Unfinished business

Just take a minute to soak in what just happened. RHS hosted PTR, tied the ball game, and won it in overtime. Wow, just wow. The Hornets played their hearts out the whole game, and came away with the W.

First half was not Hornet football, we had a chance to make the game 3-3, but a bad snap and a great return made the game 10-0. Coach Mac chewed us out during halftime. We made great half time adjustments and came out on fire. Our first Touchdown came from Alex Daniels, then a field goal by Jim Broadway made the game 10-10. PTR struck back on a touchdown pass, making the game 17-10. TO tie the game the Hornet’s Garrett Embry made a great touchdown on a second effort left, making the score 17-17 with 19 seconds left in the game. Everyone was estatic, the game of the century went into overtime. The Hornet’s Defense made a great stop forcing the field goal. Alex Daniels came up big to make the game 23-20 with the Hornets win.

Next week we travel down to Lowndes County to play one of our toughest matches of the season. I hope to see you all there.

GO HORNETS!!!!

What kinda lesson does that kinda win show our kids..Step up to the plate coach and declare who really won…watch the reply and tell the world who really won…of course you won’t do it we all know that..just remember boys honesty and telling the truth in life’s journey is what builds strong character..Maybe the coach needs a lesson in life….

sour grapes, i think you need a lesson in life. McFarlin is the greatest and most influential person i have come to meet. If you watch football you know that some teams get breaks, and others get heartbreaks. its apart of football and life. YOu need a lesson in accepting a loss and moving forward. You cant win every game. Roswell played their hearts out in their comeback win. Go HORNETS. BEAT LOWDNES!

Sourgrapes, even if ya’ll did get the fumble, AD broke the plane. You guys could of picked it up and ran it back for a touchdown, but it wouldn’t of mattered because once the ball breaks the plane, the plays dead. Better luck next year.

edit: again, smokey (clever name har har har) AD crossed the plane, I’ve seen replays of that play at leasta dozen times today from my dad (the film coach for RHS) and he clearly crossed the plane

Christmas came early for AD and he knows it. It wasn’t even close. Too bad an officials call really did effect the outcome of the game and anyone who believes any different are living in fantasyland.

I’ll take the win, as for the fumble, hmmmmmm…. bordeline call. Like you said, sometimes you get the calls, sometimes you don’t. I’ve had quite a few go against me in my 40 plus years, so I’ll take one that goes in my favor. The Hornets clearly outplayed the Lions for most of the evening. I’d say that PR was fortunate to get all the bounces in their favor on at least three of their own fumbles that I counted, not to mention two of Roswell’s. Stop your crying and go enjoy the off-season Peachtree Ridge. Go RHS, you’ll need to play a little better next week!

Sour grapes,

The Roswell coach did not decide the game; the referees decided the touchdown therefore the game. To insinuate Roswell did anything wrong or malicious is just ignorant. Your beef is with the game officials.

Roswell eliminate the miscues and you can make it two in a row. Winning at Lowdnes and certainly you will be on the way to earning the championship the hard way.

Best of luck!

I was one of Alex Daniels biggest fans until friday night. He knows he fumbled that ball, we all know he fumbled. Hope he doesn’t feed that bull-hockey to his kids, oneday. We all know how lies can fester. enjoy your ill-gotten attention. Right is right, and this is not right. HORNET ‘99

hope Roswell goes all the way.

I was in the end zone and watched it on TV.

The ball was loose when it crossed the plane and the knees were down at the one and a half yard line.

Even my Roswell friends have told me PR got screwed.

Take the win and go all the way but don’t try and say it was a TD without provideing the Video.

I thought nothing could be worse than the “Tie”, I was wrong.

Good Luck.
