football players should be have more substance and morals than politicans and priest. Who cares if T.O is riding a stationary bike? Who cares if Moss has a temper tantrum? I don’t have to live with either of them…Bottom line is money creates a great divide. Some fans look at these highly visible young men and they see them as spoiled, rich, athletically talented gangsters. If it bothers you that T.O. is riding a stationary bike..STOP REPORTING IT..IGNORE HIM! YOU ARE YOUR OWN WORST ENEMY…

REALLY, LET’S BE SERIOUS:T.O. HAS NEVER TAKEN A PLAY OFF. NOW MOSS, THAT’S ANOTHER STORY. YES, THESE ARE TWO HIGH IMPACT PLAYERS THAT MAY HAVE NOT BEEN A GOOD FIT WITH THE FALCONS SCHEME, BUT THAT’S IT. HOWEVER, I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN OPPOSED TO SIGNING EITHER OR BOTH OF THEM BEACUSE THEY ARE GAME CHANGERS. I THINK MANY OF YOU ENVY THE BLACK ATHLETE, BECAUSE THEY CAN & WILL GET AWAY WITH EVERYTHING. I LOVE IT! HATE ON! ATL, STAND UP!

Mr. Moore,

I would think you wouldn’t participate in the T.O., Moss bashing so early…its just the preseason. Could the Falcons have used them … of course! Here are two receivers juxtaposed to one another, and demonized for various reasons. True, they may bring some of the negative attention onto themselves, but fortunately I grew up in a household where atheletes were not my role models so I don’t expect choir boy behavior from them.

As far as Moss talking about he wants more playing time, I mean dang the man was just commenting on how he wanted to show his old fan base a good show. Opposite of that is T.O. who barely practices, obviously because he doesn’t want to get injured as Clinton Portis and many others.

I understand that by and large most of these atheletes are million dollar slaves (I haven’t read the book yet), but they don’t have any power in part because they are castrated by the media continually.

I am a NFL fan in general and a Niner fan specifically. The disruption that Owens caused in the locker room and coach’s office, while he was in San Francisco, was extremely negative and hard to listen to. Most fans were estatic to be done with him!

I guess you want T.O. to pay on a torn hamstring? Get Real. Certainly Moss wants to show up the team that traded him. How often does coaches give the ex-favorite son a chance to stick it to the old team. Come on Man, do be foolish

No, TM is exactly right. You can talk all day, and rightly so, about the talents of TO and Moss, but they’re egos totally outweigh their considerable talents. They’re both all about themselves and themselves only, and one player has never won a Super Bowl.

If you want to invite these two cancers into the Falcons’ locker room, then you’re about as short-sighted as they come. Moss has never won anything, and while TO was a large part of the Eagles’ run to the Super Bowl, Minnesota, SF and Philadelphia all are saying “good riddance” today.

Just as the Falcons would after a year or two of these clowns’ selfish antics.

Do we have to continue to do the white boys dirty work? I’ve never seen a article where you have denegrated any Caucasian person like you so comfortably did to Mr. Owens and Mr. Moss. I suspect you are driven to get a raise or a promotion for your deeds. We always have “one” that helps the other side. I think most of us would agree that you are more trouble than you’re worth! Not a football fan but, advocate for black men who are trying to make a honest living without hurting others, unlike so-called columinst Terrence “hater” Moore.

Oh Concern Citizen - what are you smoking today? Have you ever read Terence’s columns before? 99% of his columns are race bashing against whites. Any you want to say he’s doing the white boys dirty work? You are a total idiot. Stop smoking that weed or crack and wake up to reality!

Funny how when the truth hurts it’s racism. Terrance has done nothing more than state the obvious. To all of you that think regardless of Moss’s and T.O. antics that they should be given a chance here in Atlanta based on their skill have OBVIOUSLY never played a team sport or it was so long ago you’ve forgotten. Players like Moss and T.O. never bring a team to it’s full potential. That’s why no team that either of these guys ever play on will play to their full potential while they act the way they do.

You may win some games but you’ll never be a true team and come together. Keep them out of Atlanta!

Speaking of smoking weed, I think Terrence got in it and forgot he’s a racist bigot himself. But the funny thing is I STILL disagree with him. Moss and TO are special talents and they know it. I am a special talent where I work and I use it to my advantage to get what I want and need. Thats how the world works my friends. The stars, the guys you need to win get special treatment. Smoltz gets special treatment, Vick gets special treatment, Ilya Kovalchuk gets special treatment. The difference is that Moss and TO are more blatant about it to get the media’s attention. In TO’s case, Parcells feels like he is being called out and he in turn is trying to force the issue. Believe me, if the Cowboys are winning with TO riding a bike at practice. Parcells will be the first to hand him his stretchy pants when he hits the locker room. The Eagles thought they could win without TO. They were wrong. And everybody else is too. If I’m a coach and the players complained to me about one guy getting preferential treatment, I would tell them to get their a*s in gear and earn that same treatment themselves but until then shut their mouths. The stars aren’t the problems its the do-nothings around them that create the rancor. Life is about being better than the next guy, whether you trade stocks in New York or hunt from a grass hut in the Kalahari. The guy, whos faster, stronger, smarter will always have things that others do not.

And oh,yeah…Vick is a fool if he doesn’t hink Moss or TO wouldn’t make him twice as good.
